The Power of Music (Draft)

A short real-life story titled “The Miracle of a Brother’s Song.” The story was about a 3-year-old
boy who brought back his sister’s life by singing to her in her beside.
“For six days Joshua marched his troops around the city, blowing rams' horns. On the seventh
day, the tumult of their shouting and the rams' horns caused the wall to collapse.”

music is a great tool. It provides a total brain workout. Research has shown that listening to
music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as improve sleep quality, mood,
mental alertness, and memory.” -An otolaryngologist from John Hopkins Medicine
“Research has found that learning music facilitates learning other subjects and enhances skills
that children inevitably use in other areas.”
 “Recent studies have clearly indicated that musical training physically develops the part of the
left side of the brain known to be involved with processing language and can actually wire the
brain’s circuits in specific ways. Linking familiar songs to new information can also help imprint
information on young minds.”
“Surprisingly, the children who were given music lessons over the school year tested on average
three IQ points higher than the other groups. The drama group didn’t have the same increase in
IQ but did experience increased social behavior benefits not seen in the music-only group.”

with those abilities, according to the Dana Foundation, a private philanthropic organization that

Plato said that “music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to
the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything”.
