Narrative Report Clean Up Drive

1) The BS Biology Department at First City Providential College conducted a clean up drive around the campus to promote environmental awareness. 2) The event was spearheaded by Mrs. Adona Franco and saw Biology students and faculty cleaning littered areas, sweeping streets, and removing trash. 3) An evaluation found the event successful in promoting cleanliness and sustainability, and recommendations were made to create more environmental initiatives and raise student awareness of responsible garbage disposal.

I. Nature of the Activity


Name: Clean Up Drive
Venue: Vicinity of FCPC Campus
Time: 1:30pm
Objectives
1. To secure a clean environment, pollution-free surroundings, promoting and adapting
an environmental friendly school.
2. To engage students in cleanliness and increase their environmental awareness.
3. To enhance student collaboration in ensuring cleanliness and the school’s
sustainability.
4. To engage school in long-term environmental initiatives.
5. To eradicate possible diseases students can get in dirty environments.

II. Proceedings

A clean surrounding could give rise to a productive and healthy environment for everyone.
Cleanliness drive projects is a community-wide program that makes participants dedicate themselves to
community services for the benefit of society. This is vital to attain the school's environmental
sustainability and promote cleanliness within the school premises.

In relation to this, BS Biology Department conducted a clean up drive which is spearheaded by


Mrs. Adona Franco. At the beginning of the said activity, cleaning materials are prepared which includes
broom, dustpan, and garbage bags. Then, littered areas around campus is cleaned by area. Cleanup
activity includes sweeping the streets, plucking grasses, picking up litters and waste near the streets.
Abandoned and littered area are also cleaned by BS Biology Department. Participants are Biology
students and Biology Faculty.

III. Evaluation
The event evaluation was conducted through informal discussions within BS Biology Department.
Further, suggestions and recommendations were shared and reflected in the forum which will be used to properly
debrief the event, as well as improve events in the future.

IV. Recommendations
Suggestions and recommendations include creating more environmental initiatives activities at school that
can help nature. Recommendations included to raise awareness to student to be responsible in garbage and to take
care the environment and their surrounding faithfully.
