Computer Based Numerical Computational Tools (MATLAB / Octave)
Process Simulation Packages (ASPEN HYSIS / DWSIM / COCO / Pet and Gas
Software)
Computer Aided Drafting Tools (AUTOCAD / LIBRECAD / FREECAD)
Computer Programming Basics (Python / Java / C Sharp)
Projects / Assignment

Students will be exposed to open source/free packages in addition to proprietary packages


The Open source packages will be installed on systems in the computer room.
Students will be given “Hands-On” projects every other week, i.e. in weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12. Students shall form tutorial groups of
not more than ten per group. In Week 8 the students will be given group projects to be submitted in week 14.
