Final Problem Solving

The document describes several challenges the author faced in past film productions and how they planned to address those challenges in their current project. Some of the challenges included not properly planning the screenwriting process, feeling rushed during editing, issues with scheduling actors and rescheduling due to weather. For the current project, the author planned to conduct more research on screenwriting, storytelling techniques, directing non-professional actors, and leave more time for editing. They also planned for scheduling flexibility and backup plans like understudies to account for potential scheduling conflicts and unexpected weather issues. At the mid-point, the author found that leaving more time in their production schedule helped them to address challenges like needing extra time for editing due rescheduling filming days due

MID POINT REVIEW: As I included this into my research, I was able to

create a proper plan for the writing due to having an understand of the
different stages and sides (for example, philosophical shift, external
shirt, and the internal shift). I included these stages within the
writing, and I definitely found it easier to come up with the story side.
However, I found that when I finished the production, it only came out to
be five minutes and I had hoped it to be a bit longer. If I had to redo
the writing, I would try to add more into the film to give more
background. However, after my feedback from peers and my teachers, they
liked how short it was and that it was easy to follow with also having a
better emotional story.

I am worried that I In my production

MID POINT REVIEW: Throughout the project, I did my best into keeping up
with analysis work and making sure I wrote a proper analysis each time.
However, the stage I did face this issue was during the research stage
when I was talking to interviewees. When I was listening to the one story,
I realized that the topic was too emotionally draining for me, and I felt
for my mental health, that I had to take a step back. Because I did plan
for extra time in my production schedule, I found that I was able to
resolve the issue and carried on moving forward. For me, this issue
allowed me to realize how important this topic is to many people who has
experienced these feelings and I knew more about how I was going to take
on this project, having understood these feelings.
I will most probably During my research, I

MID POINT REVIEW: I researched this mostly using a book written by one of
the best acting coaches in the industry. Their tips were quite helpful
into understanding from a director’s point of view how to deal with non-
professional actors and use them to get the most out of the performance.
Their tips also allowed me to decide if the actor I envisioned was going
to be the perfect fit, and my actors were definitely perfect for the role.

MID POINT REVIEW: During my planning stage, that first week was really
cloudy so I was only able to film the sunset scenes the following week
which pushed my editing time for the rest of the film. I did plan more
time into the other two weeks to deal with this editing issue which did
help, and that I did have more time to look back on my work to get
feedback. This issue did not cause last minute editing which was great as
I found the appearance was much better, having more time to film, and
edit.

MID POINT REVIEW: Leading on from the last issue, it definitely caused a
similar issue to this. I had originally planned a party scene in the first
week that I had already planned actors for but it then had to move to the
day after which mean’t that I needed to use more understudies to fill the
roles as the extras in the scene. Luckily, I did talk to a few more people
in case something like this happened so therefore I had to just call them
as ask to be there at the time since I knew they would be available.

Also, Because the first week, it was cloudy, I pushed that filming to the
week after, I had to go back and forth, scheduling when my main actor was
available and crew, and when the weather was good to film in. This took
way longer to deal with as the weather was unexpected.
