    Skala : Serangkaian nada yang memiliki interval (jarak) tertentu antara satu nada dengan nada
    lainnya ,yang menentukan karakteristik jenis music mode itu sendiri.

    HISTORY : Skala ditemukan di jaman yunani kuno, dan nama skalany diambil dari nama - nama suku - suku

    yang paling berpengaruh saat itu yaitu : dorian, lydian dll. Pada abat pertengahan, musisi – musisi

    gereja kristen merubah pola tersebut dan merubah nama skala menjadi mode.

    Note : Skala menetukan Harmoni, sedangkan Mode menentukan (mengekspresikan) suatu variasi melodi.

    Tempo secara garis besar terbagi atas :

    1. Slow ( Lambat )
    2. Medium/Moderato ( Sedang )
    3. Fast ( Cepat )

    Moderato slow : 74 - 96
    Moerato Fast : 96 – 120
    Fast : 120 – 145

    b. Lento : Lambat menerik-narik
    c. Largo : Lambat latar
    d. Grave : Gerakan Lambat dengan khidmad

    2. Medium/Moderato : a. Moderato : Kecepatan sedang


    b. Adante : Agak Lambat dari moderato
    c. Adantino : Lebih cepat dari adante

    3. Fast : a. Allergo : Cepat ringan


    b. Allegretto : Agak Cepat
    c. Presto ; Cepat
