1. Connect to Cat ET.

2. Select the Service tab.

3. Select the Configuration tab to view the configuration parameters.

If an ECM is replaced, the appropriate parameters must be copied from the old ECM. Copy the parameters with the "Copy Configuration" feature of
the Cat ET. The "Copy Configuration" tab is below the "Configuration" tab. Alternatively, the settings can be recorded on paper and then
programmed into the configuration screen that is for the new module.

If a programmable parameter has not been programmed, the ECM will generate a 268-2 diagnostic code. The programmable parameter that is not
programmed will be listed under the code. The unprogrammed parameters will be set to default. Certain aspects of the engines performance and
engine monitoring may be affected.

If "Injector Trim" is displayed below a 268-2 diagnostic code on Cat ET, refer to Troubleshooting Injector Trim File - Install  .
