Rationale:

Strategic Planning is fundamental in helping organizations, offices and agencies effectively manage their resources to meet the
needs of the people they serve. A clearly articulated vision helps the organizations, offices and agencies to set priorities and make
informed decisions. Strategic plans strengthen inter-office collaboration and aligned employee’s goals to the missions of the
organization.

It is on this premise that the MSWDO of Palompon sought intervention to have a Strategic Planning Workshop in order for the
office to come up with a plan that reflects the agency’s goal and objectives that is mainstreamed by the Local Government Unit
of Palompon’s Vision, Mission and Goal.

Objectives:

At the end of the three-days training, participants shall be able to:

1. Identify and understand external and internal realities that the office is presently facing.

2. Have a clearer understanding on individual functions and responsibilities grounded on the focus of sector programs.

3. Develop an achievable work plan of programs and services for an attainable realistic goal.

4. Develop an efficient social technologies and mechanisms for effective delivery of social welfare programs and services.

5. Develop a well-defined manual of operation of the office (MSWD).

Budgetary Requirement:

Food (Buffet)- Day 1 30 pax x P 250.00 x 3 meals x 1 day = P 22,500.00


(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 2 30 pax x P 150.00 x 3 meals x 1 day = P 13,500.00

Snacks 30 pax x P 60.00 (am snacks) x 2 days = P 3,600.00

Accommodation 2 Family Rooms @ P 3,700 = P 7,400.00

Concept of the Activity:

As part of the measures in improving operational mechanisms, the Local Social Welfare and Development of Palompon will
conduct a strategic planning workshop. This will be a 2 days’ workshop in consultation with the office staff handling different
sectoral programs. The activity is directed towards a systematized and organized office in the Local Government Unit with a
developed programs and services that aims to attain clearer and sustainable goals.
