Okay now that you have a basic understanding of what freelancing is, your real training begins.
I’ve also included some PDFs for you and templates. You can download them to your phone or
computer.
You will also notice text below all of the videos where I went into more detail. From this point forward
you are a freelancer.
By your request, I have put together a step by step list of the freelancing process you should generally
follow. The videos you watch below will expand upon this simple list.
Freelancing Steps
3. Build an organic social media following on the platform your prospects hang out.
5. Begin DMing prospects on social media with a value message leading with value or a question.
6. Gather social proof by working for low pay in exchange for testimonials.
8. Begin systemizing your process so you can hire people when you’re ready.
9. Continue finding clients until you reach your desired income level.
10. Hire other freelancers to do the work that you want to offload.

THE SKILLS LIST REFERENCED IN THE VIDEO ABOVE... STARTS ON PAGE 7 OF THIS PDF

Picking your niche is simple. Start with what you’re naturally drawn to. Meaning, if you’re drawn to
crypto, you probably know more than the average person does about crypto. Also - you will enjoy the
work you do.
On the other hand, let’s say the new trend is some new tech and you have ZERO interest in it. You’d
avoid it (at least in the beginning).
As you would have to force yourself to learn + would get left in the dust by anyone who’s interested in it
already. The goal for you RIGHT NOW is to get you to your first client.
So you will start with what you are naturally interested in. We will go into this in more depth, after you
have completed the Freelancing Course.
I did cover this before in the video from Tutorial 1, yes, yes it is as simple as it sounds.

This is your reminder to make sure you are taking notes from every video you watch. You will get out of
this what you put in. Put more effort into taking notes, understanding the material, and taking action ---

You can use this as a template for making contracts with clients. Most will be word of mouth, but tweak
this to fit your needs. (I am not giving legal advice, do your own research)

together a Tools channel for you within the Freelancer Channel. Keep your eyes out for that.
How to Onboard a Client
https://vimeo.com/743163072/ec554f3994
Onboarding your clients is about getting everything you need from them and getting started. This should
be done professionally from the get go.

Retaining clients comes down to getting them results so that they keep paying you every month.

I have almost no money. How much money will this take to start earning $$$?
You’ve paid for HU and that’s all you need to pay for in the beginning. Sure, some software will help but
you do not need them. All you need are social media accounts (free) and effort put in.
To build credibility you simply show up daily and provide value while building rapport. I will be going
more into this soon.
No, you don’t need a brand to get clients. However, it makes it much easier and gives you the freedom
to take any path you want down the line. Example: If I decide to stop doing client work, I’ve got 22k+
followers on Twitter and 11.9k on IG. Meaning I’ve built a real asset that can be leveraged in anything
inside and outside of freelancing.
NEVER lie as it doesn’t help you at all. If a client asks about your company literally say, “My company XYZ
is a one man show as I like to give clients direct access to me and show them I’m fully invested in their
success” See that’s a way to flip it into a positive. With or without an LLC you can still have a company
name. However, don’t sell yourself as some big company when you’re not.
This is up to you. I always recommend $500 to $1k to total beginners. Once you’ve got a client or two
under your belt and are CERTAIN you will deliver on what you tell them, feel free to increase your prices.
Treat your clients as a friend. Showing you’re 100% dedicated to their success. Respond quickly and
don’t be afraid to tell them they’re wrong. They are paying you for results, meaning you are the expert.
They don’t want some yes man who agrees with everything.
A good number of clients is 3-5. At this level, you’re not having to work 10 hours a day (if you follow
what I teach) and you’re earning $1k to $5k per client. However, you can work with as many as you
want. My intention for you here is to get you earning $10k/month quickly. Once you’ve got that kind of
income, you can start making serious moves.
You are ready for your next client once you’ve got a system in place. Meaning your client is getting
consistent results and you can handle the extra workload. That’s why a recurring theme you’ll learn
from me is to work on what actually matters.
1) Stripe
2) Wise
3) PayPal
4) Crypto
5) Gumroad
Stripe is the easiest as you can send them a payment link. However, depending on your country you may
not be able to use this.*
Wise (used to be called Transferwise) is a great way to pay staff and accept payments from clients. The
“issue” with Wise is it can be confusing for clients to set up. The reason I like this method though is the
fees are lower than PayPal and the ease of sending out payments. You can get started with a personal
and business account here:
https://wise.com/invite/ua/dylanm526
PayPal is easy and most people have an account. My biggest issue with PayPal however are the fee’s and
they’ll randomly lock up your account.
I’ve only personally had $8k locked up for 24 hours one time. So all in all my experience has been good.
Students and allies have had much larger amounts of money locked up for months. While you will
probably never experience this, I try to avoid using PayPal as much as possible.
Crypto is another easy way to accept payments. BTC/ETH/ChainLink/USDT are the ones that I use. It’s a
good way to build up coins and increase your income. Obviously, the thing you want to pay attention to
is the current price of your specific coins.
One day you may have your $2k client payment there, then you don’t watch it for a few days and only
have $1,800.
Gumroad is the LAST resort that I’ve only recommended to students who live in India. The fees can be
high, but it’s also an easy way to accept payments.
Retainer
Performance Based
Gigs are fine, but you shouldn’t build your business around them unless they’re for bigger payments. I’ve
seen too many freelancers get stuck doing $200 and $500 gigs and keep themselves inside of a
perpetual cycle of low income.
They serve their purpose in the beginning to get cash flow and experience. You can also find certain
skills that can make you $10k for a single gig.
Just make sure you’re aware of other ways to get paid. This leads me to…Retainers.
Retainers are a great way to build a sustainable income. Meaning you know every month your two
clients are going to send in their payments. This gives you the ability to control your lifestyle.
Meaning if you know every month you will have $5k/month coming in, you can earn more to upgrade
your lifestyle or know your bills are paid for the month. Once you get the retainers in place, you will
remove stress around how much you have out of your life.
If you need another grand one month? That’s closing one new client.
Performance Based is the next best way to get paid. If you’re good at what you do, you can work out
deals for 10% to 25% (sometimes even more) of every sale. Meaning if you’re good at what you do, you
can easily leverage this into a great income.
For these types of deals, it’s best to use an affiliate link. If they sell on Gumroad or most of the popular
selling platforms, this is easy.
You simply give them your email (if using Gumroad, you must have a Gumroad account), and then with
whatever service you provide, they will use your affiliate link. Making it very easy to track. Extra idea for
you…performance based is a great way to get clients with ZERO experience. As they only pay you when
you make them money.
