Sample Reply To Delay Reminder

The letter responds to a reminder about work delays by reiterating factual details to provide a more complete picture. It states that the reported progress percentages do not reflect the current site status due to a revised work plan. While work is proceeding regularly with adequate resources including night shifts, an extension of time and payment for a variation order are requested to help with cash flow as delays were due to demolition works under the variation order.

Subject : “Work Delay - Reminder No.1” in letter ref PTSB/WSSB/Melati/080 dated 5th April
2023 from Perunding Tinur (S) Sdn Bhd

Reference is made to the above-mentioned subject in relation to the SOR’s

letter.

2. While we are grateful for the SOR in his reminder, please allow us to
reiterate the factual matrix such that the SO can possess a more complete and
accurate picture:
(i) the progress % , both for the planned and actual, are not reflective
of what is on Site now with the advent of the rev WP as submitted
via our letter ref….. dated…….;
(ii) The planned progress as at (date)….. is …..% while the actual is ….%.
This had also been reported during Site Meeting held on 11 th April,

and diligently with adequate/increased resources and including night
work;
(iii) The rev WP was prepared/submitted to reflect the Works which
were affected by delays due to a Variation Order for demolition
works and our application for EOT had been submitted via letters ref

dated 6th March 2023. We seek your urgent approval for the said
EOT and preparation of the PHK to pay the said VO (which had been
completed and details submitted. Payment shall help us so much in
cash flow);
We look forward to your early response. Thank you.
