Part I - Introduction
Work immersion or on-the-job training is one of the courses being offered by the K-12
curriculum. This course is as important as compared with other general subjects like
Mathematics, English, etc. On-the-job training provides hands-on experience in a real-
world job setting, allowing the learners to enhance their practical skills and knowledge
which are not possible to obtain in a classroom setting. In this paper, I'll discuss how
valuable OJT is for strengthening our skills, boosting our resumes, and preparing us for
future work.

Christ Yeshua Academy of Tarlac, Inc. gave us the opportunity to enhance our skills with
immersion programs or on-the-job training. This program permits students to have a
practical experience with different job opportunities that can be beneficial in the future.
For me, this is the main reason why the government approved this curriculum - to provide
the SHS students opportunities to work when they cannot continue to pursue their college
studies. CYATI immersed their students to different job

In addition, one of the most important advantages of OJT is that it helps students to gain a
deeper understanding of their chosen area. Working in a real-world setting exposes
students to the obstacles and difficulties of their chosen career, giving them a better
understanding of what it takes to accomplish in their industry. This internship can be
beneficial since it allows students to decide whether their chosen job is a good fit for
them and allows them to make any required adjustments before they begin working.

Another perk of OJT is that it allows students to expand their professional network.
Students are able to create important contacts and obtain employment after graduation by
working alongside professionals in their industry. Furthermore, OJT can serve as a
helpful reference for prospective employers because students can use their on-the-job
experiences to exhibit their talents and capabilities.

Finally, OJT can assist students improve their self-esteem and confidence. Students gain
a sense of satisfaction and joy in their work by effectively completing tasks and
contributing to a team. This is especially helpful for students who struggle in typical
classroom settings, as OJT allows them to exhibit their ability in a different environment.

Part III – Daily Experiences and Activities

DAY 1 - FEBRUARY 20, 2023

On the first day of work, we had an orientation session with our boss. We
introduced ourselves one by one and were asked about our strengths, weaknesses, and
how the company could benefit from our skills. Our boss explained everything about
what we should expect in the workplace, taught us various things, gave us lectures, and
we also had a little chitchat with our co-workers.

Day 2 – FEBRUARY 21, 2023

Day 3 – FEBRUARY 23, 2023
Day 4 – FEBRUARY 24, 2023

The day started with a huge amount of pressure on us. Our co-workers informed
us that there was a scheduled photoshoot, and we were expected to assist with it. Just
before the photoshoot began, a customer arrived to claim their picture frame. It was a
challenge to find the correct frame because there were numerous frames with only the
customers' names, the name of the school, and their course written on them. After finding
the correct frame, we then prepared the studio by plugging in all the necessary equipment
needed for the photoshoot.
