Release Notice
This is the January 2012 release (Revision A) of the GPS
Pathfinder Pro series receivers Release Notes. It applies to
version 2.04 of the GPS firmware.
Introduction
These release notes provide information about the GPS firmware
version 2.04 for the Trimble® GPS Pathfinder® Pro series receivers.
Please read these release notes carefully.
The GPS Pathfinder Pro series includes the ProXH™ and ProXT™
receivers. The GPS Pathfinder Pro series receivers are high-performance
GPS receivers. They have an integrated antenna and receiver, a user-
removable battery, and Bluetooth® wireless technology for connectivity
with field computers.
Trimble recommends that you upgrade all GPS Pathfinder Pro series
receivers that currently have GPS firmware version 2.03 to firmware
version 2.04.
There is no requirement for users with GPS Pathfinder Pro receivers
with firmware version 1.82 to upgrade to 2.04.
If you are not sure what firmware version is currently installed,
upgrading to version 2.04 will not damage your receiver.
When the two progress bars are at 100% the firmware upgrade is
complete.
4. Click Finish to close the firmware upgrade file.
Known Issues
This section provides information about known issues with the
firmware version 2.04 for the GPS Pathfinder ProXH and ProXT
receivers.
Battery
• It is possible to damage the connectors on the ProXH or ProXT
receiver’s battery pack by removing the battery while a cable is
connected to the serial port connector.
Trimble recommends that you detach the cable before removing
the receiver’s battery.
