When the leading educational institutes organize such events with the noble objective of
gathering and disseminating knowledge and information on various interlinked domains,
it creates a perfect platform to brainstorm ideas, thrash-out differences, and build
congenial networking for the professionals. Besides, it also encourages scholars to
develop research with diversified knowledge and experience to achieve global
competency for quality decision-making in their workplace and beyond.

I wish to see the conference deliberating on significant issues of the present era at both

Forward

It is with great pride and honour that we are organizing the International Conference on
Multidisciplinary Research in Engineering, Management & Medical Sciences
(ICMREMMS-2022) in association with IEI Bareilly Local Center & Dr. A. P. J. Abdul
Kalam Technical University, Lucknow on March 25 & 26, 2022 and publishing the
conference proceedings on this occasion. The theme of the conference is very topical. It
is rightly said that a good conference is always more than just an exchange of papers and
ideas. It is the experience of a common belief nicely expressed in a quote by Father of
Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi: "In a gentle way, you can shake the world." The
quote sounds over-optimistic but in fact, many changes in history started by small groups
of committed people who took an initiative for the common cause. The Rajshree is for
sure one of those groups committed to building a better world for all of us. It facilitate the
students with a healthy learning atmosphere to achieve both academic & professional
excellence and contributes to the improvement of the society through better knowledge,
health, living conditions, social equity, etc. It is indeed a worthy endeavor on part of
organizers from Rajshree Institute of Management & Technology, Bareilly to organize the
conference on such a large scale and provide a gathering of a large number of
participants. We take the opportunity to welcome all the participants in this esteemed
event. I have no doubt that the presentations and deliberation during this conference will
be useful to all the participants and will inspire them to strive for excellence in their
respective disciplines. My sincere felicitations to all the delegates and wish them all the
success in their future endeavors.

Abstract
This study is focused on the response of structure with Passive Control System like
Tune Mass Damper and Base isolation techniques under seismic excitation. For the
assessment, a structure is modelled as a two-degree-of-freedom system; one degree-
of-freedom represents a main structure and the other represents an auxiliary system.
Base isolator and Tune Mass Damper (TMD) are designed as a link support element
for a 10 storied reinforced concrete building in Sap2000 with properties of effective
stiffness and damping in Isolator and also mass properties in TMD. The corresponding
important results are obtained by non-linear time history analysis. The Time History
Analysis has produced meaningful graphs showing the displacements for different
parameters of the Base Isolation and TMD. The performance of Base isolation and
TMD are evaluated numerically and compared for different available time histories and
also find the effect of near field and far field earthquake on passive control.

Abstract
Aim of this study is to find out a solution which can reduce the severity of road
accidents occurring at road curves. Accident-related data is showing that 1,230
accidents and 414 deaths are taking place every day. On an average 60,000 accidents
and 20,000 deaths take place annually on the road curves. Also, in these accidents
about 60,000 people every year get severely injured due to various complicated linear
roadway conditions, run off the road, unstable traffic speed and dangerous driving
conditions on road curves. In most of the cases vehicle get run-off the road and
crashes with guard rails and accident become more severe due to heavy impact
generated. This impact can be reduced by new and robust safety barrier called Roller
Safety Barrier. It works on the principle of conversion of impact energy into rotational
energy. Roller Safety Barrier is not the replacement of other conventional barriers. It
is an additional safety feature which enhances the safety of vehicle and passengers
in case of severe accident. It can be easily implemented at accident prone sites and
will increase the survival chances of passengers in lethal collision of vehicle with safety
barriers.

The Effect on Properties of Concrete by Using Rice Husk Ash

(RHA) as Partial Replacement for Cement in Concrete
Rizwan Khan
Assistant Professor, Invertis University, Bareilly (U.P)

Abstract
The main objective of using Rice Husk Ash is to use it with cement in concrete as an
admixture. It has high pozzolanic characteristics and contributes to high strength
impermeability of concrete. It is a material of future as concrete admixture. Use of RHA
will contribute not only to the production of concrete of higher quality and lower cost
but also the reduction of CO2 emission from the production of cement. High and rising
cost of building material can be reduced by use of alternative additive that is cheap,
effective, environmentally friendly, locally available and reduce the overall dead wt. of
building. RHA concrete can be effectively used as light wet concrete for the
construction of structure. Concrete which is made from waste material that are eco-
friendly are called as green concrete. Using RHA in concrete will help to reduce the
amount of cement due to partial replacement of cement by RHA and using the waste
material. There are three tests to be conducted with various percentage of RHA in the
mix design and check the compressive strength after 7 and 28 days. In this paper the
brief of studies is made on research by various authors.

Abstract
Even if people live in an arid desert, they know that plenty of water exists in the air
they breathe. However, the reality tells us the atmospheric water cannot help to slake
the world's thirst. Thus, an important question occurs: what are the fundamental limits
of atmospheric water harvesting that can be achieved in typical arid and semi-arid
areas? Here, through a thorough review on the present advances of atmospheric
water-harvesting technologies, we identify the achievements that have been acquired
and evaluate the challenges and barriers that retard their applications. Lastly, we
clarify our perspectives on how to search for a simple, scalable, yet cost-effective way
to produce atmospheric water for the community and forecast the application of
atmospheric water harvesting in evaporative cooling, such as electronic cooling, power
plant cooling, and passive building cooling.

Abstract
In this present scenario the density is much more important than the strength of
structure in constructional field. A low-density material having same strength can
reduce the self-weight of the structure and also the construction cost of the structure.
In this study, structural lightweight aggregate concrete is designed with natural Perlite
aggregate as partial replacement with fine aggregate which will provide an advantage
of increasing the insulating capacity of structure and reducing dead weight of structure
as compared to the normal concrete. Partial replacement of Perlite with sand in
percentages of 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% in normal concrete mix. The investigations
are to be conducted using compressive strength test with (100*100*100) mm³ cubes
of M30 mix design after putting each cube in muffle furnace with elevated temperature
as (27 ºC,200 ºC,400 ºC,600 ºC,800⁰C).

Abstract
Roundabouts are a growing trend, it is very important to know the values of the traffic
flow parameters, particularly the speeds at the entry and exit leg, as well as in the
circulatory zone, there is a significant dependence between geometrical
characteristics of certain elements of the roundabout on speeds. The relationship
between roundabout design and traffic characteristics was quantified, focusing on the
behaviour of users measured through travelling speed on different types of roundabout
geometric design. Roundabouts cost significantly less than traditional intersections to
maintain. The intersections where space is available and traffic congestion is more
than a usual congestion there roundabouts can be executed for easy traffic flow. The
objective of this paper is to study about the roundabouts at intersections and for further
designing of roundabouts where traffic congestion is high.

Abstract
Many colonial time constructions across the world use lime mortar bonded brickwork
loadbearing walls; nevertheless, most study on masonry structures exclusively refer
to single brick thick walls. The majority of heritage brick masonry in northern India was
engineered by the British administration and is made entirely of lime mortar or lime-
surkhi (crushed brick aggregate) mortar. The dynamic features of lime mortar, which
is primarily made up of historical brick masonry stock, were studied. Heritage
structures are extremely vulnerable to seismic activity, particularly in the Himalayan
foothills' highly active tectonic zones. Material properties of Historic Unreinforced Brick
Masonry (HUBM) in lime mortar are critical for assessment but testing in-situ
constituents is difficult due to intervention constraints imposed by civic bodies on such
heritage structures, so extensive testing on contemporary lime masonry has been
carried out. Compression tests revealed design, yield, ultimate strength, and possible
inelastic material qualities that are acceptable for describing the cyclic behaviour of
historical brick masonry in India. In comparison to modern mortars constructed
masonry, the elastic modulus, shear modulus, and Poisson ratio were found to be on
the low side. The objective of the study is to probe about seismic behaviour in the
elastic and inelastic range which was characterised by parameters such as damping,
hysteresis behaviour, energy dissipation, and stiffness degradation, which revealed
that increasing the compressive strength of lime mortar improved the performance of
brick masonry.

Abstract

In recent years, cold formed steel sections are used more and more as primary
framing components as well as secondary structural systems. The geometry can
significantly influence the stability response of cold formed steel members. This
reportis an investigation concerning the structural behavior of the cold formed steel
beams and their failure modes. The beam profile is cold formed steel section and
experimental procedure on cold formed steel section is conducted. Thin sheet steel
products are extensively used in building industry, and range from purlins to roof
sheeting and floor decking. Generally, these are available for use as basic building
elements for assembly at site or as prefabricated frames or panels. These thin steel
sections are cold-formed, i.e. their manufacturing process involves forming steel
sections in a cold state (i.e. without application of heat) from steel sheets of uniform
thickness. Sometimes they are also called Light Gauge Steel Sections or Cold
Rolled Steel Sections. The thickness of steel sheet used in cold formed section
construction was 3.1 mm. The method of manufacturing is important as it
differentiates these products from hot rolled steel sections. Normally, the yield
strength of steel sheets used in cold-formed sections is at least 280 N/mm2,
although there is a trend to use steels of higher strengths, and sometimes as low
as 230 N/mm2.

Abstract
Civil engineering is a field that carries a lot of weight. Civil engineers create structures
that are used by a large number of people. The necessity of ensuring their comfort
and safety cannot be overstated. In this field, there is no room for mistakes because
they could lead in terrible disasters. Improper design and analysis will cause the
structure to lead, resulting in a significant loss of life and property. As a result, thorough
structural analysis based on safety considerations and load combinations is required
to preserve safety. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the apex agency in India
responsible for establishing engineering design, materials, and working processes
guidelines. The 'National Building Code of India' (NBC) published by the BIS must be
followed in the design of all structures. It lays out all of the guidelines for building. It
has been published the IS codes for civil engineering activities with the joint permission
of the civil engineering council. While working on the construction project, we must
adhere to the IS guidelines. The design and analysis of a G+14 R.C.C. structure will
be the focus of this project.

Abstract
Earthquake is one of the biggest problems for a structure. Damping Plays important
role in design of Earthquake Resistant Structures, which reduces the response of the
structure when they are subjected to lateral loads. There are many different types of
dampers in use. The main task of a structure is to bear the lateral loads and transfer
them to the foundation. Since the lateral loads imposed on a structure are dynamic in
nature, they cause vibrations in the structure. In order to have earthquake resistant
structures, dampers have been used. Buildings having square and rectangular plans,
with square and rectangular column cross- sections are analyzed, with and without
dampers. In the present study the software ETABS 2015 have been used. Using
response of the RCC building considered in the present study is evaluated and
compared with and without dampers and then there performance is evaluated in two
symmetrical closed building. It has been observed that in twin building the dampers
are not showing so much appropriate results when they are compared. When the
dampers are used in the vertically irregular building, then they are showing different
results with each other.
To Study the Suitability of Sandstone Quarry Dust with
Partial Replacement of Natural Sand in Concrete

Abstract
The present experimental investigation was conducted to study the suitability of
sandstone quarry dust as a partial replacement of natural sand in concrete.
Workability, compressive strength, splitting tensile strength water absorption, sorptivity
and rapid chloride-ion permeability of concrete were tested by replacing natural sand
with quarry dust at different varying percentages in concrete. the reduction in the
sources of natural sand and the requirement for reduction in the cost of concrete
production has resulted in the increased need to identify substitute material to sand
as fine aggregates in the production of concretes, especially in Concrete. Quarry dust,
a by-product from the crushing process during quarrying activities is one of such
materials. Granite fines or rock dust is a by-product obtained during crushing of granite
rocks and is also called quarry dust. In recent days there has also been many attempts
to use Fly Ash, an industrial by product as partial replacement for cement to have
higher workability, long term strength and to make the concrete more economically
available. This present work is an attempt to use Quarry Dust as partial replacement
for Sand in concrete. Attempts have been made to study the properties of concrete
and to investigate some properties of Quarry Dust the suitability of those properties to
enable them to be used as partial replacement materials for sand in concrete. The
increase in compressive strength of concrete was mainly attributed to increase in
density of concrete with the inclusion of quarry dust and better conditions for hydration
of cement in the presence of quarry dust micro-fines.

Abstract
Vision-based hand gesture recognition enabling computers to understand hand
gestures as humans do is an important technology for intelligent human computer
interaction. Using hand gestures is one of the most natural ways of interacting with the
computer and most importantly correct interpretation of moving hand gestures in real-
time has many applications In this paper, a recognition system for dynamic hand
gestures is proposed. In this paper, the author has designed and developed a system
which can recognize gestures in front of a web camera real time using motion history
images (MHI) and feed forward neural networks. In dynamic hand gesture recognition,
hand is segmented by using background subtraction method. MPEG-7 ART based
shape descriptors are used to extract spatial information. The concept of hand
gestures recognition when the fingers are detected and recognized, the hand gesture
can be recognized using a simple rule classifier. In the rule classifier, the hand gesture
is predicted according to the number and content of fingers detected. The content of
the fingers means what fingers are detected.
Our approach is based on particle filter to extract trajectory features. After collecting
suitable features, Radial Basis Function neural network is used for classification.
Gesture recognition rate is in the range of 80% to 98%.

Abstract
The metaverse is a concept of an online, 3D, virtual space connecting users in all
aspects of their lives. It would connect multiple platforms, like the internet containing
different websites accessible through a single browser. The concept was developed
in the science-fiction novel Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. However, while the idea
of a metaverse was once fiction, it now looks like it could be a reality in the future.
Crypto cloud economies are the next emerging market investment frontier and the
Metaverse is at the forefront of this Web 3.0 internet evolution. The Metaverse is a set
of interconnected, experiential, 3D virtual worlds where people located anywhere can
socialize in real-time to form a persistent, user-owned, internet economy spanning the
digital and physical worlds. The internet has always been about connecting people.
Over the past three decades, internet technology has evolved, and the way we all
interact with the web has evolved with it. Much has changed, but three key eras of
online-based communities could be thought of as: • Web 1.0 - Netscape connected us
online • Web 2.0 - Facebook connected us into online communities • Web 3.0 -
Decentral and connected us into a community-owned virtual world.

Abstract
AI offers a number of advantages over traditional analytics and clinical decision-
making techniques. Learning algorithms can become more precise and accurate as
they interact with training data, allowing humans to gain unprecedented insights into
diagnostics, care processes, treatment variability, and patient outcomes. Artificial
intelligence will enable the next generation of radiology tools that are accurate and
detailed enough to replace the need for tissue samples in some cases, experts predict.
Artificial intelligence is helping to enable “virtual biopsies” and advance the innovative
field of radiomics, which focuses on harnessing image-based algorithms to
characterize the phenotypes and genetic properties of tumors. Artificial intelligence
could help mitigate the impacts of this severe deficit of qualified clinical staff by taking
over some of the diagnostic duties typically allocated to humans. Artificial intelligence
may also help to process routine requests from the inbox, like medication refills and
result notifications. Machine learning algorithms and their ability to synthesize highly
complex datasets may be able to illuminate new options for targeting therapies to an
individual’s unique genetic makeup.

ABSTRACT
Recently Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence have become two of the most trending
technologies. Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology (DLT) that allows the data
to be stored across the globe on the network, while letting everyone else see anyone
else’s entries in near real time. On the other hand, AI is a branch of computer science
that is focused on creating such machines that are capable of performing tasks that
require human intelligence, also called machine intelligence. The data nowadays in
Internet is cluttered everywhere and usage of that data in complex cyberspace is
difficult to authorize or validate. By integrating both the technologies we can ensure
the secure data storing, computing, and sharing in the large-scale Internet
environment. Researchers have been exploring the combination of these two
technologies, as it can highly develop the block chain’s underlying architecture and
enhance AI's paradigm. In this paper we also identify and discuss the challenges of
utilizing Blockchain technologies for AI.

Compare Between DCT and DWT for Digital image Watermarking

using HUFFMAN coding
Ankur Bhatnagar
Department of Computer Science & Engineering
Rajshree Institute of Management & Technology, Bareilly
Abstract
Nowadays, the volume of the data is increasing with time which generates a problem
in storage and transfer. To overcome this problem, the data compression is the only
solution. Data compression is the science (or an art) of representing information in
compact form. This is an active research area. Compression is to save the hardware
storage space and transmission bandwidth by reducing the redundant bits. Basically,
lossless & lossy are two types of data compression technique. In lossless data
compression, original data is similar to decompressed or decoded data, but in lossy
technique is not same.
In this paper, two algorithms called Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete
Wavelet Transform (DWT) in digital image watermarking are compared. Therefore, by
this method, the best result is obtained in the LL domain according to DWT. Therefore,
according to the proposed embedding phase and extraction Mark, our schema
embeds logo bits in the low frequency domain. Enhance us with image encryption and
image watermarking using HUFFMAN coding. The principle of this process is to
recover safety and robustness of the proposed DCT and DWT comparison system.
Therefore, compared to other methods, this method can provide higher security
accuracy and less data loss rate. The method also focuses on improving the quality
after the embedding step and the goal of regaining the watermark after the extraction
step. After experiments, it turns out that our proposed method provides safety and high
performance with lower computational complexity and good target quality. Our chart
evaluates the performance of watermarked image after the embedding step using
peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and evaluates the recovered watermark by some
types of performance indicators (such as mean square error (MSE). The performance
is evaluated by using MSE & PSNR. DWT, quantization, Arithmetic, Huffman coding
and DCT techniques are briefly introduced. After decompression, the quality of image
is evaluated using PSNR parameter between original & decoded image. Compression
ratio (CR) parameter is calculated to measure how many times image compressed.

ABSTRACT
Rapidly changing technology and short product lifecycle make electronic products
obsolete in quick time and ending up as e-waste that is either internally generated or
is imported from other countries. Worldwide there is a growing debate on electronic
waste [e-waste] which is a burgeoning problem in developed and developing countries
and it is posing a new challenge to the environment regulators and policy maker to
combat. E-waste comprises of a multitude of component with valuable materials, some
containing toxic substance that can have adverse impact ecology, directly or indirectly
on living beings, and pollute the environment if not handle properly in India, e-waste
management assumes greater significance due to lack of implementation of rule for
effective processing of e-waste, inadequate infrastructure and procedures for it
disposure and recycling, besides dumping of e-waste from developed countries. Most
of the user are unaware of the potential negative impact of e-waste which is ending up
in dumping yards and recycling country. This study provides a comprehensive
overview of India’s Current e-waste scenario, environmental impact and health
hazards, disposal and recycling methods, adjusting legal framework, and
recommendation for immediate action to steer clear of its impact on the concerned.

Dopamine Modulation of Honeybee central olfactory Neurons
Ompal Gangwar
Assistant Professor
Department of Zoology
Rajshree Institute of Management & Technology, Bareilly
Abstract
The aim of this study is to establish; using RNA interference, the identity of receptors that
mediate the effects of dopamine on control olfactory neurons in the Honey Bee.
We have recently shown that Honeybee queens use chemical. Signals (Pheromones) to
manipulate dopamine pathways in the brain of young worker honey bees. Pathways that
play role in behavioural regulation and motor Control. Exposing young Bees to queen
Pheromone not only alters brain dopamine levels in young workers. But also selectively
alters the expression of dopamine receptor genes. But what impact does this have on
brain function and ultimately the behavior of the bee? Our studies have shown that
changes in dopamine function in the worker brain in have significant Impact on
associative olfactory learning in this Insect.

For this reason; we have focused our attention on dopamine modulation of Neurons in
two key regions of the brain primary. Olfactory centers (the antennal lobes) and
mushroom bodies. Centers known to play a key role in the formation of olfactory
Memories. This Study aims to reveal more clearly the cellular Mechanisms through which
do pamine operates. Using honey bee antennal lobe neurons in vitro, Previous studies
from our laboratory have identified calcium activated potassium currents as key targets
of dopamine modulation in these cells. but the receptors that mediate the effects of
dopamine on these. Currents have yet to Identified.

Three dopamine receptor genes have been cloned and characterized in honey bee.

Amdop1, Amdop 2 and Amdop 3.

All 3 are expressed by neurons in antennal lobes and mushroom bodies of the brain. RNA
Interference techniques will be used in this project to selectively block the expression of
dopamine receptor genes in olfactory Interneurons in vitro. Whole cell voltage clamp
recording from the cells will then be used to assess the Impact of down regulating the
Expression of dopamine receptor genes on response to Exogenously applied dopamine.

Amity University, Noida
Abstract
In recent years, rural markets have acquired significance, as the overall growth of the
economy has resulted into substantial increase in the purchasing power of the rural
communities. Rural areas are evolving into strategic market for companies which include
not only domestic but MNCs too. There is great potential that lies in rural market. Rural
retailing has become the latest marketing mantra of most of the corporate majors. True,
rural India is vast with unlimited opportunities, all waiting to be tapped by the corporate
sector. Not surprising that the Indian corporate sector is busy putting in place a parallel
rural retailing strategy to penetrate rural market. The journey of urban markets to the rural
markets has indeed been one of surmounting one hurdle after another; these include the
4 As - Availability, Affordability, Acceptance and Awareness - adopting themselves to the
rural atmosphere marketers. Although there are many hurdles, the rural retailing is pivotal
to the country’s economic growth, social and political development. In this paper, we
attempted to study different initiatives taken by corporate sector for same. By using case
methodology and secondary data, the paper provides sound understanding the various
initiatives. Further it is suggested that the more and more companies should explore the
key opportunities and challenges of rural retailing in India. To be successful, these
companies need to be more innovative, dogged and culturally sensitive in developing
rural retailing strategies.

ABSTRACT

The heart of India lives in villages. From the very beginning of an individual’s education,
we have learnt that 70% of the population is – agrarian. The figure is gradually decreasing
because of the advancement of new sectors, which come under the list of secondary and
territory sectors. In today’s economy, the marketers are trying to make sure that no stone
shall remain untouched. With this objective, ‘Rural Marketing’ has become the core area
of research. Given that, an over-whelming majority of India’s huge population lives in rural
areas, retailers are trying their level best to penetrate the –Hinter land. Rural India is more
or less experiencing the same changes as Urban India. Some of them are- preferences
of consumers, changing pattern of consumers, increasing exposure to different life-styles
and products, with an enhanced purchase- power. India has become one of the most
attractive destinations, for the retailers, from all across the globe. A million thanks to the
entry of – corporate with their exceptional promotional strategies. It has given an entirely
unique dimension and a new padding to the consumer’s behavior and life- style. An
increased influence of western culture and the witnessing of rising incomes of individuals
have given it a further boost. The present paper is an attempt in revealing the ‘challenges
and opportunities’, before the retailers. The major concern being increased quality of the
peoples living, in rural areas. The retail sector is – vibrant with growth happening in all
related areas, be it malls, hypermarkets or single brand of luxury stores. It is witnessing
a growth phase and everyone wants to make their presence felt, in order to take their
share of the huge pie. Take a gourmet trip-dig in, to sample the depth and breadth of this
amazing sector.

Cyber Laws and Security: Need for Creating Awareness about
Precautionary Measures
Deepak Mahaur
Assistant Professor
Rajshree Law College, Bareilly U.P., India
Abstract
As technology advances, man has become reliant on the Internet for all of his
requirements. As the internet and its associated advantages grew in popularity, so did the
notion of cybercrime. Now day’s different types of cybercrime are committed. Cybercrime
is defined as illegal conduct in which a computer is utilized as a tool, a target, or both.
Cybercrime is a rapidly developing field of crime these days, and it is increasing at a rapid
rate. Criminals have discovered that the cyber world makes it easier to commit crimes,
thus it has become a major issue that adequate laws and infrastructure be put in place to
regulate cybercrime. The Information Technology Act of 2000 subsequently revised in
2008, was enacted to set limitations for these types of attackers when it came to
committing Cyber-crimes. For laypeople, this is known as the Cyber-law. We are living in
the twenty-first century in a developing country where there is a use of internet even in
rural areas for daily life work. As a result of the increased use of the internet, the rate of
online crime is growing as well, for which the victim has legal recourse but the common
men are not aware about it. The objective of this paper is to find out the awareness among
people of Bareilly District about cybercrime, cyber security, cyber laws, etc. The data for
this research is taken from primary and secondary sources. 100 people from different
villages and towns of Bareilly district were contacted and discussed about it. It is find out
that there is less awareness among people about the legal resources available to them
in case of cybercrime. It is felt that there are still some gaps in the IT Act of 2008 since
there are new and unknown cyber-offenses for which the law needs to stretch its arms
and tighten its grip. It is also observed that the number of cyber-crime case files is growing
faster than the number of solved cases, which is attributable to people’s negligence and
a shortage of cyber professionals who can handle these situations. As a result, we require
better training institutions as well as a mandatory branch of Cyber-security topics that will
aid in the resolution of cyber-cases and increase trust in security; nonetheless, we can
attempt to safeguard ourselves. No institution or anti-virus can totally safeguard someone,
but by using the measures described above, we can secure our information, data,
devices, and ourselves.

Abstract

Cyber security provides protection to the internet connected networks and system from
the cyber-attacks. To stop attacks everyone must know and aware of all cyber law,
regulations and compliance to secure the cyber. Cyber security is all about to stop cyber-
crime. Cyber security is must, and we have to know about all safety measures required
to stop cyber-crime. This paper gives details information about cyber security and its
safety measure with the help of secondary data. Also, we will discuss about the activities
related to it and how actually cyber-crime happens and all steps taken by the various
organization and Government to have cyber ethics everywhere. Cyber security provides
protection against the cyber-crime and teach us what essential safety measures one need
to follow from all cyber-crimes. Securing online information is priority where everyone is
involved with technology. Whenever anyone talked about cyber security, straight one
thing comes in mind that is cyber-crime and what safety measures need to take to be safe
from it. Further there are also offences that are not covered by the IT Act because they
are already covered by other laws, such as “Cyber-defamation,” which is governed by the
Indian Penal Code, 1860. The term “Defamation” and its punishment are defined under
this Act, so there is no need for a separate definition elsewhere because the impact of
such an online offence is the same as it is offline.

Surrogacy- A Means of Assisted Reproductive Technology

Pragya Singh
Assistant Professor
Rajshree Law College, Bareilly

Abstract

Surrogacy is an arrangement, often supported by a legal agreement, whereby a

woman (the gestational carrier) agrees to bear a child for another person or people, who
will become the child's parent(s) after birth.

People may seek a surrogacy arrangement when pregnancy is medically impossible,

when pregnancy risks are dangerous for the intended mother, or when a single man or a
male couple wish to have a child. Surrogacy is considered one of many assisted
reproductive technologies.

In surrogacy arrangements, monetary compensation may or may not be involved.

Receiving money for the arrangement is known as commercial surrogacy. The legality
and cost of surrogacy varies widely between jurisdictions, sometimes resulting in
problematic international or interstate surrogacy arrangements. Couples seeking a
surrogacy arrangement in a country where it is banned sometimes travel to a jurisdiction
that permits it. In some countries, surrogacy is legal only if money does not exchange
hands.

Where commercial surrogacy is legal, couples may use the help of third-party agencies
to assist in the process of surrogacy by finding a surrogate and arranging a surrogacy
contract with her. These agencies often screen surrogates' psychological and other
medical tests to ensure the best chance of healthy gestation and delivery. They also
usually facilitate all legal matters concerning the intended parents and the surrogate.
Business and its legal issues. An overview
Aqsa Sajid
Assistant Professor

Abstract

International business includes all commercial activities that take place to promote the
transfer of goods, services, resources, people, ideas, and technologies across national
borders. International business occurs in many different forms, the movement of goods
from one country to another (exporting, importing, trade), contractual agreements that
allow foreign firms to use products, services, and processes from other nations (licensing,
franchising), the formation and operations of sales, manufacturing, research and
development, and distribution facilities in foreign markets. But Each country has its own
rules and regulations, own government, foreign policies, inflation rates and currency
exchange rates which makes the business models more complex. Therefore, there is a
need for international law which eases the process of doing business globally.
International Commercial Law regulates the business transactions of different countries.
It is a body set up of legal rules, international treaties or conventions, international
customs, or usages to govern international business transactions.
Some legal issues are also attached with the global expansion of international business-
like choice of structure, Governing laws, intellectual property, foreign policies, politics and
relations, foreign currency exchange and inflation etc.

Abstract
Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized via co-precipitation technique in
the presence of 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIM.PF6) ionic
liquid (IL) using Zinc acetate. dihydrate (Zn(CH3COO)2.2H2O) and sodium hydroxide
(NaOH) pellets. The structural, optical properties of the prepared ZnO NPs and ZnO-
BMIM.PF6 NPs samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction studies (XRD),
FourierTransform Spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy (UV-Vis).
XRD studies confirm the monoclinic structure of ZnO NPs with the average crystallite size
of 31 nm in the absence of IL and 32 nm in the presence of IL as estimated by Debye-
Scherrer formula. The FTIR spectra of ZnO NPs sample has been altered by the addition
of an appropriate amount of IL. The blue shift in the absorption spectra was observed for
the addition of BMIM.PF6 IL to the ZnO. It is clear from UV-Vis spectral analysis that,
incorporation of IL to ZnO structure decreases the optical bandgap.

Department of chemistry
Rajhsree Institute of Management & technology, Bareilly

Abstract
The objective of this paper is to recycle household biodegradable waste using composting
technique. Composting is a simple and almost effortless process of recycling. The
biodegradable wastes are degraded by the action of small organisms like bacteria and
fungi. Biodegradable waste such as food, garden waste, paper, and cardboard, we can
send these for recycling into compost. By decomposing them under a controlled
environmental condition, mixtures of organic materials that are components of
biodegradable waste were recycled. Composting, recycling organic waste such as
vegetation and food waste reduces the amount of waste that goes to landfill, making it a
rapidly growing sector. Waste-to-energy has now become a type of utilization of
renewable energy that can bring environmental and economic benefits to the world.

Abstract

With a tidal wave of interest focusing on ways to reduce energy consumption and at the
same time to be ecologically and environmentally, green marketing has fast emerged as
a worldwide phenomenon which interests the consumers. Consumers are now more
ecologically conscious and show more interest in purchasing of environment friendly
products i.e., green products. The present study is an attempt to investigate consumer
perception and purchase intention towards green products in India. The data has been
collected from Bareilly district. The findings of the study shows that 75 percent
respondents perceive green products as environment friendly products. Male
respondents are more aware about green products and also consider it while making
shopping in comparison to female respondents. Majority of the respondents are ready to
pay 10-20 percent more prices than the prices of non-green products. Consumers are
ready to pay more price for environment friendly products and have positive and high
intentions to buy green products. Hence, marketers need to consider efforts that are
required to convert the environment concern into environmental consumption behavior.

Vitamin D Deficiency
Vidisha Anand
Assistant professor
Department of Home Science
Rajshree Institute of Management and Technology, Bareilly
ABSTRACT
Vitamin D deficiency is now recognized as a pandemic. The major cause of vitamin D
deficiency is the lack of appreciation that sun exposure in moderation is the major source
of vitamin D for most humans. Very few foods naturally contain vitamin D, and foods that
are fortified with vitamin D are often inadequate to satisfy either a child's or an adult's
vitamin D requirement. Vitamin D deficiency causes rickets in children and will precipitate
and exacerbate osteopenia, osteoporosis, and fractures in adults. Vitamin D deficiency
has been associated with increased risk of common cancers, autoimmune diseases,
hypertension, and infectious diseases. A circulating level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D or 30
ng/mL, is required to maximize vitamin D's beneficial effects for health. In the absence of
adequate sun exposure, at least 800–1000 IU Vitamin D2 may be equally effective for
maintaining circulating concentrations of D when given in physiologic concentrations.

Abstract
The term tribe is generally used to define a group of people who share common customs
and live near nature. According to the Census of India (2011), the tribes constitute a
substantial minority in India making up to 8.6 per cent of India’s total population. There
are mainly five tribes residing in Uttarakhand namely, Jaunsari tribe, Tharu tribe, Raji
tribe, Buksa tribe and Bhotiya tribe. Bhotiya tribe consists of ethno-linguistically related
people residing in trans-Himalayan region known to be living in close proximity to nature,
depending on nature for their basic needs of life and having good knowledge about the
ethno-medicinal use of indigenously grown plants. But many a times this traditional
knowledge which is environment friendly and human safe remains untapped and
undocumented. Therefore, the present paper is an attempt to explore the traditional
knowledge of Bhotiya tribe about the ethno-medicinal use of indigenously grown plant
species. A survey was conducted among 50 rural women of Bhotiya tribe of age group
18-50 years residing in Munsyari region of Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand. The results

Military System under Shahjahan

Abstract

The records of the Mughal armies are complete of glory and fame. Under Babur, they
over ran the entire of northern India and tested their supremacy over the ones of The
Rajputs and the Afghans.
According to our research and reasserts, Shahjahan observed identical navy Gadget
which became winning below Mughals. The navy administrative gadget of Shahjahan
maintained its energy and energy in its outward appearance, the campaigns in Balkh,
Badakhasha, Qandahar and Deccan.
A popular paucity in modern money owed of critical information has a tendency to restrict
the observe of Shahjahan’s Strategy and techniques. The reassets continue to be
destitute of intimate Information as struggle formations, improvement of charge,
topography, positioning of Armies, numerical cut up of wings and the like. Inspite of terrific
enlargement in firearms, selection of battles has been compelled with the aid of using
advanced cavalry deployment. For this the Mughals faithfully observed the principles set
out with the aid of using Timur, in his ‘Institutes’. That these ‘Institutes’ remained legitimate
even three hundred years after their writer has been viable due specifically to the truth
that Mughal Era moved with a totally gradual pace. It by no means reached a factor of
perfection where it can replacement the cavalry.
Shahjahan’s navy had positive desirable points, there has been mansabdari gadgets .it
constant the location of each navy chief withinside the authentic hierarchy. Recruitment
withinside the Ranks at once made with the aid of using the Emperor created a sense of
devotion most of the officials for his or her sovereign. The identical spirit of nationality
prevailed withinside the regiments of the navy. Each officer needed to carry a blended
contingent which include the Rajputs, Mughals and others.
Besides this, Shahjahan’s coverage of dividing the navy in 5 department, Cavalry,
Artillery, Infantry, Elephantry and Navy stronger performance of navy Organisation.
The rule of Mughals started withinside the sixteenth Century and reached its zenith below
Shahjahan. Hitherto, Shahjahan loved the only popularity of the ‘terrific architect,’
However his contribution withinside the navy enterprise has now no longer but been
explored.
Thus, an strive has been made on this gift dissertation to spotlight the unexplored features
of the “Military Organizations below Shahjahan”. Pioneer of the navy records William Irvin
posted his paintings “The Army of the Indian Mughals” in 1903 and, therefore explored
the records of the navy enterprise below the Mughals. William Irvin’s paintings has later
been substantiated with the aid of using Abdul Aziz in 1942 whilst he posted his paintings
on “Mansabdari System and the Mughal army”. However, Abdul Aziz has essentially
treated the Mansabdari System, therefore his account did not shed tons mild upon the
enterprise of the Mughal navy which had already been dealt in element with the aid of
using William Irvine. Sir Jadunath Sarkar’s paintings “Military records of India” posted in
1960 is likewise precious to understand the navy Records of India. In popular, however
in between, many uncommon manuscripts associated with the Mughals got here into mild
that have ably been tapped with the aid of using Raj Kumar Phul in his paintings “Armies
of the Great Mughals (1526-1707)”. Raj Kumar Phul posted his paintings in 1978 which
shed new mild on distinct factors of the navy gadget below the Mughals. The precious
thing of the navy, i.e., artillery has been dealt in element with the aid of using M.K.Zaman
in his paintings “Mughal Artillery” in 1982. Undoubtedly all of the supra Noted works have
explored nearly all factors of navy gadget below the Mughals, as a entire, which prolonged
a macro records of the Mughals’s navy.
However, to spotlight the continuity and modifications withinside the navy enterprise
below the Mughals a micro records of the unmarried Emperor became needed, therefore
the significance of the Gift dissertation wherein an strive has been made to discover each
factor of Navy enterprise below the Mughal ruler Shahjahan (r-1628-1658A.D). However,
an honest strive has been made to delineate each statistic to be had in the reassets. The
first extant authentic historian of ShahaJahan’s reign became Mirza Aminai Qazvini’s
Padshahnama.
Another number one supply for the records of the navy Organization below Shahjahan is
ShahjahanNama of Inayat Khan which covers thirty years of Shahjahan’s reign.
Thispaintings has in addition been corroborated with the aid of using Mohammad Salih
Kanbu’s Shahjahanama that’s an in-depth record of Shahjahan’s reign.
The opulent series of Persian statistics preserved withinside the kingdom Archives,
Andhra Pradesh stretches over a length of approximately 5 centuries and covers a
territorial variety of Nearly the whole Deccan. The Mughal Archives in Deccan specifically
pertain to the Reigns of Shahjahan (1628-1658 A.D) which shed tons mild on navy
gadget.
The gift observes ambitions to analyse the navy approach and techniques in wars,
Recruitments to the armies, its enterprise and discipline, navy training, division of the
navy like Artillery, Infantry, Weapons and so on, protection Equipment, Salaries of the
Officials and soldiers, navy camps and so on for the duration of the length of Shahjahan.

Abstract

India, world’s largest democracy, has further strengthened its democracy-base by

empowering local self-governing institutions through Constitution 73⁰d amendment etc.
This has given the local self-governing institutions more empowerment in terms of
administration as well as access to economic sources. This made the local self-governing
institutions, popularly known as Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), to assert more on local
issues and tackle the development issues, especially those related to natural resources
management.

The Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), given their local and rural base, are near
traditional knowledge on various issues. In a state like Arunachal Pradesh, which is totally
dominated by tribal culture, the PRIs are near traditional wisdom on many important
aspects. Arunachal Pradesh, given its geographical terrain is prone to disasters like
landslides, floods, earthquake etc. This is in view; the traditional wisdom too is quite rich
in managing the disasters.

Societies in transition from an agrarian to an industrialized economy will be developing

an awareness of some of the new environmental risks they face, and an understanding
of some of the possible means of protecting themselves from them. But at the same time,
the development process has the potential to damage or destroy protection provided by
traditional ways of doing things through sitting and land-use, building practice, community
defenses or agricultural practices. Replacing these with modern techniques may be a
very costly option. Thus, an appropriate risk reduction strategy for a developing country
has to include an understanding of traditional risk mitigation techniques and should build
on them rather than replace them. In the context of the present study, an attempt was
made to present a brief understanding on the natural disasters by the researcher.

Abstract
In medical research, there are studies which often collect data on categorical variables that
can be summarized as a series of counts. These counts are commonly arranged in a
tabular format known as a contingency table. The chi-square test statistic can be used to
evaluate whether there is an association between the rows and columns in a contingency
table. More specifically, this statistic can be used to determine whether there is any
difference between the study groups in the proportions of the risk factor of interest. Chi-
square test and the logic of hypothesis testing were developed by Karl Pearson. This
article describes in detail what is a chi-square test, on which type of data it is used, the
assumptions associated with its application, how to manually calculate it and how to make
use of an online calculator for calculating the Chi-square statistics and its associated P-
value.

Abstract
The emergence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) demonstrates the importance
of research on understanding and accurately modeling the transmission and spread of
pandemic. In this paper, we consider a susceptible-exposed-infected-recovered-
deceased (SEIRD) system of differential equations to describe relationship among the
number of susceptible individuals, the number of exposed individuals who are transmitting
the virus, the number of infected individuals among the exposed people, the number of
recovered individuals from those infected, and the number of deaths from those infected
in a town, state or country. Based on the empirical results of transmission process of
COVID19 in the United States from April 16th to June 30th, 2020, we consider a few
cases of contact rate, incidence rate, recovery rate, and mortality rate to model the
transmission and dynamics of the virus. Numerical analysis and analytical method are
used to explore the dynamics and prediction of the pandemic.

Abstract
The New Education Policy announced by Government of India (NEP 2020) was a
welcoming change and fresh news amidst all the negativities surrounding the world due
to the challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic. The announcement of NEP 2020 was
purely unexpected by many. The changes that NEP 2020 has recommended were
something that many educationists never saw coming. The year 2020 has been an
exceptional year for countries across the globe. In India, apart from Covid19, one of the
important changes that took place was the development of the New Education Policy
(NEP) 2020.The current education policy existing in India are concentrating majorly on
theoretical aspects which lacks the practical training among the students i.e., the major

Abstract
According to the Planning Commission study, India's poverty rate decreased from 1973
to 2009-10. Similarly, rural poverty fell throughout the same time. Despite the successful
conclusion of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, India continues to suffer from widespread
poverty. India tried a variety of schemes and strategies to alleviate poverty, but they all
failed. Despite attaining more than 5% economic growth, the concept of a trickle-down
impact to aid the poor was likewise a failure. Several anti-poverty legislations were
enacted; however, they were ineffective in helping the poor. The Ministry of Rural
Development is one of India's most significant ministries responsible for the development
of the country's rural areas. The ministry's purpose and vision demonstrate rural India's
long-term, inclusive progress. The ministry is working hard to enhance rural poor people's
livelihood possibilities and quality of life. MGNREGA's goals are to slow the flow of people
from villages to cities, reducing economic strain on cities while also making rural
economies more dynamic and self-sustaining via the establishment of long-term assets.
By guaranteeing 100 days of employment to a rural home whose adult members are
ready to work or volunteer to undertake unskilled manual labour, the government has
given the programme legislative authority. In rural regions, most of the poor rely mostly
on salaries earned via unskilled and physical labour.

Abstract
Tribes are one of the different groups among the Indian population. They remain
underprivileged mostly as they are considered as the lowest section of the Indian society
since the ancient times. The tribes remain disadvantaged due to various factors like
geographical and cultural isolation, lack of proper health facilities, inability to satisfy basic
needs, lack of control over resources and assets, lack of education and skills,
malnutrition, lack of shelter, poor access to water and sanitation, vulnerability to shocks,
violence and crime, lack of access to proper infrastructure facilities and technologies and
lack of political freedom and voice. All these challenges can make their living a difficult
task. Considering these issues, the government is trying to help the tribes through
different welfare schemes. This paper tries to analyse the socio-economic status of the
tribal and the government schemes put forth by the governments of India for the welfare
of tribal communities.

Abstract

Violence against children is a serious problem not only in India but also all over the world.
It has turned into a social evil because children are easy targets for everyone including
anti-social elements. This fact is recongnised by human right commission and UNICF
report ‘progress for Children’ released, states that Malnutrition and child mortality
continue endanger the lives of children in India. Not only in the field of medical but It can
also be seen in the house where parents discriminate among children. More and more
attention is paid to a male child rather than a female child. There are so many causes of
violence against children like child Marriage, child trafficking, child kidnappings, sexual
abuse of children, violence against children in schools & child labour. It should be nipped
in the bud. I think government should take a strict step against this crime otherwise this
violence will spoil the career of children and health as well.
Importance of Soft Skill in Student’s Curriculum

Abstract

We are living in an era where educational trends are changing rapidly, with variety of
educational courses, as a result students are facing a tough competition for job and its
stability. For getting job and making sure its stability students’ needs to add values to their
hard skills with soft skills to manifest their real capability/potential. Hard skills are specific
competencies, skills, knowledge and abilities need to perform a specific task or role
whereas soft-skills are personality traits, social competencies and it focuses on one’s
behaviours and personality. It is suggested that soft skills contribute 75% of one’s success
while hard skills contribute only 25%.

Dynamic workplaces these days are calling for more than book-smarts. The workplace is
continuously evolving at a rapid pace and a person’s ability to adopt a constantly changing
environment. Here, soft skills helps students to be able to think critically, communicate
and collaborate effectively and lead in different situation. As increasingly complex roles
and responsibility come with less time to learn on the job. It is important for student to
develop their soft skills before getting the job.

The Indian market is also becoming global onset of economic liberalization, so the quality
of soft skills are to be absorb by the young minds of India.to show their real potential
globally. Keeping in mind the importance of soft skills, many educational institutes have
started projects and activities for the development of soft skills in students. A study was
undertaken in Bareilly city, where almost all types of education and job opportunities are
available. This paper presents the findings of above study this paper also puts forward
some suggestion for developing soft skills among youths.
The Curse of Dowry System
Neetu Sharma
Department of English
Rajshree Degree College
Abstract
Dowry system is one of the worst evils of Indian Society. The word ‘Dowry’ means the
property and money that a bride brings to her husband’s house at the time of her
marriage. It is a custom that is prevalent in all the sections of our society in one form or
the other. At the beginning it was voluntary, but later the social pressure was such that
very few could escape from it.

The dowry at present is a source of both joy and curse in the society. It is a joy to the
husband and his relatives who get cash, costly dress, and utensils furniture etc. But it is
a curse to the bride’s parents who must bear enormous cost to satisfy the unreasonable
demands of the bridegroom’s party.

A demand of dowry does not diminish even after marriage. The in laws of the bride are
very much ready in Indian homes to inflict harassment, insults, and tortures- both mental
and physical. When more pressure is put on the bride’s parents, their dear daughter has
no other option but to commit suicide to avoid more insult and torture at the hands of the
members of her husband’s family. In my opinion government should take a strict action
against this evil and the rules which are made by the parliament to stop this evil should
be followed strictly by the people.

Covid-19 and the Changing Face of Child Labour in India and its
Economic Impact
Pragati Raj
Assistant Professor
Department of Economics
Rajshree Institute of Management & Technology, Bareilly
Abstract
Due to covid 19 pandemic currently child labour is once again being seen as emerging
problem, that is a severe problem for the economy of India. Because India is a young
country and 50 percent of the population in the aged 24 years and below in 2011,
constituting 30.8 percent and 19.3 in the age 0-14 years and 15-24 years. The pandemic
has resulted in economic insecurity in households, either due to the death of earning
members, rising debt, loss of work, or loss of employment opportunities especially for
marginalized communities. This has made children particularly vulnerable and
increasingly we will see children entering manual or unskilled labor to supplement the
family income. In this disturbing situation closing the schools which have kept children
away from education for more than a year, and the situation will worsen after the schools
open and we will face huge dropouts. Due to pandemics millions of children are lacking
primary education. India alone has 33 million child labourers. Rural India has the highest
percentage of child labour, accounting to 80% of the total burden in India. In second wave
of Covid -19 many children lost their parents so now, A year later, the second wave of
Covid-19 in India has meant that its 424 million children (aged 0 to 17 years) continue to
be vulnerable. According to UNICEF, child labour in India has merely shifted from
factories to employee homes and children. Are still engaged in harmful industries such as
bidi production and fireworks production. These figures show that child labour is
increasing continuously in India, which is a serious problem for a developing country like
India because child labour affects growth of a country. This paper discusses about the
problem of increasing child labour in India due to the pandemic, which is a hurdle in
economic development.
Key Words: Child labor, The pandemic, loss of employment, Huge dropouts.
A Study of Self-Help Group-Bank Linkage Programme in India

Pushpendra Kumar
Department of Economics
Rajshree Institute of Management & Technology, Bareilly
Abstract
The biggest challenge in achieving the target of Inclusive Growth is to address the
problem of Financial Exclusion and extend Financial Inclusion. Achieving financial
inclusion through formal banking system is a cumbersome task. Unavailability of
adequate financial services like credit, insurance etc. to majority of people at an affordable
cost is a major roadblock for the growth and prosperity of the country.
Attaining hundred percent Financial Inclusion is one of the biggest challenges for Indian
formal banking system. In this context. 'Micro Finance approach can be considered as an
alternative solution to provide financial services to the common sections of the society.
Ensuring the availability and accessibility of the financial services, timely and adequately,
at an affordable cost, the Self-Help Group-Bank Linkage Programme has been proved
the best Micro Finance programme for financial inclusion in India.
It's been more than two decades since the launch of the Self-Help Group-Bank Linkage
Programme in the year 1992 by NABARD to facilitate financial services among people
who were continuously been excluded from the availability and accessibility of the formal
financial services and since the launch of the programme more than 6.6 million Self Help
Groups (as on 31st March 2020) have now been linked with banks.
Moreover, out of total 6.6 million Self Help Groups linked with banks under the Self-Help
Group-Bank Linkage Programme, 89.56 percent Self Help Groups are exclusive Women
Self Help Groups which is a big push to the women empowerment policies.
To figure out the expansion of Self-Help Group-Bank Linkage Programme at national level
and in different states, we have prepared time series data of the number of Self-Help
Groups linked with banks and the amount of credit disbursed to the linked Self-Help
Groups since the launch of the Programme in the year 1992.
We have also presented an analysis of the extent of Financial Inclusion over the years at
national level and across different states using three specific parameters viz Number of
Bank Accounts as a Proportion of per thousand Population, Population per Bank Branch
(in Thousands) and Credit as a Percentage of GDP/GSDP (at current market price). Using
the results, derived from the analysis of the expansion of Self-Help Group-Bank Linkage
Programme and extent of Financial Inclusion, a comprehensive analysis of the role of
Self-Help Group-Bank Linkage Programme in the extension of Financial Inclusion is
presented for the national level and for the different states.
Furthermore, we have also tried to evaluate the state-wise performance of the Self-Help
Group-Bank Linkage Programme with the help of the three parameters namely- Savings
per Self Help Group, Loan per Self Help Group and Non-Performing Assets per Self Help
Group. These three parameters are respectively taken as a measure of the viability,
outreach, and deterioration level in the functioning of the Self-Help Group-Bank Linkage
Programme.
Subsequently We Have Used To parameters to analyse the role of Self-Help Group-Bank
Linkage Programme in Financial Empowerment of Women- Average Savings per Women
Self Help Group (taken as an indicator of income generation activities and viability of
Women Self Help Groups) and Average Loan Outstanding per Women Self Help Group
(measures the expansion of the Self-Help Group-Bank Linkage Programme towards
facilitating financial inclusion among women).

Abstract
Industrial alcohols (e.g., ethanol, glycerol, acetone, butanol and 2,3- butanediol) are
Widely used in chemical as well as fermentation industries. For example: ethanol is used
as solvent and a Precursor of many synthetic chemicals on the other hand, extraction
procedures of certain antibiotics from fermented broth (e.g., Penicillin) need suitable
solvents. These chemical compounds have been produced by fermentation process.
Today fermentation processes have virtually disappeared because of the development
chemicals.
In brewing industry, microbes are used for preparation of different types of alcoholic
drinks. Yeast is the micro-organisms used in industrial production of alcoholic beverages
all of which contain ethyl alcohol. Alcoholic beverages are of two types, Undistilled,
Distilled. The undistilled beverages are soft liquors as they contain up to 20% alcohol.
E.g. Beer and wine.
The distilled beverages are hard liquors containing more than 20% alcohol. E.g., Whisky,
Rum, Gin, Brandy, Vodka etc.

Abstract:
Piezoelectric floors generate many microwatts up to many watts per step, depending on
space pedestrians’ frequency and piezoelectric technology. There are number of
researches that have focused on harvesting power from piezoelectric floor tiles. The
research addresses the study of experimental model for harvesting kinetic energy of
footsteps and its application in commercial use for e.g. in buildings, playgrounds, etc.
Energy harvesting from human motion is renewable and sustainable energy source.
Human energy harvesting technology converts kinetic energy from human body
movements to electrical energy. This technology can be installed in various places of
cities which are usually overcrowded. Empirical study results indicate environmental
reduction costs were zero, integrating costs were minimal, implementation and
environmental risks are low but lesser revenues and investment payback duration will be
high.
REVIEW PAPER ON SPACE DEBRIS (MAN MADE GARBAGE IN SPACE) &
HUMAN IMPACT ON THE SOLAR SYSTEM

Abstract
This study will be a combination of a review paper as well as insight to the author’s own
model and proposal. The aim of this paper is to support existing technologies geared
entirely towards orbital debris mitigation and will serve as a follow up report and opinion
on the issue and the recent advancements done to solve the issue.
Space debris consists of millions of pieces of man-made material orbiting the Earth at
speeds of up to several km/s. Although, the majority of these fragments result from the
space activities of only three countries, viz. China, Russia, and the United States, yet
pose a continuous threat to all assets in Earth’s orbit. Debris poses a growing threat to
satellites and can prevent the use of valuable orbits in the future. Many pieces of debris
are too small to monitor but too large to shield satellites against. Based on increase in
space debris, certain measures have been taken to address this global issue. In
particular, internationally adopted debris mitigation guidelines are reducing the
introduction of new fragments into Earth’s orbit. However, there is a growing consensus
within the space debris community that mitigation is insufficient to constrain the orbiting
debris population. Also, ensuring a safe future for space activities will require the
development and deployment of systems that actively remove debris from Earth’s orbit.
In this context, efforts have been made to present the reasons and origin of space debris,
their types and impact and the management strategies, which can be taken into
consideration in preserving the near-Earth space environment from the impact of the
junks in Earth’s orbit.

Abstract
As they say, we are headed for the cold war and that is for data. The availability of
data is the biggest concern in many practical applications. This lack of data can arise
due to several factors, for example, non-availability of data, insufficient data, ethical
issues in using the data, etc. Such problems often arise if we work on neurological
data. To develop an algorithm that converts speech into EEG, we need a large EEG
dataset to train neural networks. Transfer learning techniques can be used to
overcome this problem. Transfer learning focuses on storing the knowledge that is
obtained while solving another problem and applying it to a different but similar
problem. In transfer learning, pre-trained neural networks are used with some
modifications in the last three layers. In this proposed research work, transfer learning
is used to train a neural network. The application of transfer learning obviates the need
for EEG data. This EEG data can be used in brain-computer interfaces to control
robotic arms.

Abstract
In today's society, where everyone is fighting with various forms of deadly diseases,
our healthcare system needs to be enhanced and strengthened in order to combat
virus power. These advancements may have been made possible by the use of new
technologies such as internet of things (IOT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine
learning. Healthcare system faced many problems in developing itself before the
introduction of new technologies. The main problem was the availability of doctors and
better communication between patient and doctor. Their physical presence and face
to face communication was affordable for some people only, living in urban areas. For
remote areas distance was the reason for many deaths. Before these technologies
every process needed the time of at least 4-5 days and delay in diagnosis due to time
taking process can lead to serious health issue. Sometimes people do carelessness
and does not able to detect the disease which may lead to dangerous situation. Many
pregnant women faced the problem with their foetuses, their growth, their health
condition. The emerging technologies such as Internet of things (IoT), Artificial
Intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) can give us healthier and safer healthcare
system, as we didn’t expect before. IOT is referred as internet of things which is used
for connecting the multiple devices and transfer the data in safe mode. This boosting
technology is recognised for making our work done in convenient and efficient manner.
IOT in healthcare can be used for connecting the devices and monitors the health of
patient, track their report and also provide diagnosis. IOT healthcare system consists
of several steps like connection of devices like sensors, cameras etc. Then data is
collected and received by the sensors. Then data is organized at data or cloud centres
and finally the it is analysed and action is taken accordingly in the healthcare system.
It may also be referred as IOMT (Internet of Medical Things) and it is assumed to go
above $176 billion by the year 2026.
AI can play the vital role for improving health system. AI can analyse the samples
provided and can reveal the disease accurately. AI will also be capable for clinical
work. According to the research of Antonia Criminsi the method of delineating the
tumours by MRI machines and CT scan is very time taking and basically done by hand.
AI can be used for this; it can reduce the time and will give the exact result. AI has
come up with many treatments’ solution like X-rays, detection of diseases, detecting
diabetic retinopathy (the cause of blindness), different types of cancer. The collection
of data and analysation of model can give us a sequential image which can be used
for connecting the illness solution. It can also predict the ideas, a human never thought
of Richard Mead a neuroscientist in England assures of getting the idea of drug for
neurodegenerative disease from AI. This article gives information on contemporary
healthcare services that have investigated IoT based technology. IoT-technology has
aided healthcare practitioners in monitoring and diagnosing a variety of health
concerns, measuring a variety of health factors, and providing diagnostic facilities at
remote places by utilising these principles. As a result, the healthcare business has
shifted from a hospital-centric to a patient-centric model.

Covid-19 Ventilator and Health Monitoring System

Abstract
A potential worldwide scarcity of mechanical ventilators is a critical concern in the fight
against the sickness caused by the new coronavirus SARSCoV-2, Covid-19. Based
on the number of people estimated to get the disease in India and the percentage of
those who will require assisted ventilation, the required number of ventilators is
expected to far exceed capacity. Covid-19 patients who develop acute respiratory
distress syndrome (ARDS) frequently require extended mechanical ventilation, which
adds to the burden. Due to a shortage of ventilators, doctors around the world have
been forced to make difficult triage decisions about which patients to treat and which
to abandon. The complexity and cost of typical ICU ventilators are exacerbated by the
disruption of regular supply chains as a result of the epidemic, adding to the challenges
of an increasing number of devices. A pandemic caused by a potentially lethal and
easily transmissible viral pathogen such as SARS-CoV-2 necessitates a concentrated
effort to obtain or manufacture sufficient medical equipment to save lives, despite
disruption of normal supply chains, difficult working conditions, and regulatory
restrictions that are reasonable in normal times but jeopardise progress during an
emergency. The demand for ventilators and health monitoring systems has grown with
each passing day and we don't have any good solution yet to fulfil the demand. In our
project we have tried to create our own ventilator to meet this requirement. The
development of a low-cost open-source mechanical ventilator is demonstrated in this
paper. It also explains how and why a person infected with the Covid-19 virus should
be monitored. The servomotor in our ventilator prototype applies pressure to the air
sack (balloon), pushing oxygen-concentrated air into the lungs. When the servomotor
returns to its original position, pressure is released from the air bag (balloon), allowing
it to keep its previous shape. This aids in the removal of carbon dioxide from the lungs
(similar to the process of breathing in and out). The complete breathing mechanism of
a patient should be in sync with his or her regular respiratory rate. The Covid-19
automatic Ambu bag operating device for low-cost ventilator design focuses on safe
operation and reliable production while addressing the specific needs of Covid-19
patients with ARDS: minimising part count, cost, and complexity; reducing or
eliminating reliance on scarce parts and resources; ensuring viable implementation in
various healthcare systems; and seeking simple assembly, testing, and use
procedures by healthcare personnel with limited experience in ventilation.

Abstract
Since its introduction in 1985, inset-fed patch antenna proved to be useful in a wide
variety of applications, and the versatility and flexibility of the basic design have led to
an extensive amount of development and design variations throughout the world.
Some of the useful features and recent developments like impedance bandwidths
ranging from 5% to 50%, independent selection of antenna and feed substrate
materials, theoretically zero cross polarization in principle planes and many possible
variations in patch shape, aperture shape, feed line type, randoms, etc., another feed
technique is direct feed system in rectangular patch antenna. So the comparison of
both antennas on the basis of return loss, bandwidth, radiation intensity etc. The
software tool used here in this design & simulation is an soft HFSS version 10.1, based
on finite element method. Using HFSS, we can compute basic electromagnetic field
quantities and, for open boundary problems, radiated near and far fields, characteristic
port impedances and propagation constant, generalized S-parameters and S-
parameters renormalized to specific port impedance and the eigen modes, or
resonances, of a structure.

Designing of a Fuzzy Controller for Indirect Vector Control 3-Φ

Induction Motor Drive

Abstract
As in the recent years demand of high-performance drives is increasing very rapidly,
there is a need to develop new controller design strategies because conventional
control strategies are not meeting the demand criterion of present world. Controllers
are the main part on which the performance of the drives depends; a drive will be more
effective if the controller used is effective. This work presents a hybrid Artificial
Intelligent Fuzzy–Logic based controller for speed control of three phase induction
motor Drive. Fuzzy-logic–controller is an artificial intelligent control which understands
the linguist variables not the numbers like other controllers. One of the main important
features of this controller is that it does not require the exact mathematical model of
the plant to be controlled which is not possible in many cases and even if, possible in
some cases it is very complex. In industries for the variable speed drives induction
motors are most widely used because of its reliability, cheapness, robustness etc. The
one factor which makes its speed control difficult and sluggish is ‘coupling effect’.
Coupling effect here means the interaction of stator and rotor variables. Field Oriented
Control also known as Vector Control method is used now a days instead of scalar
control to nullify the effect of coupling and to operate induction motor just like a DC
motor, making its speed control fast and easy. In this work the ac drive is tested under
different operating conditions like sudden change in reference speed, sudden change
in load torque etc.
The results are obtained by using MATLAB / Simulink and are compared which shows
that FLC provides good transient response as well as response under different
dynamic operating conditions such as step change in load, step change in reference
speed Compared to conventional controller.

Abstract
We often go to the supermarket once or twice a month for buying all the groceries or
the daily use products for a month or two. If we observe carefully the process of buying
groceries in the supermarket, we might remember few things that, we do have to roam
the whole supermarket or ask someone for buying a specific category product, say for
example, the laundry products. Now, we also get little a little bit confused about the
offers provided on the products by the supermarket due to misplacement of the tags
by the customers while buying the products. Even if we struggle to buy the whole items
present in our list, we’ll be struggling to calculate the total amount we’ve to pay at the
billing counter hence, or if anyone is conscious, they’ll really maintain the calculation
at point using tedious methods and so at the billing counter. We generally notice that
at the billing counter, we to have stand in the long queues too, just because the
employee will scan all the products by the barcode so that the product can get scanned
by the system and hence, they can have the record of the items at their store. All this
process consumes a lot of time, which eventually leads to a big rush in the
supermarket and making of long queues ahead. This paper suggests the techniques
of making a smart and time saving shopping trolley with features of minimising the
efforts from the supermarket employees as well as the customer point of view too,
using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology.

Abstract
This paper proposes an algorithm for multi-user detection (MUD) in multicarrier direct
sequence code division multiple access (MC DS-CDMA) system. MC DS-CDMA
systems are used in radio communication. Performance of these systems are
mitigated by multiple access interference (MAI) created by spread-spectrum users in
the channel. When a minimum mean square error (MMSE) MUD is employed to
initialize the pro- posed algorithm, in all cases tested the gradient search converges to
a solution with optimum performance. CDMA, which motivates low complexity, high
flexibility, and robustness so that the MUD schemes are suitable for deployment in
dynamic communications environments. When a minimum mean square error
(MMSE) MUD is employed to initialize the pro- posed algorithm, in all cases tested the
gradient search converges to a solution with optimum performance. Further, the
iterative tests denote that the proposed IGD algorithm provides significant performance
for cases where other suboptimum algorithms perform poorly. Simulation compares
the proposed IGD algorithm with the conventional detectors.

Abstract
Recent interest in Optical Wireless (OW) as a promising reciprocal innovation for RF
innovation has acquired new force powered by critical arrangements in strong state
lighting innovation. This paper focuses on auditing and summing up ongoing
headways in OW communication. An Optical Wireless Communication (OWC)
framework depends on optical radiations to pass on information in free space, with
frequencies going from Infrared (IR) to Ultraviolet (UV) including the visible light
spectrum. The transmitter/source changes the electrical signal over to an optical
signal, and the receiver/detector converts over the optical power into electrical current.
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) or Laser Diodes (LDs) can be utilized as optical sources
and Photodiodes (PDs) as detectors. This paper presents an overview of the various
ongoing technologies such as Radio over Fiber (RoF), Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and

Abstract
Traditionally, inertia in power systems has been determined by considering all the
rotating masses directly connected to the grid. During the last decade, the integration
of renewable energy sources, mainly photovoltaic installations and wind power
plants, has led to a significant dynamic characteristic change in power systems. This
change is mainly due to the fact that most renewables have power electronics at the
grid interface. The overall impact on stability and reliability analysis of power systems
is very significant. The power systems become more dynamic and require a new set
of strategies modifying traditional generation control algorithms. Indeed, renewable
generation units are decoupled from the grid by electronic converters, decreasing the
overall inertia of the grid. ‘Hidden inertia’, ‘synthetic inertia’ or ‘virtual inertia’ are
terms currently used to represent artificial inertia created by converter control of the
renewable sources

Abstract
In this paper examines the rectifier load employed in wireless charging systems for electric
vehicles (EVs), including its implications for compensation network design and system load
prediction. This work aims at development of Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) for harmonic
reduction. The current harmonics are being caused by nonlinear characteristic of power
electronics-based equipment’s which increase power losses and in turn reduce power quality.
It presents the analysis of rectifier load used for electric vehicle (EV) wireless charging system.
To begin, a rectifier load model is created to determine its equivalent input impedance, which
includes both resistance and inductance components and may be estimated separately using
the rectifier circuit's specifications. The experiments also show that rectifier load equivalent
inductance will impact system performances, and the proposed methods have good accuracy
and robustness in the cases of system parameter variations.

Abstract

There is a rapid increase in the demand of the energy across the globe. This is because of
the explosion in the population and the evolution of the industries. Government of the various
countries across the globe is taking various initiatives to meet the demand of the growing
population. But to fulfill the demand of such a huge population by the conventional methods is
not efficient. The reason behind is that fossil fuels are limited in quantity. So, to meet the
demand various other non-conventional methods are introduced such as solar, wind,
geothermal energy etc. Out of all the above-mentioned methods solar energy could be the
best option for the future world. This paper therefore discusses about the recent
advancements in the field of solar energy and its future scope.

Variable Shunt Reactors for Reactive Power Compensation of HV

Subsea Cables
Santosh Khare
Associate Professor
Department of Electrical Engineering
Rajshree Institute of Management and Technology, Bareilly
Abstract
This paper presents an application of 230 kV Variable Shunt Reactors (VSR) used to
compensate reactive power of dual 90 KM subsea cables. VSR integrates an on-load tap
changer (OLTC) that adjusts reactive power compensation to maintain acceptable bus
voltages under variable load profile and network configuration. An automatic voltage regulator
(AVR) or a power management system (PMS) that allows VSR rating to be changed in discrete
steps typically controls the OLTC. Typical regulation range start as minimum as 20% up to
100% and are available for systems up to 550kV. The regulation speed is normally in the order
of seconds per step and approximately a minute from maximum to minimum rating. VSR can
be bus or line connected depending on line/cable length and compensation requirements. The
flexible reactive compensation ranges achieved by recent VSR technologies have enabled
newer facilities design to deploy line connected VSR through either disconnect switches,
which saves space and cost, or through circuit breakers. Lines with VSR are typically
energized with lower taps (reduced reactive compensation) to minimize or remove the
presence of delayed zero crossing.

ABSTRACT
The prior studies reflected that eWOM has significant positive impact on different
marketing outcomes but study of impact of eWOM on online purchase intention is
comparatively a less explored area. Prior research has demonstrated a strong influence
of eWOM on consumers. However, it is not known whether individuals react differently to
eWOM when it concerns branded products rather than unbranded products. This paper
therefore examines the impact of branded and unbranded electronic products on
consumers’ reaction towards positive and negative eWOM.
The study is conducted to highlight the customer preference of branded and unbranded
electronic products by reviewing eWOM patterns online in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
region. The current study is limited to the sample frame of 150 customers who purchased
electronic products online.
The study depicts that both the perception level as well as behavioural level show that
eWOM has a stronger influence on purchase intention for unbranded electronic products
as compared to branded electronic products. At a perception level negative messages
are seen as more negative when concerning branded electronic products rather than
unbranded electronic products. Thus the role of eWOM in selecting branded and
unbranded electronic products in online context is examined in the paper.

Abstract
The study examines the relationship between the determinants of bank-specific factors
and macro-economic factors with Non-Performing Loans (NPL). Moreover, the study
assesses the impact of those determinants on non-performing loans and the impact of
non-performing loans on Profitability of Bhutan National Bank Limited (BNBL) over nine
years (2010-2018). The study adopted a descriptive research design and secondary data
generated from the bank annual reports, the National Accounts Statistics 2019 and the
Statistical yearbook (National Statistics Bureau-2013-2019). Statistical tools like
correlation and regression analysis are used to analyze the data. The findings revealed
a significant positive relationship between non-performing loans and credit deposit and
capital adequacy ratios. However, macro determinants such as GDP growth rate and
unemployment rate have a statistically negative relationship, and inflation has a positive
relationship with non-performing loans.
Generally, the macro determinants do not impact non-performing loans, unlike the bank-
specific factors. The bank-specific factors such as net interest margin and return on
assets have a positive relationship and not significant impact on non-performing loans.
The findings from this study conclude that there is a significant impact of non-performing
loans on the profitability of BNBL. The key determinants of non-performing loans are the
Credit to deposit ratio and Capital Adequacy Ratio.

Gita’s Perspectives on Human Resource Development

Ramanathan Srinivasan
Former Dean-CARE Group of Institutions, Trichy, Tamilnadu
ABSTRACT
The philosophy of Bhagavad- Gita had a great impact on people around the world. The
thoughts of Gita encourage people to find the real purpose of their existence, actions,
and outcomes (karma and result or phala). The Bhagavad- Gita portrays individuals as
multi-potential divine creatures seeking direction and a role in the web of life. It
also teaches various lessons for those, who are involved in management. The Bhagavad-
Gita's philosophy directs how to accomplish the objective of giving meaning and purpose
to what workers do at work, which has become an important consideration in employees'
choice to work for the best firms. A Successful manager can manage their businesses in
such a way that their people can truly satisfy their needs and find the purpose and
meaning in their job assignment. The Gita, on the other hand, aims to guide directly in the
numerous roles played by the individuals within their life span, their responsibility as
managers. Managers can derive a precise inspiration from the Bhagavad- Gita for
obtaining and using information in all of their duties, since it places a value on knowledge.
The Bhagavad- Gita is astonishingly relevant in its perspective to human resource
management, owing to the rise of the knowledge-based economy, which focuses on
modern management during work performance within the businesses. Thus, the
Bhagavad- Gita performs an excellent job of translating their message into practical
application by presenting an expanded business model that promotes a positive work
culture.

Abstract
All face-to-face learning processes are being replaced with online learning in order to
reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. In an online learning environment, student
satisfaction is essential. Online interaction and acceptance of technology are required for
online learning. Online interaction includes learner-content interaction, learner-instructor
interaction, and learner-learner interaction. The two factors of the technology acceptance
model (TAM). describe technology acceptance The two factors are perceived usefulness
and perceived ease of use.
As a result, the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of online interaction
types and technology acceptance factors on student satisfaction with online learning. The
research approach employed was a quantitative one in which online questionnaires were
sent. This study found that all three types of online interaction have a favorable effect on
student satisfaction with online learning. According to this study students' satisfaction with
online learning is influenced by two factors of technology acceptance. This study
discovered that the length of time spent learning online has a different impact on student
satisfaction. Overall, the findings of this study show that in online learning, material,
communication with the instructor, and other students have an impact on student
satisfaction. Furthermore, because more material is received the longer online learning
takes, students are happier with their learning. Furthermore, students' perspectives on a
communication platform might aid and facilitate online learning for students.

Abstract
In any country, societal progress is uniquely associated with economic growth which is
measure and shown by different economic indicators. However, most of the economic
indicators do not count environmental and social costs. It is important to think about at
what cost, we are progressing and what we are going to offer for future generations.
Public and regulatory pressure to address the challenges is growing along with focus on
to fulfill the requirements of human being in sustainable way. In this relation, sustainable
innovation is clearly an opportunity for manufacturing industries to rethink about their
business models. It is also related to the three domains: “society”, “environment” and
“economy”, or we can say “People-Planet-Profit”. That’s why companies started to think
about sustainable innovation and sustainable products, technologies, processes, and
business models. However, it is not an easy task, but early movers can develop
competencies if they start their journey toward sustainability. In fact, sustainability makes
an extremely interesting context for innovation and these two concepts complement each
other perfectly. In today’s world, innovation, sustainability is considered as main elements
for long-term success. The primary focus of this research paper is to assess of the present

Effect of Inflation in India after covid-19

Shalabh Saxena
Assistant Professor
Rajshree Institute of Management & Technology, Bareilly
Abstract
People in India are very upset due to rising inflation and falling jobs and income. Even
after this, economists believe that the government does not have much scope to give
relief in the current year budget. The rising cost of goods and services has an impact on
the cost of living, which is a huge burden on the shoulders of the common man. While
measuring inflation rate, we calculate the economic condition of a country. The indicators
to measure inflation are the Wholesale Price Index and the Consumer Price Index
respectively.
India's retail inflation rose to 6.01% in January 2022, well above the Reserve Bank of
India's (RBI) estimate. Inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), stood
at 5.66 per cent in December 2021 and 4.06 per cent in January 2021. The prices of daily
consumables like tea, edible oil, pulses have increased by 20%-40% since the start of the
COVID-19 pandemic. There has been a huge increase in food inflation. Food inflation has
increased to 5.43 per cent during the period under review as against 4.05 per cent
recorded in December 2021. According to data released by the statistics ministry on
Monday, prices of cereals, eggs and milk products increased in January 2022 compared
to December 2021, leading to an increase in retail inflation.

Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das believes that inflation is now on a
descending trend. Governor said the central bank would continue to strike a fair balance
between inflation and economic development. Governor said the Reserve Bank's inflation
forecast is "strong" but is trending downwards. Though, there would be a possibility to
increase the global crude oil prices. Governor said that the Reserve Bank considers a
certain range of unpredictability in crude oil prices before considering an opinion. If
something happens that you are not already aware of, you know. Crude oil prices are one
of the variables driving to an upside risk of inflation."

Abstract
A series of epoxy nanocomposites (ENCs) were fabricated through reinforcing various
carbonaceous fillers (CFs, 3wt%) into epoxy resin followed by curing with polyamine
hardener. For this purpose, nano graphite (NG), pine needle cone derived biochar
(BC), and related graphene oxide (GO) were used as fillers. Test specimens were
fabricated and investigated for their tensile (ASTM D 638-02a), compressive (ASTM
D 695-02a) and dynamic mechanical (ASTM E1820-01) behavior with reference to
cure epoxy. Study reveals that ENCs derived from GO exhibited maximum tensile
strength (84.75MPa) as compared to the other NG and BC derived analogues. ENCs
derived through reinforcing NG has exhibited maximum elastic modulus (1307.72
MPa) in compared to their GO and BC derived analogues. ENCs derived through
reinforcing BC have exhibited maximum compressive strength (46.93 MPa) and
modulus (102.98 MPa) as compared to their GR and GO analogues. Dynamic
mechanical analysis reveals moderate shift in glass transition temperature (Tg, oC) of
ENCs derived from GO (77.73) and NG (81.75) ranging to over cured epoxy (66.67).
However, reinforcing BC into epoxy has raised the Tg of ENCs to 95.46 oC.

Abstract
Noteworthy advancements are seen in developing the earth-air heat exchanger
(EAHE) models in the past several decades to reduce building energy consumption.
However, it is still an ongoing challenge in selecting and implementing the most
suitable and appropriate EAHE modelling technique in buildings based on the
climates, performance, and limitations of the techniques. Therefore, this paper aims
to review the published research related to the physical, and hybrid EAHE modelling
techniques used in buildings, and highlight the prospects, benefits, progress, and
challenges of these techniques. This is the first study that comprehensively evidences
the prospects and technical challenges caused by unmeasured disturbances,
assumptions, or the uncertainties generated in experimental and numerical works of
all EAHE modelling techniques. Nevertheless, this study found that hybrid modelling
is more effective than physical models for accurate prediction. On the contrary, the
hybrid models suffer from high complexity if EAHE operating conditions and all key
parameters are considered during the model development. Regarding the
generalization capability, the physical models offer improved performance followed by
the hybrid models. A minimum number of training data is needed for developing
physical models, whereas medium training data is required for the hybrid models. The
outcome of this study also provides valuable information regarding the physical and
hybrid EAHE modelling techniques to the scientists, researchers, and so on in
adopting the most appropriate EAHE modelling technique for their climates.

Abstract
Biodegradable polymers can potentially be combined with natural fibers to produce
biodegradable composite materials. In this work, PLA (Poly lactic Acid) was used in
combination with Jute fabric to generate bio-composite by compression molding
technique. Various mechanical characterizations like tensile, flexural and impact
properties of bio- composite were determined. The result from mechanical testing
showed that use of Jute fabric with PLA, increases the tensile strength and tensile
modulus, why the flexural modulus is reduced. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM)
investigation also showed good bonding between the Jute fabric and PLA as there
were no air voids. Water absorption results reported increase in weight of the bio-
composite for 24 hrs conditioned time. The findings of this work create the scope of
use of the Jute fiber/ fabric for making fully biodegradable composites for potential
application as architectural interiors in building construction sector. The developed
composites were also used as the replacement for mica sheets for the table top,
chairs, door panels and many more.

ABSTRACT
In those days, Biofuel has attracted the attention of people and researchers very fast,
due to increase in population; the demand for energy sources has increased a lot. The
demand for energy is fulfilled by petroleum in large quantities, but we all know that
petroleum is a non-renewable source of energy, which will be completely exhausted
from the earth very soon. The emission caused by the burning of petroleum always
poses a threat to the greenhouse effect on the earth, as well as the price of petroleum
is increasing day by day, due to which the burden on the common man is increasing.
There is a need to find new sources of renewable energy, but so that our dependence
on non-renewable energy works. Renewable sources of energy include solar energy,
hydraulic energy, and wind energy as a good solution to meet our power shortage. But
in the automobile sector, our dependence on petroleum remains as such because
petroleum can be stored in small tanks and petroleum can be easily converted from
chemical energy to heat energy by burning it. In order to reduce the dependence on
petroleum in the automobile sector, electrical vehicles are being introduced very
rapidly in the market. But I think electrical vehicle is not a complete solution as there
is a need for charging in electrical vehicle and in a country like India where mobile
charging point is very difficult to find in public place, charging an electrical vehicle there
in a public place seems just like a fantasy. We can reduce our dependence on
petroleum by using biofuel in the automobile sector. India is the fifth energy consumer
country in the world and India requires one million barrels per day of petroleum.
Biofuels are fuels which are extracts from biomass by different method. Ethyl alcohol
is considered a good biofuel which is made from the biomass of sugarcane, and
sugarcane is cultivated in large quantities in India which makes it easy to produce ethyl
alcohol in India. The sugar industry, which is running in huge losses, if we use this
industry in the production of ethyl alcohol, then farmers will also benefit a lot from it. In
this paper, we will see how ethyl alcohol can be used instead of petroleum in the
automobile sector. We will discuss the properties of ethyl alcohol, its emissions,
thermal efficiency of ethyl alcohol, and performance of vehicle engine with ethyl
alcohol. We will also try to find out how to improve engine performance with ethyl
alcohol in this article. In countries like America, ethyl alcohol is being used in flex
engines by blending it with petroleum; we will try to improve the process of ethanol
blending. This paper discusses about the use of flex engine in motor vehicle and
government interest.

Abstract
Electro discharge machining (EDM) is a machining method that is usually used to
produce objects out of hard metals or things that cannot be made any other way.
As a result, one of the most important non-traditional machining methods is electro
discharge machining. It is used to cut difficult-to-cut materials such as composites
and intermetallic materials. This is analogous to an electrical short that burns a
small hole in the metal that it comes into contact with. The spark erosion in EDM is
the same piece. Both the work piece material and the electrode material must be
able to conduct electricity in order for the EDM process to work. EDM allows you to
create complex profiles utilized in prosthetics and other biomedical applications,
such as a heart valve. Electro discharge machining can also be used to create
complex forms, small holes with high precision and high-strength metals that can
endure high temperatures. This study examines some of the most innovative work
in the field of EDM. It also allows the EDM to expand in the future work.

Abstract
Energy savings are a critical part of today's scenario. Earth Air Heat Exchangers
(EAHE) is a system that encourages energy savings. EAHE is a nonconventional
technique that uses underground earth heat to cool / heat area. This article presents
a study of the different combinations of EAHEs. The analysis provides an
apprehensible overview of the previous work on EAHE. The study provides a detailed
description of the theoretical and experimental experiments on the different
combination of EAHE and analyzes the effects of thermal efficiency. It also recognizes
the environmental aspect of energy savings. Over the last three to four decades, a
number of studies have been performed by numerous authors in the architecture,
simulation and testing of earth air tunnel heat exchanger (EATHE) systems. It is
concluded from the summary that the design parameters directly or inversely affect
the temperature of the outlet. The result also shows that pipe materials do not have
much influence on the temperature of the outlet. In the case of energy savings, EAHE
equipment generates more resources that can kill traditional air conditioning systems.
Its technique can therefore effectively reduce greenhouse gases and improve the
environment.

Abstract
Designing of turbine governing system is based on power generated by turbine at
same speed of shaft. Due to fluctuation in power generation from its designed value ,
governor not able to maintain its speed & plant operation becomes unreliable to the
operators. So the maintenance of any governing system is a tedious job and requires
very wise full decisions for its component overhauling and replacement, it also requires
depth practical knowledge and equipment behavior. Shutdown is very costly for any
plant after one start up of plant, taking a shutdown is very costly affair to afford huge
cost of loss of primary content for a big process industry due to a very minute problem.
And after observing any problem in the system, it is not easy task to identify the correct
cause of the problem because there are so many the parameters linked with each
other. Problem of hunting of control valves and hunting of speed is faced by many
industries in the past years and now they have sufficient knowledge about it but high
vibration in the servo motor and servo cylinders is new type for the plants. High
Vibration level of 70-110 mm/s is sufficient to break any joint of the lube/hydraulic oils
and final cause of the turbine trip.

Abstract:
3D Printing is a layered manufacturing process that builds prototypes by depositing
material in layered form using heaters. Prototypes made by 3D Printing are widely
used in product development as they can be used for product testing. Dimensional
accuracy is a major requirement in 3D printing for application. The material gets
solidified during the layer deposition and this change from semi solid-to-solid leads to
shrinkage, resulting in shape inaccuracy. This paper attempts to study the effect of
process parameters, namely Layer Thickness, Nozzle Diameter, Length, and Part Bed
Temperature, on dimensional accuracy. Single variable experiments have been
performed to understand the significance of process variables affecting dimensional
accuracy. Second order quadric model of response surface methodology was used to
reduce the no of experiments. Main effect plots have been drawn for length, width and
height to study the effect of process parameters. It has been observed that for
shrinkage along the length, length of part, layer thickness and nozzle diameter
significantly affects the shrinkage. The shrinkage decreases with increase in layer
thickness. Shrinkage increases with an increase in length of the parts. Shrinkage
increases with increase in nozzle diameter.

Abstract:
Lawsonia inermis L. (Lawsone) was reported to contain carbohydrates, proteins,
flavonoids and phenolic compounds, alkaloids, terpenoids. The plant has also been
reported to have hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antifungal and
anticancer properties. Lawsone has low bioavailability because it is less soluble in
water and it is rapidly eliminated from body. The aim of this study was to prepare and
evaluate the Planterosome containing lawsone. The Planterosome (P1 – P4)
containing different molar ratios (1:1, 1:2, 2:1 and 2:2) of lawsone and soya lecithin
were prepared by the antisolvent precipitation technique. The Planterosome were
evaluated for % yield, particle size analysis, % EE and characterized by FTIR, DSC
and SEM. Antifungal activity of Planterosome of lawsone was evaluated on Candida
albicans (NCIM 3471) fungi by using ketoconazole as standard drug. The in-vitro
permeation study was carried out on rat skin. The anti-inflammatory activity was
evaluated in male wistar rats.
The Planterosome of lawsone P1 and P2 showed better % yield, drug content, particle
size and entrapment efficiency as compared to other Planterosome P3 and P4. The
infra-red (FT-IR) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) studies of Planterosome
of lawsone revealed that there was no interaction between the plant drug and
phospholipids. SEM data showed that Planterosome of lawsone P1 has irregular size
vesicles consisting of soya lecithin and it was found to be intercalated in the lipid layer.
Antifungal activity of Planterosome P1 (1:1) showed the better zone of inhibition as
compared to Planterosome P2 (1:2), drug lawsone and standard drug ketoconazole
after 3 days. In-vitro permeation study of Planterosome gel of lawsone (PG) through
excised rat skin showed 92.91% of drug permeation up to 6 h. The anti-inflammatory
activity of gel of Planterosome of lawsone showed significant anti-inflammatory activity
as compared to gel of drug lawsone at 4 h (P < 0.001).

Abstract
A pilot study was performed to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice regarding
Diabetes Mellitus among general population of Bareilly region. This study was
conducted as a public based cross-sectional study within Bareilly region. A previously
published validated questionnaire about knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP)
toward diabetes mellitus (DM) was translated in Hindi and used in this study with very
minor modification to be suitable for this study of the Bareilly region. A total of 52
participants were recruited in the present study. About half of the participants (58.7%)
had good knowledge scores. The respondents’ knowledge scores were significantly
correlated with attitudes (p < 0.001). The education level (university or higher) and
education related to a field were predictors for good knowledge and positive attitudes.
About 49.6% of participants had positive attitudes toward the disease. As for practices,
38.1% of participants did not engage in regular exercise while more than half of the
study subjects had never checked their blood glucose level on an annual basis. The
factors influencing the practice of checking blood glucose level have been
investigated. This study has highlighted the need for more educational interventions
to address negative attitudes and promote healthy lifestyle practices and regular
health checks especially in certain subgroups of patients, such as those not having a
degree related to the medical field and not having a first-degree relative with DM.

Beyond the toxicity: Impact on Human Health and environment

Abstract
Research and teaching in environmental health have centered on the hazardous
effects of various environmental exposures, such as toxic chemicals, radiation, and
biological and physical agents. However, some kinds of environmental exposures may
have positive health effects. According to E.O. Wilson’s “biophilia” hypothesis, humans
are innately attracted to other living organisms. Later authors have expanded this
concept to suggest that humans have an innate bond with nature more generally. This
implies that certain kinds of contact with the natural world may benefit health. Evidence
supporting this hypothesis is presented from four aspects of the natural world: animals,
plants, landscapes, and wilderness. Finally, the implications of this hypothesis for a
broader agenda for environmental health, encompassing not only toxic outcomes but
also salutary ones, are discussed.the healthcare centers of the developing world have
faced financial difficulties and therefore looking for cost effective disposal methods of
clinical waste. This paper emphasizes to continue the recycle-reuse program of CSW
materials after sterilization by using supercritical fluid carbon dioxide (SF-CO2)
sterilization technology at the point of initial collection. Emphasis is on the priority to
inactivate the infectious micro-organisms in CSW. In that case, waste would not pose
any threat to healthcare workers. The recycling-reuse program would be carried out
successfully with the non-specialized clinical staffs. Therefore, the adoption of SF-
CO2 sterilization technology in management of clinical solid waste can reduce
exposure to infectious waste, decrease labor, lower costs, and yield better compliance
with regulatory. Thus healthcare facilities can both save money and provide a safe
environment for patients, healthcare staffs and clinical staffs.

Medicinal plants: In human welfare

Abstract
India has a rich tradition of plant-based knowledge on healthcare. A large number of
plants/plant extracts/decoctions or pastes are equally used by tribals and folklore
traditions in India for treatment of cuts, wounds, and burns. The present review thus
attempts to analyze the ethnobotanical knowledge base for treatment of cuts and
wounds which includes a usage of plants, methods employed by tribals and folklore
practices prevailing in India. Pharmacological reports available on Indian medicinal
plants employing various wound healing models and its underlying molecular
mechanism, wherever available, has also been briefly reviewed. This pharmacological
validation on Indian medicinal plants is very limited and a large number of plants used
in tribal and folklore with enormous potential have not been validated for their wound
healing activity. This review therefore attempts to bridge the lacunae in the existing
literature and offers immense scope for researchers engaged in validation of the
traditional claims and development of safe and effective and globally accepted herbal
drugs for cuts and wounds. This study examines the use of medicinal plants in four
indigenous groups of Mexican Indians, Maya, Nahua, Zapotec and – for comparative
purposes – Mixe. With the first three the methodology was similar, making a direct
comparison of the results possible. In these studies, the relative importance of a
medicinal plant within a culture is documented using a quantitative method. For the
analysis the uses were grouped into 9–10 categories of indigenous uses. This report
compares these data and uses the concept of informant consensus originally
developed by Trotter and Logan for analysis.

ABSTRACT
The field of transdermal drug delivery systems (TDDS) have generated extensive
interest as a preferred alternative to oral drug delivery and become an intriguing
research topic in pharmaceutical technology area with most frequently developed
pharmaceutical products in global market because these systems represents the most
attractive method due to its low rejection rate, excellent ease of administration,
avoiding hepatic first pass metabolism thus improve the bioavailability of drug, and
superb convenience and persistence among patients. TDDS contain relatively high
amounts of the API that is mainly incorporated into a polymeric matrix. Polymers used
in this type of delivery system should allow the drug to diffuse properly and provide
controlled/ sustained release through it. Polymers should have the capacity to
incorporate a large amount of the active agent, and they should also be stable,
nontoxic, inexpensive, and easily manufactured. However, the physicochemical
properties of the skin translate to multiple obstacles and restrictions in transdermal
delivery, but there are numerous investigations/ approaches developed to overcome
these bottlenecks. This current review covers the merits and shortcomings of the
various polymeric transdermal approaches, facilitation techniques, permeation and
absorption feasibility studies, as well as physicochemical properties affecting the
delivery through different transdermal modes along with examples of drugs, vaccines,
genes and other payloads.

ABSTRACT
Oral route for drug administration is considered a convenient route but various drugs
which are insoluble in water cannot permeate across gastrointestinal tract membrane.
Lipophilic drugs also have low oral bioavailability. So, to solve out this problem and
enhance the bioavailability the lipid matrix was introduced as nanostructured lipid
carriers (NLCs). Nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) are composed of both solid and
liquid lipids. These system reveals various advantages over the conventional carriers
such as solubility enhancement, improve permeability and bioavailability. It also has
ability to enhance storage stability and prolonged half- life which helps to reduce
adverse effects of drug moiety. NLCs increasing attention in tissue targeting in recent
years. Biocompatible nature of lipids is responsible for its development a promising
drug delivery. It was found that these systems showed the superior characteristics
over other lipid formulations. This article mainly focused on the different types and
methods of preparation, advantages and the application of NLCs. These are also
biologically non- toxic, non- immunogenic and compatible in nature so these are going
to be widely explored lipid nanocarrier system in the current scenario.

Natural Polymers

ABSTRACT
Pharmaceutical research and development are increasingly focusing on delivery
systems which enhance desirable therapeutic objectives while minimizing side effects.
Recent trends indicate that Multiparticulate Drug Delivery Systems (MDDS) are
gaining much favor over single- unit dosage forms because of their potential benefits
like predictable gastric emptying, least risk of dose dumping, flexible release pattern
and increased bioavailability with minimum inter- and intra- subject variability. These
systems release the drug with constant or variable release rates, thus maintaining drug
concentration within the therapeutic window for a prolonged period of time. The
desired release profile facilitates controlled absorption through the target site in the
body, ensures good therapeutic activity, and reduces side effects. The manufacturing
techniques are as spheronization and exctrusion, pelletization by solution layering,
hotmelt exctrusion, cryopelletization, freeze pelletization have been deliberated. The
plant derived gums and mucilages comply with many requirements of pharmaceutical
excipients as they are non-toxic, stable, easily available, associated with less
regulatory issues as compared to their synthetic counterpart and inexpensive; also
these can be easily modified to meet the specific need. Consequently, MDDS provide
tremendous opportunities for designing new controlled and delayed release oral
formulations, thus extending the frontier of future pharmaceutical development. The
present review outlines the transient account of all important merits, limitations, types
and application of natural polymer as drug release retardant material of MDDS.

Abstract
The current study demonstrated the validation of chronic unpredictable stress in albino
Wistar rats. 7-week CUS protocol combined with HFD resulted in significant alteration in
behavioural parameters along with significant rise in corticosterone level. Our seven-week
CUS+HFD protocol showed noticeable rise in TC, TG, VLDL and atherogenic index along with
slight decrease in LDL level as compared to the control and HFD group. H&E staining revealed
significant disruption of tunica intima layer as well as development of fatty streaks and
vacuolated foam cells larger than the other two groups. However, the data fails to reach the
significant level, therefore, it is important to note that 7-week duration of stress may act as a
limiting factor to represent the real scenario.
