Addiction To Instagram Script

Instagram addiction is created by triggering dopamine releases in the brain through frequent novelty and images on the platform. Dopamine is the chemical that drives motivation and rewards, and Instagram is designed to elicit peaks and crashes through endless scrolling. This keeps users engaged but leaves them seeking more stimulation once off the app. Over time, heavy Instagram use can damage attention spans and negatively impact mood, eyesight, and social skills as people substitute real world fulfillment for the app's artificial dopamine hits.

Addiction to Instagram Script

How is our addiction to Instagram created?

- Nowadays we cannot go an hour without looking at our phones to either

message someone or just scroll to Instagram which is in the basis of the
addiction.

-Why are we addicted?

- Addiction is based on a chemical called in our brain: dopamine released from

the reward system. Dopamine is the molecule that runs our motivation and is
what pushes us closer to our goals and the more we make our brain release it
better we feel. Thus, Instagram is one of the popular apps that spoils our
dopamine release and creates constant dopamine peaks and crashes.
- The more frequent and novel info and images we perceive higher the
dopamine simply because our attention span is 8-8.25sec which is at the core
of Instagram addiction, to keep scrolling and seeing new things and the more
you scroll through reels or posts, the more addicted you become to it for its
effects on a person’s mood. By giving a false feeling of fulfilment while in
reality it just triggers your dopamine receptors and the moment you close
the app the feeling is gone then you feel less stimulated to do any sort of
activity that could replace the feeling and this is how millions of people are
stuck in this loop of addiction. Therefore, the more often you use it, it will
not only damage and worsen your attention, but will affect your eyesight,
overall mood, and social skills. Due to seeking happiness and satisfaction from
an app instead of reducing the time spent on the app with something more
productive and enjoyable.
