1 Teenage Relationships

Check the column AGREE if you can relate to and connect with the specific descriptions under each of the
major categories and DISAGREE if you cannot relate.

A. Parents and Family
1. They are integral part of my daily life.
2. I can always communicate with them.
3. I feel close to my parents.

B. Friendship and Peers

had the most statements you disagreed with? What do your responses tell you about yourself and how you
relate to others?
2. What significant insight or learning can you derive from the activity? How will you apply this as an
adolescent?

Note: Form groups of three to five members and share your answers to these questions. Your teacher may
have additional instructions for you.
Activity 9.2 Adolescents’ Expression, Love, and Commitment

Write in column 2 your descriptions of how adolescents like you express or manifest the concepts in column
1. You may include both acceptable and unacceptable ways of expressing as perceived by you.

Answer the following questions on your journal.

1. How do you feel about expressing attraction, love, and commitment? What specific expressions are
common among members of your group? What do you think is the implication of these expressions on
you as adolescents?
2. How could you strengthen the acceptable expressions? How could you correct the unacceptable
expressions done by adolescents?
3. What significant insight or learning can you derive from the activity? How will you apply this in your
life?
