TIME ALLOTTED: 3 HRS MAX. MARKS:80

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. This question paper contains two parts A and B.
2. Both Part A and Part B have internal choices.

Part – A:
1. It consists two sections- I and II.
2. Section I has 16 questions of 1 mark each. Internal choice is
provided in 5 questions.
3. Section II has 4 questions on case study. Each case study has
5 case-based sub-parts. An examinee is to attempt any 4 out of 5
sub-parts.
Part – B:
1. Question No 21 to 26 are Very short answer Type questions of 2
mark each,
2. Question No 27 to 33 are Short Answer Type questions of 3 marks
each
3. Question No 34 to 36 are Long Answer Type questions of 5 marks
each.
4. Internal choice is provided in 2 questions of 2 marks, 2 questions
of 3 marks and 1 question of 5 marks.

7. If an angle of a parallelogram is two-third of its adjacent angle, then
find the smallest angle of the parallelogram.

A diagonal of a rectangle is inclined to one side of the rectangle at

17. CASE STUDY BASED 1

Street Plan
A city has two main roads which cross each other at the centre of the
city. These two roads are along the North-South direction and
East-West direction. All the other streets of the city run parallel to
these roads and are 200 m apart. There are 5 streets in each direction.
(Using 1cm = 200 m). Represent the roads/streets by single lines.

There are many cross- streets in your model. A particular cross-street


is made by two streets, one running in the North – South direction
and another in the East – West direction. Each cross street is referred
to in the following manner: If the 2nd street running in the North –
South direction and 5th in the East – West direction meet at some
crossing, then we will call this cross-street (2, 5).
Using this convention, find:

(i) how many cross – streets can be referred to as (4, 3).

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Covid-19 has appended working life ,changing how and where people
do their jobs. Now the challenge lies in how to adapt to changing
dynamics in workplaces. Keeping social distancing in mind a
company Cushman and Wakefield has decided to change the position
of desk in each department so that people won't sit so close together.
Initially two friends Rajiv and Amit sits together at B. Now their desks
are at position A and C respectively such that A, B and C form a
triangle. BD is a bisector of ∠ABC meets AC at right angle on
which planters are kept to make their workplace beautiful . Various
distances are expressed in terms of x and y as shown in the
following figure

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has announced to help the Indo-Tibetan


Border Police Force (ITBP) soldiers in improving their health by
organising a seven-day-long yoga camp.He further said that with
better health, the soldiers will fulfill their duties more efficiently even
in unfavorable conditions.
According to Baba Ramdev Ji
"It is very challenging, physically as well as mentally, when a person
lives away from family in unfavorable circumstances. And to deal
with all this, Yoga helps. Sometimes even soldiers feel isolated. So,
Yoga helps in overcoming that feeling,"
Even tents are arranged to accomodate the soldiers for yoga classes.
A conical tent is to accommodate 11 soldiers . Each soldier must
have four square metres of the space on the ground and 20 cubic
metres of air to breathe.

DOORDARSHAN

30 . Two coins are tossed simultaneously for 360 times. The number of
times ‘2 Tails’ appeared was three times ‘No Tail’ appeared and number of
times ‘1 tail’ appeared is double the number of times ‘No Tail’ appeared.
Find the probability of getting ‘Two tails’.

31. Draw the graphs of the following equations on the same graph sheet :
x = 4, x = 2, y = 1 and y – 3 = 0
Also find area enclosed by these lines.

35. Prove that (a+b+c)​3​-a​3​-b​3​-c​3​ = 3(a+b)(b+c)(c+a)

36.The external length, breadth and height of a closed rectangular wooden


box are 18 cm ,10 cm and 6cm respectively and thickness of wood is 0.5
cm. When the box is empty , it weighs 15 kg and when filled with sand it
weighs 100 kg. Find the weight of one cubic centimetre of the wood and
sand.
OR
Water is flowing at the rate of 7 m/s through a circular pipe whose internal
diameter is 2 cm into a cylindrical tank , the radius of whose base is 40 cm .
Determine the increase in the water level in ½ hour.
