We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Investment
Analyst.
Principal responsibilities:

 Assist in evaluating investment opportunities by undertaking detailed analysis, inter alia, strategic,
financial, market, commercial, management
 Assist in investment due diligence process and managing internal and external advisors (strategic,
commercial, market, financial, etc.)
 Prepare investments submissions
 Work on the internal administrative processes
 Assist in all investment execution process including documentation, compliance, internal sign-offs
 Monitor investments and help prepare valuations and strategic returns reviews
 Support quarterly valuations work
 Proactive in research and due diligence of opportunities
 Ability to prioritize and be responsible for aspects of the investment process.
 Flexibility and enthusiasm to explore new ideas and opportunities.
 Able to work under pressure and in a small team.
 Good in networking and socializing opportunities widely, both internally and externally.
 Attention to detail and able to work within quick turnaround times.
Qualifications - External

 Knowledge and enthusiasm for venture capital


 Experience of working in small teams with senior investment professionals
 Solid understanding of the financial markets and key trends
 Experienced in researching, analysing and presenting on industries, companies and strategy
 Experience in financial modelling and company valuations
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 Entrepreneurial attitude.

The Opportunity:
Strategic Innovation Investments is one of the key pillars of HSBC’s global innovation strategy and
focused on accelerating innovation at HSBC through investments in emerging companies relevant to
financial services.
Investments will be made on the basis of financial returns and strategic/commercial returns to
HSBC’s strategy, business lines, operations, regions, products and services as appropriate.
The team is seeking a full-time Analyst to join the team to principally provide:

 Support to senior investment professionals in all aspects of the investment process (origination,
due diligence, execution, etc.)
 Support the team in achieving key strategic goals and managing of internal and external
stakeholders as appropriate.
