Poster.

If a task is quantifiable by word count, we charge $110 per 1000 words. If

a task is not quantifiable by word count, we estimate how many hours are
required to complete the task and we charge based on $5 per hour.

How much should we charge Tommy? Work out the Total Price. Show working.
Hint: Total Price = Price of writing the report + Price of making the poster. Report writing is quantifiable by
word count. Poster making is not quantifiable by word count.

Answer: $388

a. Price of writing the report = (3,300/1000) x 110 = 363

b. Let’s assume that it will take 5 hours to complete the poster.

Price of making the poster = 5 x 5 = 25

c. Total price = a + b = 363 + 25 = $388

8. We asked our writer to write a short essay on “The benefits of eating fats”

This is what the writer wrote:

With all the different dietary advice flying around these days, how can you even begin to
know what food choices to make? Take fat for example. For years it has been painted
as an evil monster and the root cause of high cholesterol, heart disease and obesity.
Fat gets a bad rap even though it is a nutrient that we need in our diet, just not too
much.

There are different types of fats, with some fats being healthier than others. To help
make sure you stay healthy, it is important to eat unsaturated fats in small amounts as
part of a balanced diet. When buying products check the labels and choose the varieties
that are lower in saturated and trans fats and higher in poly and monounsaturated fats.
A diet that is low in saturated fats and trans fats, but that also includes moderate
amounts of unsaturated fats will help you stay healthy.

When comparing the advantages and disadvantages of eating fat, consider your weight,
caloric intake and health goals and concerns. Eating the recommended amount of fat
from a variety of healthy sources will meet your body's need for the essential nutrient.
Consuming too much of the wrong type of fat can lead to weight gain or heart disease.
Learn all about dietary fats and how getting too much or too little affects our health.

I would give this essay a 3 out of 5. The introduction was catching and it really entices

9. Can you tell us more about yourself and your family? How many dependents
do you have?
Answer:
We are a family of four – me, my mother, my father, and my brother. I am the first
college graduate among us. As such, the responsibility now lies on my shoulder to
support the three of them. We’ve lived a financially challenged life and it would mean
the world to me if I were able to give my family a comfortable life.

My brother is about to finish senior high school and is about to enter college next
semester. My mother, on the other hand, is a seamstress. Unfortunately, she suffered a
permanent hand injury back in 2020 on her left hand which left her unable to work any
further. My father is a humble driver and hardly earns for our living expenses.

To put myself through college, I was under a scholarship wherein I had to maintain a
certain grade. Furthermore, I was also a working student at one of my universities’
libraries. Graduating was a means for me to start my dream towards a better life. I am
really hoping that I will be given a chance to be granted this side hustle. Being given the
chance to showcase my skills and talents would really mean the world to me and
hopefully I’ll be able to be hired for a long-term position.

10. Can you tell us more about your most recent job? How did the job end? What
was your salary?
Answer:
As a fresh graduate, my most recent job was being a library student assistant at the UP
School of Archaeology. My rate was $5 per hour. As soon as I have graduated, my
contract with the library ended.
11. Was there a time at a workplace where circumstances made you think about
quitting? What happened? Did you end up quitting?
Answer:
We worked in shifts at the library. My coworker often arrives late to her shift which made
me carry extra responsibilities. I also cannot leave if there was nobody to replace me
even if my shift were over. I brought this up to concerned personnel, however no
immediate action was taken. It took a toll on my academic performance as I arrived late
to some of my classes. I thought about quitting and applying to other student assistant
jobs at different departments in the university. However, the probability of those things
happening again is likely. And so, I have decided to act before I completely quit. I took a
proactive approach by scheduling a meeting with my coworker. During the meeting, I
laid out my concerns and how unfair and inefficient it was to put extra unpaid
responsibility on me. Apparently, my coworker had a class right before her shift and it
was also during lunch time. Having lunch and travelling from class to the library took
time which was why she was often late. At the end of the meeting, we decided that I
could only take on one hour of her shift because there was only an hour gap between
my work and class. Also, I would have to be paid for the hours I picked up from her shift.
Both parties were in agreement of this setup so things were resolved and I decided not
to quit. This shows that taking proactive measures to solve problems is a must. Truly,
actively solving problems is better than giving up and quitting.
