1.0 LEARNING OUTCOMES

In the end of the experiment, student should be able to: -

1. understand text, dimension and layer command in AutoCAD


2. draw orthographic drawing using AutoCAD

3.0 SYNOPSIS AND THEORY

Refer to lecture notes.

4.0 PROCEDURES

1. Read the instruction carefully.


2. Draw the orthographic drawing for Drawing 1 and 2 by using AutoCAD.
3. Based on your numbering in SMP attendance, change the dimension in Drawing 1
and 2 according to Table 1 and 2 given.
4. ‘X’ is a front view.
5. All holes in the drawings are through hole or otherwise stated.
6. Organize your drawing using layer.
7. Set your dimension style (setting for dimension/text may be difference base on
your drawing size).
8. Save your drawing as L3_ firstname_Nomatrix.
9. Set your DRAWING TITLE (in title block) to LAB3 – ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWING.
10. Fit all your drawings in the title block created. You may have more than 1 page if the
space is insufficient.
11. Disable any temporary line before plotting/convert to PDF.
12. Upload your drawing (.dwg and .pdf format) in ULEARN
DRAWING 1
