C. Lesson Proper

Did you know class the basketball


was invented in December 1891 by Canadian
James Naismith. He Presented
the game when he was an instructor at the young
Men’s Christian Association Training School in
Springfield, Massachusetts. He made this sport
through the demand of his mentor, Dr. Luther H.
Gulick.

Class in playing Basketball it Composed of 15


players, but there are only 5 players each team
who are actually playing inside the court. All
in all they are 10 players inside the court.

Class what are the different skills needed in


playing basketball?
Ma’am Shooting, dribbling, passing,
Excellent! and rebounding.

Class Shooting is the act of throwing the ball with


an intention of getting it into the ring or basket to
earn points. This is an offensive skill that every
basketball player
should master to win a game.

Class Dribbling is a skill in basketball that permits


a player to move inside the court. When dribbling
the ball dribble on one side of the body, not in
front, when dribbling with one hand, use the other
hand to drive your guard away from the
ball, keep in mind that you should not include the
whole hand in dribbling so as not to lose the
control of the ball.

Class Passing is a skill that maximizes the


player’s involvement to set up a play to earn
successful throw on the basket and earn score of
the team.

There are 3 ways of passing the ball those are


Chess pass, Bounce pass and Overhead pass

Chest pass, a pass that involves passing the ball


from the chest level going to the teammate’s chest
level.

Bounce pass, the act of throwing the ball to the


receiver side bouncing it in the floor toward
him/her.

Overhead pass, a pass initiated from the forehead


going to a teammate.

techniques can someone from the class perform
here in front the different passing techniques?

Next one and the last one of skills needed in


playing basketball is Rebounding, is the capacity
to jump with power in possessing the ball as it
bounces from the rim after an unsuccessful shot
before touching the floor.
