    GUIDANCE TO FILL OUT THE CHINESE VISA ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

    Please visit : www.visaforchina.org


    Choose Indonesian’s flag then select JAKARTA

    Please click “visa” on “Quick Access”


    In the “China Visa Applicant” column, please select “New Application Form”

    Then scroll down and select “AGREE”


    The selection of the city for submitting the application must be in accordance with the place that you
    choose.

    If you are going to submit your application in Jakarta, please select “Jakarta”

    Then please tick “Start a new application form”

    Please click “start a new application form”

    There are 10 sections to be filled in the online application form. Make sure you already prepare all the
    documents needed such as: Photo, Passport, Sponsor Letter, Itinerary, etc.
    1.1A: Fill in with your surname based on the passport
    If you only have one name based on your passport, please input your name in Part 1.1C (Given name)
    and please “tick not applicable” on family name(s).
    If your name consist of more than two words, please input only the surname in Part 1.1A, and the rest
    fill in 1.1C (please see the example below).
    1.1D If your former nationality is China, please fill in your Chinese name on this part with Chinese
    character (汉字)

    Upload photo with your recently (last 6 months) photo.


    The background must be white and for photo backgrounds there should be clear and no shadows.
    Please do not wear white colour shirt, or any accessories (Regarding China visa photo requirement,
    please visit our website).
    A note will appear below your photo if the photo is not qualified.
    Please fill in the following data based on the truth
    Applicant who was born in China or ever held Chinese nationality, and for the first applying the Chinese
    visa should fill his/her own Chinese name. Please follow the instruction below:

    - Please tick “yes” on part 1.6B for the question “have you ever held any other nationality(ies)?”
    - On part 1.6H please choose “China”
    - Please tick “yes” on this part “Is this your first time applying for Chinese visa?”
    - Please fill in your Chinese Name in Chinese character
    - Then please fill in the following questions completely

    NOTE: IF YOU DIDN’T REMEMBER THE FORMER CHINESE ID NUMBER AND THE NUMBER OF YOUR LAST
    CHINESE PASSPORT YOU MAY CLICK NOT AVAILABLE AND THEN SPECIFY THE REASON
    1.7A Please tick Ordinary if you apply with the ordinary passport
    1.7B Please fill in your passport number1.7C: Fill in based on your nationality
    1.7D Fill in the issuing place place based on your passport
    1.7E: Fill in with “immigration of (the issuing place of your passport)”
    1.7F and 1.7G Please fill in the issuing date and expiration date based on your passport

    If section 1 has been completed, please proceed to section 2


    2.1A: Choose the Types of visa based on your real purpose
    2.2A: Validity of visa depends on the entries that you choose.
    Single entry: 3 months Double entry: 6 months Multiple entries: 6 months / 12 months
    2.2B: Maximum duration of longest stay is depending according to your needs
    2.2C: Choose the intended number of entries to China

    2.3 You may apply for Normal service or Express service.

    Normal service is 4 working days.

    Express service is 3 working days, if you take express it will be charged more for the service fee.
    3.1 Please fill in current occupation
    3.2: Please fill correctly your total income in a year
    3.3: Please fill your work experience since you were graduated and the latest working experience. If you
    have any information related to work history that you want to explain, please fill in Part 8.11
    3.3A: Please leave this part (date to-(yyyy),(mm),(dd)) blank if you are still working until present.
    3.3E: Please fill with your supervisor’s mobile phone number

    You may add your working experience if more than one. Please tick “add work experience.”
    4.2: Please tick “Not Applicable” if your last education is under high school and make a statement in
    Part 8.11
    4.2: List in reverse chronological order based on your latest education.
    Doctoral/Phd’s graduate: PHD or other equivalent study
    Master’s graduate: Graduate or other equivalent study
    Bachelor/diploma’s graduate: Undergraduate equivalent study
    High-school’s graduate: Highschool or other equivalent study

    Please tick “add education experience.” Then add your high school information
    After you tick “add education experience” the system will be automatically appearing this column

    5.4: Fill in with your own email address


    No screenshot for 5.5A B C D because if we choose single on section 1.5A marital status this section
    will be automatically not appear

    5.5A, 5.5B, 5.5C, 5.5D on part occupation: please do not choose “other”

    5.5B and 5.5C: if father and mother have passed away, please tick “not applicable” and specify at the
    box with “deceased” or “passed away”
    Please tick “not applicable” on this part if still single and didn’t have child

    If you have any immediate relatives in China please tick “yes” and the fill in the data information (not
    including parents)
    6.1A Please fill in the estimation arrival date on this part, if you are applying for business visa or any
    kind type of visa that attach the invitation letter, you may fill in the arrival date based on your
    invitation letter

    6.1B Please fill in your Number of arrival flight in this part, if you still didn’t have the air ticket, you
    may fill in “To be confirmed” in this part

    6.1C Please fill in the of arrival based on your destination

    6.1J , 6.1K , 6.1M Please fill in this part based on your destination in China

    6.1L please fill in your estimation arrival date to China

    6.1N Please fill in your estimation departure from China

    If you are going to travel to several cities in China, then please click “add destination” then add the
    cities you visit according to the details of your itinerary.
    6.1E Please fill in your estimation departure from China

    6.1F Please fill in your Number of departure flight in this part, if you still didn’t have the air ticket, you
    may fill in “To be confirmed” in this part

    6.1G Please fill in the of arrival based on your destination

    Please fill in this section if you are applying for business visa or any kind type of visa that have
    attached invitation letter, please fill in this part based on your invitation letter. (For student visa also
    need to fill in your university information in this part)
    6.3: Please fill with only Indonesian’s contact detailed information as your visa emergency contact.
    6.3E: must be filled with Indonesian mobile phone number

    6.4 Please fill in this part based on who will pay for this travel, if it is self-financed, then please choose
    self, if it is funded by a company or organization, then choose the organization.

    6.5 Please fill in this part based on who will be as your domestic or foreign sponsor, if it is self-
    financed, then please choose individual, if it is funded by a company or organization, then choose the
    organization.
    6.6 If you will be go to China together with other people, then you can add the information data in
    this section.

    6.6E: If you do not share the same passport with the other person, please tick “No”

    If section 6 has been completed, then please proceed to section 7


    7.1 Please fill in this part completely if you have travel to China in the past 3 years

    If in 3 years you have been to China more than once, Please tick “add travel experience to China”

    If you have previously been issued a Chinese visa, then please fill in the data in this column according
    to the actual data.
    7.2F , 7.2G , 7.2H Please fill this part based on the truth condition

    7.3 Please tick YES and fill this part if you still have any valid visa of the other countries.

    7.4 Please tick YES, if in the last five years you have traveled to any country other than China.

    Then select “download forms” to get your online application form (.pdf file)
