INTERSUBJECTIVITY

INTERSUBJECTIVITY is a term originally coined by the philosopher


Edmund Husserl around 1859–1938.

- It is most simply stated as the interchange of thoughts and feelings, both


conscious and unconscious, between two persons or “subjects.”

- It is something that is shared between two minds.

- In intersubjectivity, there is a psychological connection. It is by


highlighting and contrasting individual personal experiences by
emphasizing the nature of social being.

The human gaze and awareness of the "self in the other" are
important elements in interpersonal interactions. Our behavior
is often influenced by our ideals of how others see us, and this is
known as seeming. However, people can also act out characters
to deceive or manipulate others, such as being a "plastic" and
"sipsip".

Dialogue
When two individuals begin to view each other as an other - that is, truly
acknowledging each other's presence - then that is the beginning of an
authentic relationship and a dialogue.
A person transmits a personal interiority to another person every time
they talk, expressing this aspect of themselves.
Dialogue is not confined to words.

especially the vulnerable ; obligation to respond to the
needs of other people.

Direction: In this activity, you will apply what you have learned
regarding Intersubjectivity. You will be grouped with three
members, according to your liking. You and your groupmates are
tasked to interchange your thoughts about the topic of
Intersubjectivity using a mind map. The mind map should have at
least 3 to 5 thoughts with 1-3 words and a short explanation of how
is the word/s you chose is connected with the topic.
