 Call on volunteer student/s to name the different techniques of Extended
Definition
5. Motivation
 Task 1: DEFINE ME!
Ask the learners to share ideas by giving their own definition about the
picture of Silver spoon.

B. Preliminary Activity
 Task 2: WHAT I KNOW?
Let the learners identify which among the statements below are true about
grammar. Instruct them to answer true signal if the statement is a fact or a
false if it is a fallacy.

__1. It is needed to provide a definition when introducing an unfamiliar term.


__2. The unfamiliar word in a sentence needs to be defined in a sentence that
follows in a paragraph.

I. Directions: Read the texts below. Take note of the thought of the
short paragraph. Then, using your own dictionary, extend the
meaning of the words underlined.

One effect of the COVID 19 pandemic is the concern on the delivery


Quality education. The Department of Education provides different

as to the delivery of teaching the students. Among others, one given modality
is the blended learning.
