1. Visit the website https://www.incometax.gov.

in/iec/foportal/
This is the same website used to file annual tax returns.

2. On the top right of the page there are buttons for Login or Register. If you already have an
account, please login else register on the website.

3. After login, go to the e-File tab and select the option ‘e-pay Tax’.

4. Click on ‘New Payment’ button on the next page.


5. On the new payment page click ‘Proceed’ button on the 26QB (TDS on Sales of Property)
section.

6. Select the appropriate option for the following mandatory details on the next page
 Residential Status of Seller (this will always be Residential)
 Whether more than one Buyer

The other details such as your PAN, address, mobile and email ID will be auto-populated.
Click ‘Continue’

7. On the next page provide the mandatory details of the Seller


 PAN
 Address
 Mobile number and Email
 Whether more than one Seller (this will always be No)
Click ‘Continue’

8. Provide details of the property purchased.


 Type of property
 Address of property
 Date of agreement / booking
 Total Value of Consideration (Property Value)
 Date of Payment/ Credit made to Seller
 Date of Deduction (this will be auto-populated by the webpage)
 Stamp duty value of property
 Payment type
 Total Amount Paid/ Credited to seller (this value should be the amount paid to the
developer against which you are making the TDS payment For Eg: if you have paid
Rs. 4,95,000 against a demand note of Rs. 5,00,000 after deducting 1% TDS then the
amount paid should be mentioned as Rs. 5,00,000 and the TDS amount will get
calculated as Rs. 5,000).
 TDS Amount (this will be auto-populated as 1% of the amount above)

Click ‘Continue’ and choose the appropriate payment option on the next page.
