Introduction:
Hi, good evening! First of all, I am really feeling pleasure to be here with all of you and I
am thankful to you for having me in this interview session. My name is ZESHAN
ABBAS and as you know I belong to Pakistan there are four provinces in Pakistan and I
live in Punjab. I got my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engg from SCET RYK that is
the affiliated college of UET LHR. I Scored 3.22 CGPA out of 4. My final year project
was related to HVAC.
After that I completed Master in ME Energy System Engineering from MUET Jamshoro
that is the top-ranking University under HEC Pakistan. I was the topper of my batch and
as well gold medalist of my session. I scored 4 CGPA out of 4.
I did research in the field of solar energy; I analyzed the impact of various environmental
parameters on the performance of photovoltaic system like ambient temperature and
humidity. I published three researches paper and working on another one as well.

1. What is your academic future plan?

In fact, I have done master studies in the field of Energy system engineering and I have done
research on renewable energy so I'm interested in areas related to indigenous and alternative
energy resources.

My upcoming research plans are:

i. Power generation from indigenous and alternative energy resources

ii. Hybrid power system
iii. New energy vehicle power control
iv. Preparation and lubrication mechanism of bearings
v. Engine electronic control
vi. Engine automatic control and regulation
vii. Prepared lubricated long-life water retention mechanism
viii. Automotive engine’s piston CFD analysis

2. Why did you choose this university?

Oh yeah well, it’s a nice question, it's really difficult to give an answer to this question because
living in a developing country I'm not getting such modern facilities and financial support.
Similarly, China is a developed country offering opportunities for students from all over the
world so, there are many reasons for this:

i. First of all, it is the world's top-ranking university and is under the 50 best engineering
institutions in the world.
ii. It is equipped with the latest and modern technology labs and also has well-educated
technical staff.
iii. And my research interests are mixed with supervisor research directions and guidelines
so that’s why I am inspired and ecstatic with this university.

3. Will you stay more in china after completion of your degree?

No, I will not stay in China after the completion of my degree I will return to my country and do
not look for a job in China.

I am ambitious to serve my country after completing my degree in China because my country is

a developing country and it needs fresh researchers to utilize their knowledge in different
research fields in the country hence, it is necessary for me to apply my knowledge there.

And I also want to spend my other time of life with my family that is why I still have no plan to
live more after completing my PhD studies.

4. Why do you want to come in china?

So why did I come to China? I came to China because I don't want to spend my life stuck in one
part of the world.

I came to China because I wanted to challenge myself and learn Chinese, the supposedly hardest
language in the world.

I came to China because I wanted to experience a culture so unlike my own because I love
learning about people, about our lives and how one species can live in so many different ways.

I came to learn Chinese so I can converse with 25% of the world if the need arises. I came to
China to try the food and the drink.

I came to China to let my senses experience that which they could not experience in my own
country.

I came to China to make friends, to have fun and ultimately enjoy myself.

I hope foreigners remember why they came here in the first place and it is not just for the
economic advantages of being a foreigner in China.

China has a lot more to offer than money and only by widening our perspective shall we notice
it.
