ZAPI Flash Program

Programming Slave:

Insure that parking brake is set before starting


Plug in adapter cable in plug “B” of the Master controller
Plug the other end into COM1 of your laptop computer
Insure that the selector switch of the adapter is set to “FLASH”
Start the Zp Win Flasher program
Select “SECLECT DEVICE” menu
Select “SELECT” from menu
Select device type “MASTER_SLAVE AC”
Select “OK”
Select “SLAVE” radial button for Master_Slave selection lower right corner
Select “CONFIGURATION” menu
Select “Com Port 1” Then highlight Baud rate and type in “28800 bps”
Select “OK”
Select “ACTION” menu
Select “LOAD FILE” from menu
Insure that “START ADDRESS” is “0000”
Select “OK”
Select folder where the programs are stored
Select Program “Slave_ckxxx.h86” (xxx = revision level number of software)
Information box will pop up “HEXADECIMAL FILE OK” select “OK”
Select “CONNECTION” menu
Select “START” from menu
Warning box “Please switch on controller, then click OK”
Start the truck (turn the key switch on).
Select “OK”
Connection Status: will say, “CONNECTED”
Select “ACTION” menu
Select “ERASE DEVICE” from menu
Confirm command box will pop up (DO YOU WANT TO ERASE MASTER SLAVE
AC?) Select “OK”
Information box will pop up “Device erased!” Select “OK”
Select “WRITE” menu
Confirm command box will pop up (DO YOU WANT TO PROGRAM MASTER
SLAVE AC WITH Slave_ckxxx.h86?) Select “OK”
Program will start loading, showing progress and verification of program
Information box will pop up “FLASH VERIFY OK! Select “OK”
Select “CONNECTION” menu
Select “STOP” from menu
Select “ACTION” menu
Select “Exit Program” from menu
Turn truck key switch off
Unplug Battery and let truck set for Approx. 2 Minutes.
Plug battery Back in.

Insure that selector switch is set to PC


Start Zapi “Pc Console” program
Select the “Configuration” menu
Select “Com Port” from menu
Select “ComPort1” then select “9600 bps”
Select OK
Start the truck (turn the key switch on).
Select the “START” button on the right-hand side
Connection status should say “Connected”
Connected to: DA2S2KC CK#.##
Select “CONFIGURATION” menu
Select “PASSWORD” from menu
Type in “CLARKAC” for the password
Select “OK”

Clear EEPROM
Select “FUNCTION” menu
Select “EEPROM Function” from menu
Select “Clear Eeprom” button
Clear EEPROM box will pop up (Do you really want to clear EEPROM?)
Select “OK”
Warning box will pop up (KEY OFF THE CHOPPER AND START CONNECTION
AGAIN, PLEASE), Turn truck key off
Select “OK”
Program will say, “EEPROM CLEARED”
Select “STOP” button
Select “Close”
Select “FILE” Menu
Select “EXIT” from menu
Unplug battery for Approx. 2 Minutes
Plug battery back in
