with his improvements in tenses; #### they are now working much harder in this area and
this will reap rewards in the end of unit tests. His focus in class is improving, but this must
remain a key area for him next year: start tasks within thirty seconds and remain focused
until the task is completed to the highest possible standard! He also needs to read the
question carefully, try to write six relevant key terms to help structure the longer questions
and use the online revision materials to ensure he makes maximum progress.
Most of the time, #### is a hard-working student who tries to do his best in all activities.
However, sometimes he can lose focus in class and this can lead to misunderstanding and
underachievement. In recent lessons, I have seen an increased lack of focus in both
behaviour for learning and home learning tasks. #### must make efforts to improve in these
areas. To improve his language skills, he needs to plan revision and aim to start immediately
so that stress during assessments can be minimised. Try to avoid the situation where you
walk into a test knowing that you are not well prepared!

this year, especially in relation to his problem solving skills. Sometimes, his work on longer
form questions can become muddled and he needs to ensure that he plans his answer first

##### has made a lot of progress since joining the group last summer. His grades are slowly
starting to improve and so is his confidence. ##### needs to realise that he is an able linguist
and can achieve a very good grade in the end of year assessments. He now needs to have
confidence in his abilities and give 110%. ##### often needs to be pushed in class to
complete tasks and he needs to find his own motivation to succeed. He should use online
revision materials and textbooks to answer assessment questions. While many module test
scores have been pleasing, some have identified gaps in ##### knowledge. To improve, he
should: start use active revision methods that practise the recall of information, e.g. writing
down key terms from memory, creating mind maps from memory, and creating quizzes and
crosswords to use at a later date.
