Media have taken a great role in todays world. Every body in the world are dependent upon media of communication. People get updated by way of media itself. Media is the way by which we can get information, knowledge, learn, play, etc.in the present world. In communications, media (singular medium) are the storage and transmission channels or tools used to store and deliver information or data. There is no doubt that todays media environment increases choices, provides opportunities for cultural expression and dialogue, and facilitates the flow of information at the planetary level. We use several ways of media for the mode of communication in our life. All the work we do also depend upon media of communication and the also uses the media for the purpose of communication. Media technology has made communicating increasingly easier as time has passed throughout history. Today, children are encouraged to use media tools in school and are expected to have a general understanding of the various technologies available. The internet is arguably one of the most effective tools in media for communication. Tools such as e-mail, MSN, Face book etc., have brought people closer together and created new online communities.
Communication and electronic media go hand in hand. The role and importance of electronic communication can't be overlooked. Electronic information interchange is necessary for the survival in current era. Information is the back bone of the economy of a Nation. Electronic media has improved communication numerous ways. Internet has immensely helped in communicating. There are a lot of new websites coming in each day, each hour. Emails are an efficient and economical mode for communication with no time restraints and country borders. More and more people use emails to communicate and spread information. The Internet and electronic communications doesnt just mean new tools for communication; it means new ways to communicate. Today our organization interacts with its various constituents differently - employees, board members, customers, partners and others - depending upon the nature of the message. The goals you are trying to achieve and the strengths (and weaknesses) of the available media - telephones, voice mail, fax machines, print, etc. For example: Electronic communications is interactive. It engages audiences in active, two-way communications. Many organizations are using electronic communications facilities, such as the World Wide Web, as internal communications tools to enhance team work. With the Internet you have the ability to transmit and receive large amounts of information quickly to and from individuals and workgroups around the world.
Since the advent of technological revolution, my writing skills have improved and developed to cope up with the changing pace of technologies
present. Because of technological revolution, computers and the Internet have emerged, two technology media that increased the speed and pace in which humans communicate. Through computers, people can now write without the fuss and effort that is put in writing in handwritten form. Computers provided ease in writing by allowing users to just tap into keys in the keyboard, and produce compositions without too much physical effort. Furthermore, writing in computers allows you to think in afreestyle' form, making it possible to write immediately into the computer without exactly putting your thoughts into writing (of course, an outline is still needed for compositions). The Internet, on the other hand, allowed users to communicate via chat or email. Just like the mode of writing in computers, communication in the Internet is fast paced and written, since communication is conducted in real time.
Yes, the media has brought revolution in the communication through various ways like internet, radio, television, etc.Internet has taken wide space in the hearts of the people because the internet is the communication process by which we can communicate with friends, peoples whoever are far away from us. Business transactions are being done now a day through the medium of internet.
The invention of the telegraph, telephone, radio, and computer set the stage for this unprecedented integration of capabilities. The Internet is at once a world-wide broadcasting capability, a mechanism for information dissemination, and a medium for collaboration and interaction between individuals and their computers without regard for geographic location.
