OVERVIEW
Through our courses and monthly membership, we teach the following
five- step path to becoming a successful interior designer.

In this guide, we share with you what you need to do at each

stage of your business journey.

STAGE 1: THE SOW
Sowing the seeds of a successful & profitable business

You have a dream about running your own

interior design business but you're not sure

where to begin.

You don't feel very confident, in fact the

whole idea of setting up your own business

throws up all sorts of fears.

You feel like an imposter and worry that

you'll be found out, for not being a good

designer.

You're not sure what sort of a business you

want to run; the details are a bit hazy.

WHEN YOU ARE IN THIS STAGE YOU SHOULD...

FOCUS ON... NOT BE FOCUSING ON...

Understanding why you want to be

STAGE 2: THE FLOW
Setting up processes so your business flows like a well-
oiled machine

You now have a clear vision of what you

want your business to be like, and you're

excited to get going, but you still don't really

know where to start.

You're not sure how to get set up, how to

register your business and what the legal

pitfalls are.

You are not completely sure about how to

manage all of your business processes, from

pricing, to customer on-boarding, to raising

purchase orders and managing the design

process.

WHEN YOU ARE IN THIS STAGE YOU SHOULD...

FOCUS ON... NOT BE FOCUSING ON...

STAGE 3: THE SHOW
When you run a business that's all about aesthetics,

it's vital to show your own brand in its best light.

You've done all of the ground work, and now

it's time for the fun bit!

You have some ideas about colours and styles

but you're not sure how this translates to your

brand visuals.

You feel daunted about creating your website

and you worry you don't have the tech skills.

You feel vulnerable about "putting yourself

out there" and you worry what people will

think of you.

WHEN YOU ARE IN THIS STAGE YOU SHOULD...

FOCUS ON... NOT BE FOCUSING ON...

STAGE 4: THE CROW
You need to crow about your business at every

opportunity to get that work flowing in

You now have everything in place, and all you

need now is customers!

You are not sure where you are going to get

customers from, and it all feels a bit daunting.

That imposter syndrome is rearing its ugly

head again and you are doubting whether

you are good enough.

You might also be worrying about "being

seen" and those fears of failing will make this

worse.

You are excited and terrified in equal measure!

WHEN YOU ARE IN THIS STAGE YOU SHOULD...

FOCUS ON... NOT BE FOCUSING ON...

STAGE 5: THE GROW
Grow your business to create steady income and a

pipeline of work waiting for you

You now have work coming in and you're

beginning to turn a profit.

You are feeling more confident in your abilities.

Your dream has become a reality!

However your workload is inconsistent, with

peaks and troughs , leaving you with a feast

and famine income.

You're finding being the CEO, Head of

Marketing, Head of Sales, Tea Maker and

Bottle Washer overwhelming but you're not

sure how you can outsource your work

without losing control of the quality.
