Gaas - Activity 6

1. The document introduces the Proteus design software and how it can be used to design, simulate, and test electrical circuits on a computer. 2. Key steps in using Proteus include creating a new project, adding electrical components to a schematic diagram, connecting the components, and simulating the circuit. 3. Several example circuits are presented, including calculating and measuring the voltage and current values. Tables show the calculated versus measured readings from the circuit simulations.

Activity 6

Circuit Design on Proteus

I. Introduction
The latest trend in Electronic design is by using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Software. In this
activity Proteus design software is being introduced. It covers making a new project, add components,
add voltmeter, ammeter and then simulate it to check for desired results.

II. Objectives

At the end of the activity, the student can:

1 Properly install Proteus Software

2 Familiarized and understand the process of designing in Proteus.
3 Construct the schematic of circuit on editor
4 Simulate the circuit

III. Materials/Equipment Needed:

List the materials needed

IV. Procedure:

Write the step by step procedure on how you conduct your activity

1. RUN PROTEUS

2. CREATE NEW PROJECT (JUST CLICK NEXT UNTIL YOU ARE ON THE SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM)
3. Use “P” to use desired electrical components.

4. Place the parts, click on the desired parts, then click to the diagram.
5. Connect the parts (click on the ends of the figure)

6. Click play icon to run the simulation.

V. Concept/s Explanation:

Provide concepts for the activity conducted. Include here the simulated circuit project 1 to project 4 in
printscreen format.
Provide ideas for the activity. Include the simulated circuits from Project 1 through Project 4 in this
section.

Proteus is a circuit design program created by Labcenter Electronics that allows you to draw, design,
and simulate circuits.
Using your personal computer, create electronic circuits. It is used to create schematic diagrams of
electrical circuits that may subsequently be translated into printed circuit boards for manufacture
On the other hand, the notions that we used when doing the manual computations of the
The circuits are as follows:
• Ohm's Law asserts that the intensity of a direct current is directly proportional to its potential.
differential (voltage) and inversely proportional to the circuit resistance
• Kirchhoff's voltage law indicates that the total of voltages around a loop is equal.
• Kirchhoff’s voltage law – states that the sum of voltages around a loop is equal to zero.
• Kirchhoff’s current law – states that the sum of the currents entering a junction is the same as
the sum of the currents leaving the junction.

Conclusion/Comments:
The Proteus Design Set is a closed-source software tool suite primarily used for electrical design
automation. We can use Proteus to conceive, construct, and simulate electrical circuit designs. Proteus is a
possible name. It is advantageous since it takes less time to build a circuit and has a minimal possibility of
error due to its clever design. Tracking inside the circuit and can be of great use in checking the components
without physically inspecting the components to limit the possibility of circuit overload We were successful
in creating the schematic circuit design. thanks to its simple user interface, without trouble the circuit might
then be operated and simulated.
