Introduction to prepositional calculus, Propositional Logic: Proposition, First order logic,
Basic logical operation, truth tables, tautologies, contradictions, Algebra of Proposition,
logical implications, logical equivalence, predicates, Universal and existential quantifiers.
Unit 3:
PARTIAL ORDER RELATIONS AND LATTICES: Partial Order Sets,
Representation of POSETS using Hasse diagram, Chains, Maximal and Minimal Point,
Glb, lub, Lattices & Algebric Systems, Principle of Duality, Basic Properties,
Sublattices,Distributed & Complemented Lattices.
Unit 4
Groups and Subgroups: Group axioms, Permutation, Subgroups, Cosets, Normal subgroups,
semi-groups, FREE Semi-groups, Applications, (modular arithmetic).
Unit 5
Recurrence relation, solving recurrence relation by substitution, solving recurrence relation
by conversion to linear recurrence relation.Number Theory: GCD, Euclidean algorithm,

cut over, document the system, evaluate the MIS, control and maintain the system.
