College Training and Placement System Synopsis

The system focuses on automating the conventional college training and placement management system. It provides students with a portal to update their personal and educational information, upload resumes, access company requirements and placement materials. Companies can also access the portal to shortlist eligible students based on their criteria. The system aims to reduce manual work and paperwork for staff while helping students and companies manage the placement process. It has modules for students to manage their profiles and applications and for staff to organize company details, student records, mailers and the placement calendar. The system is designed to run on Windows using WAMP server and will help streamline training and placement activities.

College Training and Placement System

The system focuses on automation of conventional training and


placement management system. This system can be used as an
application for the Training & Placement Officers in the college
to manage the student information with regard to placement
and providing assistance using the assistance portal where
students can post their query to the TPO and coordinators. Providing
Student login helping them to update their personal and educational
information in a form which will be added to the database and upload
a resume and providing them with preparation materials for
placements. An additional feature of the portal is a Company Tab
which will be providing assistance to the companies to shortlist the
students as per their eligibility criteria. It reduces the manual work
and consumes less paperwork to reduce the time.

Modules:
1. Student:
This module consists of a login option and registration window for
unregistered students. Student will use their choice of username
and a proper specified length password. The functionalities
provided in this module consist of:
a. It helps students to update their details anytime.
b. The students would be able to view the company requirement.
c. Students will be provided with a link to apply for the company if
applicable.
d. Previous years placement paper and material is also provided.
e. Student can see the complete profile of the company. Such as
requirement procedure, history, CTC offer and the working
environment.
f. Upload their resume on portal.
2. Admin (T & P Officer):

a. Add company Details.


b. Provides authentication for registered students.
c. Update company data.
d. Access all registered student’s information according to
branch as well as technical skill.
e. Sends mails to students and companies about placement
drive.
f. Sort out the students according to company requirement.
g. Manage placement calendar.
h. Display the subsidies information regarding start-ups.
i. Manage the details of placed students according to academic
years as well as company.
j. Manage the attendance of students to each drive.

Project Lifecycle:

Description
The waterfall Model is a linear sequential flow. In which
progress is seen as flowing steadily downwards (like a waterfall)
through the phases of software implementation. This means that any
phase in the development process begins only if the previous phase is
complete. The waterfall approach does not define the process to go
back to the previous phase to handle changes in requirement. The
waterfall approach is the earliest approach that was used for software
development.

 i3 Processor Based Computer or higher


 Memory: 1 GB
 Hard Drive: 50 GB
 Monitor
 Internet Connection

 Software Requirement:

 Windows 7 or higher
 WAMP Server
 Notepad++
 My SQL 5.6
 Google Chrome Browser

 Advantages
 Easy to get work.
 Easy to manage placement activities.

 Limitation
 It needs active internet.

 Application
 This system can be used by the multiple peoples for the
training and placement activities.
