RAGLAN:
Increase 1 stitch before/after 2 stocking stitches in each transition between the body and sleeves. The
marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches.
Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over.
On the next round work the yarn overs as follows:
BEFORE MARKER-THREAD:
Slip the yarn over onto the right needle, then and place it back on the left needle the other way round
(insert the left needle from the back when replacing it). Knit the front loop (the stitch twists to the right) =
no hole.
AFTER MARKER-THREAD:
Knit the back loop (the stitch twists to the left) = no hole.
Work the new stitches in stocking stitch.

divided for body and sleeves and the body is continued in the round with circular needle. The sleeves are
worked with short circular needle/double pointed needles.
DOUBLE NECK:
Cast on 64-64-72-72-72-72 stitches with DROPS Air, using short circular needles size 5 and 3.5 mm held
together. Remove the 5 mm needle keeping stitches on the 3,5 mm needle (doing this gives you an elastic
cast-on edge). Work rib in the round (knit 2, purl 2) for 7-7-7-9-9-9 cm.
Fold the neck double to the inside and work 1 more round of rib, working every 4th stitch together with its
corresponding stitch on the cast-on edge.
You now have a double neck.
The yoke is measured from here.
Insert 4 marker-threads without working the stitches. Each thread is inserted between 2 knitted stitches
and marks the raglan-line.
Count 9 stitches (approx. half back piece), insert marker-thread 1 before the next stitch, count 16 stitches
(sleeve), insert marker-thread 2 before the next stitch, count 16-16-20-20-20-20 stitches (front piece),
insert marker-thread 3 before the next stitch, count 16 stitches (sleeve), insert marker-thread 4 before the
next stitch. There are 7-7-11-11-11-11 stitches left after the last marker-thread (approx. half back piece).
Knit 1 round and increase 8-8-0-4-4-4 stitches evenly as described below (in size 5/6 years, knit 1 round
without increasing) – read INCREASE TIP.
Knit to 1 stitch before marker-thread 1 and increase 1-1-0-2-2-2 stitches evenly over these stitches, knit
to 1 stitch past marker-thread 2 without increasing, knit the next 14-14-18-18-18-18 stitches and increase
4-4-0-2-2-2 stitches evenly over these stitches, knit to 1 stitch past marker-thread 4 without increasing,
knit the last 6-6-10-10-10-10 stitches and increase 3-3-0-0-0-0 stitches evenly over these stitches =
72-72-72-76-76-76 stitches.
There are 20-20-20-22-22-22 stitches on the front and back pieces and 16 stitches on each sleeve.
YOKE:
Change to circular needle size 5 mm. Work stocking stitch and increase for RAGLAN – see description
above, as described below. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
Increase on each side of the 4 marker-threads every 2nd round 5-5-4-5-5-5 times =
112-112-104-116-116-116 stitches.
Now continue to increase every 2nd round but every other increase is only on the front and back pieces,
not on the sleeves (4 stitches increased). i.e., increase on the front/back pieces every 2nd row and on the
sleeves every 4th row. Increase like this 10-12-14-14-14-16 times on the front/back pieces (5-6-7-7-7-8
times on the sleeves). You have increased a total of 15-17-18-19-19-21 times on the front/back pieces and
10-11-11-12-12-13 times on the sleeves.
front and back pieces, 36-38-38-40-40-42 stitches between marker-threads on the sleeves). The yoke
measures approx. 14-15-16-17-17-19 cm, measured after the rib mid-front. Continue working without
further increases if necessary, to get the correct length.
BODY:
= 120-128-136-144-148-156 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch in the round for a further
11-14-17-20-22-22 cm. Knit 1 round and increase 20-24-24-24-28-28 stitches evenly spaced – read
INCREASE TIP = 140-152-160-168-176-184 stitches.
Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 5 cm. Loosely cast off. The jumper
measures approx. 34-38-42-46-48-50 cm from the shoulder.
SLEEVES:
Place the 34-36-36-38-38-40 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on short circular
needle/double pointed needles size 5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the new stitches cast on under the
sleeve = 42-44-46-48-50-52 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the 8-8-10-10-12-12 new
stitches under the sleeve. Start at the marker-thread and work stocking stitch in the round.
When the sleeve measures 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm decrease 2 stitches mid under sleeve – read DECREASE TIP.
Decrease like this every 2½-3-4½-5-5½-5½ cm a total of 5-5-5-5-5-6 times = 32-34-36-38-40-40
stitches.
Continue working until the sleeve measures 15-20-23-27-32-35 cm from the division. There is approx. 7
cm left; try the jumper on and work to desired length before the rib.
Knit 1 round and increase 8-10-12-10-12-12 stitches evenly spaced = 40-44-48-48-52-52 stitches.
Change to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 7 cm. Cast off a little
loosely. The sleeve measures approx. 22-27-30-34-39-42 cm from the division.
Work the other sleeve in the same way.
