1. What would life be without these emerging technologies? Give examples and explain.
Without these emerging technologies our life would be very different, it would be more difficult
but not worst.
For example:
a. Most of us are relying on emerging technologies such as Smartphones and tablets as our sole
means of communication, without these technologies getting in touch with friends and people who are
significant to our life would not be easy.
b. People would turn to reading books because it would be one of the only sources of
knowledge.
c. We would have to make an appointment in advance with no possibility of canceling it on short
notice.
d. We would not be overwhelmed by the flow of information from television or the Internet; we
would get it only from newspapers.
2. Examine the role of technologies in your own life: to what extent you are dependent on them,
can you give up using them?
The advent of technology has transformed human lives by increasing their quality of living; it has
brought us together and closer to each other. It brings us together through instant communication.
Technology influences most aspects of my life. On one hand, technology enriches my life but on
the other hand, in pursuit of ease, I have become over-reliant on technology so much so that I cannot
even imagine living without it.
I can give up using these emerging technologies but I cannot imagine myself living without
technology. I cannot imagine how awful life would be without any of these technological advances; the
mere thought of spending an entire day without a mobile phone is more than enough to make me feel
not in touch with my teacher, classmates, students, friend, families and other people who are significant
to my life.
My life would be very different without it, however, it would be advantageous to me because
life would become simple, and there would be no worries of having my account hacked or having the
worry of e-mails. On the contrary, my world would become boring because getting in touch with friends
would become difficult. Really, life would just be different, not good, but not exactly bad. It would just
be different.

5. How do you think agriculture 4.0 will impact the current status of agriculture in our country, the
Philippines?
The report further states that farms and agricultural operations will have to be run very
differently, primarily due to advancements in technology such as sensors, devices, machines, and
information technology. Future agriculture will use sophisticated technologies such as robots,
temperature and moisture sensors, aerial images, and GPS technology. These advanced devices and
precision agriculture and robotic systems will allow farms to be more profitable, efficient, safe, and
environmentally friendly.
Agriculture 4.0 will no longer depend on applying water, fertilizers, and pesticides uniformly
across entire fields. Instead, farmers will use the minimum quantities required and target very specific
areas.
