Sensor
- A device that detects and responds to some type of input from the physical
environment.
- The input can be light, heat, motion, moisture, pressure, or any number of
other environmental phenomena.
- Sensors can affect the movement and behavior of the robot by sending
input data from the environment to the microprocessors.

Parts of the Land Raider:
Encoder Motor – Used to control the rotational speed of a wheel based on a
value written in a program
Plate 0324-88 – Used to support the back side of the Land Raider.
Plate 135 – Used to support the front side of the land raider tracks.
Beam 0824-112 – Used to secure back and front sides of both tracks.
Plastic Gear Wheel – used to move over the track.
Plate T-Type 1 – used to hold the battery box.
Battery Box Plate – Used to keep batteries in places safely and securely.
Batteries – Use to supply power to the robot.
Bracket 3x3 – Used to keep the ultrasonic sensor in place at the front of the
Land Raider.
Plate T-Type 2 – Used to secure the Battery box and supports the Me Auriga
board.
Beam 0824-048 – Used to keep the Line Follower Sensor in place at the
bottom front side of the robot.
Line Follower sensor – Used to detect the color of a line.
Ultrasonic Sensor – Used to measure the distance of nearby objects in front of
the robots.
Me Auriga Board – Serves as the brain of the Land Raider and Responsible for
processing input and sends output data.
Track – Used to allow Land Raider to navigate even on rough terrain and
slippery surfaces.
Nut M4 – Used to lock screws.
M4x10 Screw – used to fasten most of the Land Raider together.
M2.5 x 12 Screw – Used to attach each wheel gear to the encoder motor.
M4 x 14 – Used to secure the placement of brass studs.
Brass Stud Screw – Used as a foundation between two plates (T-Types).
Onboard Light Sensor – Measures ambient light.
Onboard Sound Sensor – Detects the intensity of sound.
Onboard Thermistor – Measures ambient temperature.
Onboard Gyroscope – Measures angular velocity.
