“Very good.” (Students raise their hand.)
“Okay, give me 3 different types of
measuring tools.” “T-square, Triangles and Rulers.
“Alright, Yalina.”
“Very good! That you already have an
idea about our discussion for today.

2. Review on the Previous Lesson

“Alright, Kisa.” “We have 8 types of measuring tool.”
“Very good, and what are those, Sarah? “The types of measuring tools are T-square,
Triangles, Ruler, Triangular Scale,
Protractor, Tape or tape ruler, Compass and
“Excellent! again the different types of Dividers.”
measuring tools are:

 Triangles  Triangles
 Ruler  Ruler
 Triangular Scale  Triangular Scale
 Protractor  Protractor
 Tape or tape ruler  Tape or tape ruler
 Compass and Dividers.  Compass and Dividers.

“Let’s start with T-square. What is T-square?” (Students raise their hand.)
“Alright, Jam.” “T-square is a measuring tool.”
“Yes! It is a measuring tool, what else?”
“Alright, Nisa.” (Students raise their hand.)

“Okay, Tine” “45° and 30°x60°.”
“And what are those?”
“Very good.”

2. Triangles- Triangles are (Students attentively listen.)

used for drawing vertical and

length. It is needed for measuring and (Students raise their hand.)
distances. “Triangular scale sir.”
(Students raise their hand.)
“Understand?”
“What’s next? “Is to reproduce the dimension in full size
“Okay, Rolgie.” or to reduce or enlarge them on a drawing.”
“Okay, next is triangular scale. What is
Triangular scale?” (Students attentively listen.)
“Okay, Joy”
“Very good.”

4. Triangular Scale- is used in

general drawing. Its main
purpose is to reproduce the “Yes, sir.”
dimension in full size or to reduce or (Students raise their hand.)
enlarge them on a drawing. “Protractor sir.”
(Students raise their hand.)
“Understand?”
“What’s next? “Is used for setting angels.”

widths and lengths up to 10 meters. It (Students raise their hand.)
provides an easy means for accurately “Compass sir.”
measuring curved surfaces. (Students raise their hand.)
“Is used to draw circles.”
“Understand?”
“What’s next?
“Okay, Bea.” (Students attentively listen.)
“Okay, next is compass. What is
compass?” “Okay, Maria”
“Very good.” “Yes, sir.”

of many symbols. “Is used for dividing distance.”

“Understand?”
“What’s next?
“Okay, Jam.”
“Okay, next is divider. What is divider?” (Students attentively listen.)
“Okay, Yalina”
“Very good.”

8. Divider- is similar to the “Yes, sir.”

compass in construction. As “No, sir.”
the name implies, divider is
used for dividing distances into a number
of equal parts by the trial-and-error
method.
“Understand?”
“Do you have a question, clarification?”
“So, it means that you understand our

discussion today.”

“Next, how important the measuring tools in (Students raise their hands.)
making a drawing?”
“Alright, Sarah.” “Measuring tools are essential for
examining a finished product or semi-
