Topic : To listen, read, tell and write stories of (folktale, legend or fable)
Time Allocation : 8 x 40 minutes (4 sessions)

OBJECTIVE:
Learners can read and comprehend the social function, generic structure and language features
of Narrative text especially stories of folktale, legend or fable in oral and written form in order
to get entertainment and moral value.

ACTIVITIES:
Opening
Teacher motivates learners by giving leading questions to go to the topic and state the
objective of the learning of Chapter 7.
Session 1-2
1. Through WhatsApp and Google classroom teacher shares the materials about Narrative
texts (in the form of Word Document , Power Point, or link)
2. Learners comprehend the concept of Narrative text and do some Assignments.
3. Learners report that they have finished with their assignments through WhatsApp.
4. Learners check their answers with the Answer Keys from GC, to check their
understanding about Narrative texts and to get score.
5. Teacher gives reflection about the result of the assignment through WhatsApp.
Session 3-4
6. Teacher and learners discuss the social function, generic structure and language
features of Narrative text through WA or GC.
7. Learners watch a teenager film to get the moral value from YouTube as the example.

8. Learners identify the characters, the conflicts/ problem and the resolution of the story.
9. Learners make video presentation about storytelling based on the rule given by teacher.
10. Learners submit the video to Google Classroom or upload to YouTube.
Closure
Teacher and learners make Confirmation, Conclusion, and Reflection.

ASSESSMENT:
1. Character building: To show as an interactive and open minded learner.
2. Knowledge: multiple choice test through Google forms.
3. Productive skill:
Speaking skill: Pronunciation, Intonation, language uses and Content (Orientation,
Conflicts, Resolution and moral value)
