Abstract
This descriptive-correlational design study aimed to
determine the factors that affect cutting classes in the academic
performance of grade 11 TVL Senior High school learners. The
respondents of this study were 40 randomly selected Senior high
school students of dahile provincial Community High School,
31 respondents are coming male, and 9 respondents are coming
female. These instruments were used in the questionnaire that
was distributed to the respondents to determine the effects and
gathered by the researchers for the analysis and interpretation of
data. The results revealed that factors that affect cutting classes
in the academic performance of the learners were positive
effects since the students listening to the teacher's discussion
gained knowledge from the teacher and attend classes.
Introduction
The research entitled “Factors Affects of Cutting at Classes in
academic performance of Grade 11 TVL Students of daily
provincial community high school” because they wanted to
discern and take deep explorations concerning the behaviour of
different individuals, especially the junior and senior students
who manage cutting classes and how much dead affect their
academic performance. The students need to understand that
attending class in high school is very important for the good
education the students need for one future. The student's time in
high school not only affects herself in the future but also their
family but most importantly they know what can be the impact
of cutting classes in their subjects.
Methodology:
Research Method: Descriptive Method
Respondents:
Grade 11 students who cutting classes schooling at
Dahile Provincial Community High School, a public high school
in the Barangay, Dahile Mabinay Negros, Oriental
Procedure:
1. The researcher coordinates with the administration office to
educate them on the procedure with the appropriate documents
needed.2. The researchers then collect data needed with
permission from the subject teacher and were collected
accordingly in a comfortable manner.3. The data were collected
using a questionnaire provided by the researchers.4. The
questionnaires were filled out in the classrooms with instructions
needed with the approximate time of 20-30 minutes to finished.
Further instructions were given by the theresearchers.5. The
questionnaires are then collected by the researchers to be tallied
to get the result needed.
Results and Discussion
CONCLUSION
A. Students
The students may be knowledgeable enough in coping with and
managing the possible reasons why they are cutting classes. In
addition, this study is recommended, for them to be well aware
of their academic performances and for them to concentrate on
their studies.
B. Parents and Guardian
To the parents and guardians, who are the most involved and
salient element in this case, so that they may exert more effort
on knowing the different factors that encourage their child to do
such practice. Good communication skills are needed for both
parties to address the problems that cutting classes might bring.
C. School’s
Administration
The study is also recommended to the school’s administration,
so that
They would be well aware of such practice that is occurring
within the institution and constitute effective solution regarding
the said problem.
