report in pdf. This should be written in a concise formal business style using
single spacing and font size 12. You are required to make use of headings,

paragraphs, and subsections as appropriate, and all work must be supported
with research and referencing using the Harvard referencing system.
Use Microsoft Word for documentation and report.
Your report must be formatted as follow:
• Font Name : Verdana
• Font : 12 pt
• Margin : 0.75 inches (round)
• Line Spacing : 1.5 pt.
• Alignment : Justify
• Left hand side of header : Batch Number
• Right and side of header : Your name
• Center of footer : Page Number
• Use the Harvard referencing system.
• Complete the tile page and sign the statement of authenticity.
• Your assignment must be submitted in pdf format.

Unit Learning Outcomes

The purpose of this assignment is to:

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able technical proficiency


in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting, which develops
applicable to various IT roles and effectively address network-related challenges
and optimize IT technologies.

Vocational scenario

You are employed as an IT Support Engineer by a Myanmar Networking Solution


development organisation to provide assistance to our company. You will be
responsible for providing technical assistance to end users and undertaking daily

operation support of IT system on a project for a Sharp & Smart Educational
institution. You will need to analyse the specification from the institution below
for completion of this project within a given timeframe:

People: 100 students, 12 teachers, 6 marketing and administration staff, 5


higher managers including the head of academics and the programme manager,
3 computer network administrators.

Given the above scenario, produce a report that includes:

Part 1 Reporting the Responsibilities for Company

You will need to produce a report for the Project manager that includes the
following:

¨ An introduction to provide an overview of your report.


¨ Examine networking Principles and their protocols a discussion on the
benefits and constraints of different network types and standards, as
the impact of network topology, communication, and bandwidth
requirements.
¨ An Explanation of discuss the operating principles of networking devices
and Server types, as well as the inter-dependence of workstation
hardware with relevant networking software.
¨ Comparison networking principles and how protocols enable the
effectiveness of network systems.
¨ Explore a range of server types and justify the selection of a server,
regarding cost and performance optimization considering a given
scenario with description and selection were concerned with company.
¨ Evaluate the given scenario, identify the topology protocol selected for
the efficient utilisation of a networking system.

Assignment activity and guidance

Essential guidance:
1. You should provide a clear step-by-step technical help, communicate with
users through solved a technical issue.
2. You should discuss Design, and administering Intranet, Extranet, Local
Area Network, Wide Area Network and Virtualization Multi-Cloud
connectivity.
3. You should explain and knowledge on supporting networking hardware
such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers with an
advantage.
4. You should good understanding of computer systems, network devices
and other tech products.
5. You should manage hardware assets of the company and understand the
root of the problem.
6. You should be understanding of network protocols, routing, switching and
troubleshooting techniques.
7. You should manage network systems and protocols, including firewalls,
VPNs, DHCP, static, Dynamic Routing.
8. You should conduct network capacity planning and recommending
improvements or upgrades to meet future growth and demand.
9. You should be collaborating with cross-functional to integrate network
systems with other IT infrastructure components, such as servers,
storage and applications.
