Objective: To provide students with real-life insights into strategic HRM and help them understand
the relation between theory and practice.
Brief Profile of Guest: Ms. Divya Mishra is Head of HR at Global development Center

Brief Description of the Session: The session started with insightful lessons which she learned
throughout his career. Talking about the importance of Strategic HRM, she talked about Uberization
of Manpower in the modern days and how it is expected to create an impact in the way
organisations would need to handle its employees. Continuing with the lecture, Ms. Divya
highlighted various challenges which HR faces in the family-owned businesses from the strategic
decision-making point of view. HR continuous to face barriers when it comes to making strategic
level decisions and it is important for any HR manager to continuously prove their worth not just by
mere words but in terms of business numbers. Touching upon the theory, Ms. Divya talked about
various levels of strategy namely – Corporate Level, Business Level and Operational / Functional
Level. She explained them all through a real-life example highlighting how such strategic decision
making involves HR at times when the company faces the major business challenge of ‘growth’.

with corporate strategies, inputs and components of a marketing strategy, development of strategies
with customers to grow and maintain customer relationships, formulation of strategies for
developing new and modified products, concepts, goods and services and for the efficient and
effective distribution of products, concepts, goods and services that respond to evolving market
needs.

“Acompworld” is a solution provider for Corporates, Government and Startups. He had done his
graduation from Vindhya Region.
Brief Description of the session: The session focussed on the importance of managerial decision making
keeping in view industry requirements of the current scenario. Student took keen interest and participate as
Decision Maker in few scenarios through case studies of Big Bazar, Artificial Intelligence and many more. He
also suggested students with various certified courses related to the area, explaining their global presence,
internship and placement opportunities and other important information.

today’s business scenario.
Brief Profile of Guest: Dr. Isha Kaur Rakhra is a faculty of Management Studies at Department of
Business Administration, Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa (M.P.). She had experience in
Serving on faculty committees dealing with research, budgets, curriculum planning and
requirements and staffing.
Brief Description: The lecture started with this quote emphasizing the importance of etiquettes in the
modern times, especially in the formal business scenario. Dr. Rakhra believed that business etiquettes can
make a huge difference in a person’s future success. Talking about the benefits of having good business
etiquettes, Dr. Rakhra highlighted that a person etiquette will reflect his or her first impression which decides
how that person will be judged. Professional Business Etiquette not only helps a person in building their
rapport with his co-workers but also with the customers of the company which ultimately helps in business
growth. Dr. Rakhra reminded the students of the ABC of communication, showing how important the non-
verbal communication is. Many tips regarding how to maintain a positive business etiquette included –
Treating people the way you want to be treated, A genuinely smiling face and Eye contact. The discussions
were complemented by some small informative fun activities. The session continued with attention being
given to topics like – Attitude, Dressing sense, How to introduce oneself, Meeting Etiquette and E-Mail
etiquette which hold a lot of significance for the future managers.

Brief Profile of Guest: Mr. Awadhesh Kumar Singh is a reputed professional in the Power Sector.
He has a Bachelor's degree in Science and Engineering and Master's degree in Technology. He has
been in Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur and IIT Delhi alumnus. Prof. A K
Singh has worked with many leading industrial organizations of the country like BHEL, ABB, L&T
etc.
Brief Description of the session: During the Session, Mr. Awadhesh Kumar Singh told that
technological change will force changes in basic managerial functions. There will be increased
responsibility on management for organization outcomes leading to added emphasis on planning,
decision making, control and coordination. A changing tech landscape will require managers to
keep on top of not only their team’s skills and training, but their own, too Technology has helped
businesses effectively manage, retrieve and organize documents, not only increasing productivity,
but also reducing storage and operational costs.

Brief Description of the Session: Dr. Atul Pandey opened the session with how technology industry
transforming in the digital world. It was an eye opener for the students. He explained how digital
transformation has changed our world by quoting the real time examples like PayTM, Aadhaar card, Tesla
car for automobile industry and many more. He gave few guide lines for students regarding employment and
corporate world. Dr. Atul Pandey during his Lecture covered the areas like Search Engine Optimization,
Search Engine Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Mobile Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Content
Marketing & Scope of Digital Marketing.

TOPIC: Tips and Tricks to improve Communication Skills and Personality Development
Brief Profile of Guest: Dr. Isha Kaur Rakhra is a faculty of Management Studies at Department of

Brief Description: In her Session, She told the skills to improve communication including 7 C’s of
Communication, 20 adjectives to describe someone’s personality, commonly mispronounced silent
letter words in English, facts about glassophobia, its symptoms, reasons, great people who had
glossophobia and overcoming glassophobia. She also gave the tips for personality development of
students.

Brief Description of the Session: He talked about the importance of understanding subjects from a
macro level and he further spoke on how one can get an idea of what lies where in their respective jobs by
putting themselves in the shoes of their bosses and obtaining a holistic vision. Mr. Solanki then discussed
the new emerging trends in technology and in marketing domain which are challenging the status
quo. He stressed how success is not determined by the ranks one holds but by focusing on the
longevity of career and evolving oneself as leaders. Further, he advised choosing a career option
which immediately puts oneself in a situation to learn at the grassroots level.
He also talked on how to manage people, be it the boss or the subordinates, and gave insights on
right kind of behaviour to possess while interacting with people around in ones work setup. He
further spoke about the importance of ethics and personal values in corporate life. He then
concluded by urging the students to be humble, to learn from the shop floor and to never
compromise in their value system.

Brief Description of the Session: He discussed the usage of quality control and quality systems by
manufacturing companies all over the world, particularly notably Toyota Motors of Japan. The
following QMS subjects were covered by him: TQM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, Lean
Manufacturing, JIT Management, and QC, SQC, and TQM. By introducing TQM, the speaker
enabled the students to reframe their way of thinking. Consumers are willing to pay more for
quality. He has provided an overview of the development of quality by emphasising Six Sigma and
lean sigma.

Brief Description of the session: Dr. Rajiv Sijaria, Professor of Management Faculty of Jawaharlal
Nehru University, took the session on the subject "E-learning". During the session, he told that the
biggest feature of E-learning is that students can do their academic work at anytime and anywhere
according to their convenience. Through E-learning, students can access web based study as well as
understand its complex aspects by watching it again and again.

Objective: To provide deep insights to students about the key issues in talent planning, identifying
and assessing high-potential talent in current scenario and redesigning the performance & reward
system in current scenario.
Brief Description of the session: He talked in detail about talent planning and its lifecycle process
of four stages that include talent acquisition, talent development, talent planning and talent reward.
Mr. Santosh Dwivedi gave great wisdom on how to reject the unfit from group rather than selecting the
‘right fit’. He stressed on how more than the right fit, it is now important to align the right USP of the talent
pool with that of the company.In the current corporate scenario, supply has exceeded the demand and
it has become crucial to showcase ones’ USP to be able to be recognized as an asset for the
company. With advancements in technology and with artificial intelligence slowly gripping the
world, talent acquisition is slowly shifting onto a digitalized platform.. Mr. Santosh Dwivedi gave
the example of Steve Jobs of Apple and Elon Musk of Tesla and SpaceX, who are mustangs,
respected more for their intellectual capability rather than their behavioural aspects.

Brief Description of the Session: During the session, he talked about the different business ideas
for MSME, purpose and importance of MSME to our economy. He also told the qualification,
procedure and documents required for registration. He told about the different sectors of MSME
and most common types of small businesses. He also discussed the skills required for career as an
entrepreneur in MSME and the reasons to choose a career in MSME.

experience in Insurance Sector.
Brief Description of the Session: In his session, he told the different areas of insurance and types
of jobs in the insurance industry and career paths with job duties and salaries. He also discussed the
skills required for career in insurance and the reasons to choose a career in insurance sector. Mr.
Pandey discussed in detail about the insurance companies working in government and private sector
to the students. He told that insurance not only makes life easier for the common man, but it also
contributes a lot in increasing the country's income. There is also an opportunity for students in
insurance for the posts ranging from insurance agent to ADO, DO etc., for which students can
prepare from today itself.

There are certain costs at stake when you choose a wrong strategy. He explained the costs of
resources, opportunity and time. In order that a correct strategy is chosen for success, there is a
strategy that can be adopted. Firstly, the concept of 5 Why's can be applied to find the cause of the
problems hindering an organization's success. Secondly, understanding the marketing mix of an
organization for finding better ways of achieving success. It is also important to set goals and
introduce innovation into strategy. The concept of SMART is generally used. He concludes by
quoting several examples from companies that are contemporarily adopting strategies for success.
The lecture was informative and insightful. It also provided us information on importance of
marketing in an organization and the several opportunities one can take up in the field of sales and
marketing. It told us the importance of having a strategy in order to attain success. The underlying
tagline of the lecture was "HAVE A STRATEGY, BE A WINNER!"

Brief Description of the Session: He explained about the most important things to keep in mind
while starting a start-up. He explained that one of the most important thing of a start-up is to start
one with co-founders. This helps in not just providing varied ideas, but also for sharing
responsibility between couple of people. The investors are usually looking to invest in start-ups
which are co-founded. The start-up begins with the inception of an idea. This idea, is a result of
identifying what is missing in the world. An entrepreneur identifies this and converts this idea into a
viable product or service. The next step is to create prototypes of the product/service, and introduce
this to a sample target customer base to gain feedback. Based on the feedback received from the
customers, the entrepreneur should constantly make iterations and improve the products/services.
The start-up needs to be open to feedback while being vocal and proactive to receive the same from
the customers.

Brief Profile of Guest: Dr. Pramod Solanki is founder of Performance Enablers, consulting
company which is giving services to country and abroad. He got his early education from Satna. He
has worked in many reputed companies like Sun Pharma, L&T, etc.
Brief Description of the session: In his talk, Dr. Pramod Solanki emphasized on being able to live
the life of your choice, fully leveraging your capabilities. He told that always determine your values
because to realize our full potential, we need to know our values and live according to them. He
pointed out that once we consider our values, we begin to devote time to sketch what we envision as
realizing our true potential. During the lecture, he encouraged the students to set values in life,
make maximum use their potentials, keep a positive attitude, recognize their strengths and
weaknesses.

Brief Description of the session: In his Session, Dr. Rajkumar Acharya portrayed glorious history

education of Swami Vivekananda, he said that education means the development of the inherent

Brief Description of the session: Ms. Mahalakshmi started the lecture by explaining ‘Legal Intention
and Capacity of contract’ to the students. Further, Ms. Mahalakshmi gave valuable insights to the
student managers on ‘Consideration and Free Consent’. They speakers also briefed students about,
how to form agreements, and what differentiates a void contract with the illegal one etc. She discussed
practical case studies with the students.. The need and importance of legal provisions was also shared
with students. Mainly some important cases dealing with business were very interesting.

Brief Description of the session: The lecture basically focused on leadership and the key factors that
are required to become a leader. As per the conversation, leadership is a guidance that is given to
others. Leadership cannot be taught. It comes from experience. In this context, he also said that the key
to success in an endeavor is the ability to lead others successfully. But before leading others you also
need to know how to lead yourself. He said that the basic definition of leadership is to influence
others. The next important point was to priorities things and that is the key to leadership. He also said
that the most important ingredient of leadership is Integrity. A leader should also have right attitude.
What happens to a person does not matter but how that person respond to that situation is more
important. He also mentioned that a leader should have a clear vision because it is the indispensable
quality of a leader.

Brief Profile of Guest: Dr. Sapna Chauhan is entrusted with the role of HR Manager at Parul
University and is additionally working as an Assistant Professor at Parul Institute of Engineering
and Technology (PIET) for MBA Program, Faculty of Management Studies, Parul University
(Vadodara, Gujarat). She has got around 12+ year of diverse experience in Industry and Academia.
Brief Description of the session: Dr. Chauhan said that new skills and strategies are needed to
remain competitive in the current business and economic environment. He said that the world and
our future are changing, uncertain, complex, diverse. The jobs that are available at present, more
than half of the jobs will not exist in future. Through various inspirational stories, she described in
detail the power of faith, success through struggle, opportunity in challenges, teamwork, urge to

Objective: To understand the importance and process for E- filing of income tax return.

Brief Description of the session: The session started with an explanation of the basic concepts of Income
Tax. Students were briefed about computation of taxable income and application of deductions under various
sections. Provisions and pre-requisites for filing return of Income were also explained thoroughly. For ease
of understanding the filing of Income Tax Return, a demo was given to the students through
www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in . The information shared raised the inquisitiveness of the students who
asked questions related to the topic. The session was informative and educative for the management students

Brief Profile of Guest: Mr. Shivendra Pandey is a development officer in LIC. He had 11 years of
experience in Insurance Sector and 5 years of experience in Corporate Sector.
Brief Description of the session: During the session, he discussed that landing a job after MBA
degree has never been straightforward. Students should prepare themselves for an ever-changing market.
Soft skills are more important skills to earn the first job, than the core MBA subjects of finance and
marketing. During this knowledge-enriching and informative session, Mr. Shivendra addressed the
MBA students on Corporate Expectations from Students and Overview of Banking and Financial
Services Industry. Further, he discussed that Recruitment operations are becoming a much more short
term with changing market and technology scenarios. Companies seek a specific combination of skills and
this combination keeps on changing from time to time. Just an MBA degree does not suffice to the skill
requirements in a fresh MBA graduate. While the ability to work with a wide variety of people is one of the
most important skills, time management, understanding of the digital impact on businesses and building a
sustaining people network is considered as highly rated skills in an MBA graduate today.
