1. One way ANOVA
AIM: - To analyze the difference in Gender to separate different age groups for the given
data using SPSS Software

Procedure:-
Step 1:- Open one way ANOVA data .save
Step 2:- Go to analyze  Compare means One way ANOVA
Step 3:- Transfer dependent variable to dependent list box and independent variable to factor
box
Step 4:- Click pothookclick on take  continue
Step 5:- Click options selective descriptive statistics continue
Step 6:- Click ok

a. Uses Harmonic Mean Sample Size = 6.693.
b. The group sizes are unequal. The harmonic mean of the group sizes is used. Type I error levels are not guaranteed.
Interpretation:-
From ANOVA table it is evidence that the significant value is 0.312 which is greater than 0.05
hence there is no significant difference among all groups
Hence Null Hypothesis is h0 is rejected the alternative hypothesis is H1 is Accepted
From Descriptive table significant value that gender is 0.037 which is less than 0.05 ,Hence there
is a significant different in gender to Age group , Hence the null hypothesis H0 is rejected and
alternative hypothesis H1 is accepted

2.Histogram
AIM :- To analyze the difference in Gender to separate different age groups for the given data using
SPSS Software

Procedure:-
Step 1:- Open IBM SPSS Statistics 2.0
Step 2:- Go to file  open  data
Step 3:- Select Age .Sav data file  open
Step 4:- Click analyze Select Descriptive Statistics  Select frequency
Step 5:- Click on Age and transfer to the variable box
Step 6:- Click on charts  select Histogram

Step 7:- Select show normal curve on Histogramcontinue

Step 8:- Click ok

Missing System 3 1.3

Total 230 100.0

Interpretation:-
From the output the histogram shows that the age group lies between 14.8 to 1

3. Simple Linear Regression

AIM :- To predict the impact of Gender on age group

Procedure:-
Step 1:- Open Simple Linear Regression data.sav
Step 2:- Click analyze Select Regression Linear
Step 3:- Transfer gender to dependent variable box and age to independent variable box
Step 4:- Click on Statistics  tick estimate and model fit  click continue

a. Dependent Variable: Gender

Interpretation:-
From the coefficient table the standardized coefficient Beta value is 0.000 ,Hence Significant value
is 0.000 which is less than 0.05 ,hence there is a significant and strong correlation between gender
and age
From ANOVA table it us found that significant value is 0.998 which is grater than 0.05 .From the
model summery table R-Square value is found to be 0.000 which means the independent variable is
explaining 0% of the variants in dependent variable ,hence the null hypothesis H0 is rejected and
alternative hypothesis H1 is accepted.
