Work to be carried out during service visit for VCB’s.

The scope of work includes following for the portion marked in panel in fig (1):

A. VACUUM CIRCUIT BREAKER

1) Visual Inspection of Breaker.


2) Thorough Cleaning of the Breaker.
3) Lubrication of all Moving Parts of Mechanism.
4) Oiling of Closing & Tripping Coil.
5) Checking of Gear Box Operation.
6) Checking of Test/Service Aux.Switch
Operation.
7) Checking of Tripping Mechanism Operation.
8) Breaker Aux. Switch Operation.
9) Spring Charging Limit Switch Operation.
10) Checking of Front Drive Key Operation In
Test Position.
11) Front Drive Key Operation in Service Position. Fig(1)- MV VCB panel
12) Checking of vacuum Interrupter.
13) Checking of contact arm assembly and complete
cleaning of contact surface.
14) Reconditioning and refurbishment of interconnection
Joints, if reqd.
15) Checking of all circlips & lock washers of VCB.
16) Checking of Breaker ON/OFF Operation manually &
electrically.
17) Checking of Closing Time.
18) Checking of Tripping Time.
19) Checking of Contact Resistance.
20) Insulation Resistance Checking of VCB /VC. Fig(2)- MV VCB Trolley
21) Measurement of Roller Gap.
22) Measurement of Stroke length.
23) Damping gap should not be ZERO.
24) Check nut of SHOCK absorber should not be loose and check for oil leakage.
