Introduction
EDU 2.0 is a beautiful, modern, easy-to-use LMS that makes it simple to deliver online
education. Our e-learning platform is cloud-hosted so there is nothing to download or install,
and has many features that would typically require several products to be purchased and
integrated.
Our user interface is elegant and intuitive, which keeps users happy and engaged, and
makes the whole experience of using the site more productive and enjoyable. Beyond all
these aspects, the main advantage of EDU 2.0 is that we provide a reliable, secure, and
comprehensive LMS at a cost that’s typically 50% of our closest competitors.
The company was founded in 2006 by Graham Glass, the CEO of EDU 2.0 and a serial
entrepreneur with a track record of innovation. Graham used to teach Computer Science at
the University of Texas at Dallas, so deep familiarity with the features that teachers and
students need is in our company DNA.

EDU 2.0 is comprised of two companies: EDU 2.0 for School (www.edu20.org), which
focuses on schools and accredited universities,

to deliver online training, and/or generate revenue by selling their courses.

Cloud-Hosted
Our LMS is hosted in the Amazon cloud, and the system is designed with built-in
redundancy to ensure a 99.99% uptime and zero document loss. We monitor our LMS
system continuously and if there's an issue or critical bug, we fix it immediately.

Beautiful user interface

Our user interface is beautiful, elegant, and very easy-to-use, which keeps users happy
and engaged.

Customizable
Our LMS is highly customizable, with options for configuring your logo, URL, portal
pictures, and menu structure. You can even customize the site terminology and use our
built-in color picker to create your own color scheme. We also support custom CSS and
custom HTML for deep web customization.

Classes
We offer support for instructor-led, blended, and self-paced classes. You can display
your current classes via a dropdown menu, with shortcuts to the gradebook. You can teach
multiple sections of a class, and use our unique class sync feature to pushes changes from
the master copy of a class to the others. Save classes into the library as templates for reuse.
We also offer support for co-teachers and time-based student deactivation. Students can be
enrolled via file import, the student roster, email, API, or you can enable self-enrollment via
access codes.

Classes

Content authoring and navigation

Our content authoring tools allow you to create rich, engaging lessons without any
technical knowledge. Upload and embed any type of media, including audio, video, office
documents, and Google Docs. You can reorder your lessons and their sections using drag
and drop, and go through sections in a lesson using our simple built-in navigation. You can
track lesson progress and time spent in each lesson using the dashboard and rich analytics.

Assessment

There are nine different kinds of assessments - quizzes, freeform, survey, offline,
debate, dropbox, discussion, team, SCORM, and attendance. Personalized assignments can
be given to a specific group of students. You can specify the maximum number of
submissions and whether late submissions are allowed, with overrides on a per-student
basis. We have in-place grading for rapid turnaround, and a broad selection of grading
evaluating options, including nested grading periods, categories, and extra credit
assignments.

Gradebook
Our gradebook is fully-featured and high-performance with fill, import, and undo
options. It also has a full-screen mode and configurable display options, including ordering of
students and assignments. The gradebook includes pop-up analytics, where you can see the
progress of your students through the assignments. You can also export grades via a CSV
file or API.

Collaboration
Our LMS has built-in support for wikis, blogs, chat rooms, groups, and forums. These
collaboration tools can be used privately in a class or within a group whose members span
classes. Teachers can enable or disable these options on a per-class basis. Our chat room
transcripts are persistent so you can reference a conversation at a later time.

Curricula and Proficiencies

Create your own curricula using our curriculum builder, or use the preloaded US
common core standards. You can share the curricula using our resources library. Align
content and assessments with proficiencies in a curriculum, then view a coverage analysis
to see how well your class covers the curriculum. You can track student progress on a
proficiency basis and get a detailed view of how students are understanding the concepts.

District/Campus support
Individual schools can be connected into a district/campus and administered by using a
single district administrator account. You can share your resources at the district level via
our resources library. It is also possible to cross-enroll and cross-teach between schools.

Dashboards

We provide dashboards for administrators, teachers, and students that have a

single-page view of the most important data. For example, the student dashboard includes
tiles for each class that show the class picture, progress bar, pie chart of their grades, and
current overall grade. The administrator dashboard displays tiles for important topics such
as enrollments, resources, and accounts.

Course catalog

You can organize classes into a text-based or graphical catalog. Group classes by
category, and order classes alphabetically, or using drag and drop. You can associate
pictures and optional descriptions with each category, and you can publish the catalog to
your portal for access by visitors. If e-commerce is enabled, you can sell classes directly
from the catalog.

Analytics and Reporting

Create reports and charts of interesting data such as assignment grades, lesson
progress, proficiency coverage, missing work, student activity, course status, completion
status, and resource usage. This data is also available via our API for use by third-party
reporting packages.

E-Commerce
Associate a class with a price, then allow students to browse classes in the class
catalog and purchase them using a credit card or Paypal. You can track e-commerce activity
in your administration dashboard. Our shopping cart supports multiple discount codes and
multiple currencies, with Authorize.net or Paypal as the payment gateway.

Edu 2.0 costs significantly less than our competitors because we leverage the latest
cloud technologies to reduce our costs and pass these savings onto our customers. We
provide a free plan and three premium plans that cater to varying budgets:
