Job Interview Questions

Few people enjoy undergoing interviews, with the most fear reserved for classic questions
such as “What are your weaknesses or your greatest achievement?”. While you should
prepare yourself for questions like these, the good news is that they are becoming rarer.

Experts say questions are increasingly focused on your experience – and whether you will ‘fit’
in with the organization’s culture. So it is essential to do you homework about the company:
its role, future direction, and working environment. Here are some tips:
 Maintain eye contact
 Make positive answers from negative questions
 Be forthcoming with information

Also, here are some other questions that you may be asked in an interview:
1. Give us a little background information about yourself.
2. Why do you want to work with us?
3. What are your interests outside school and work?
4. What aspects of your education have prepared you for this position?
5. What is your greatest strength?
6. What is your main weakness?
7. Tell me about a time when you persisted in something despite facing difficulties?
8. If you had 5 things to do in work and realized you couldn’t get them all done in time, what
would you do?
9. What subjects did you dislike in school and why?
10. What does success mean to you?
11. What accomplishment are you most proud of and why?
12. What qualities do you admire most in other people?
13. Tell us about a time when you took a position of responsibility.
14. What attributes do you have that will contribute most to your success in life?
15. If you get the job, what will be your first 3 priorities when you start?
16. What is your ideal job?
17. What were the biggest pressures you faced in your school years?
18. What is the most important lesson you learned while you were in school?
19. What would you like to be doing in 5 years’ time?
20. Do you prefer working alone or as part of a team? Why?
21. What position are you applying for in my company?
