I. Objectives:
CONTENT STANDARD:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and principles in setting
up computer servers
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learners shall be able to set up computer servers based on acceptable
standards and hardware
LEARNING COMPETENCY:
Set up user access in accordance with operating system features- Personal
Protective Equipment (TLE_IACSS9- 12SUCS-IIIa-e-37)

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

1. enumerate the types of personal protective devices;
2. cite examples of Anti-static devices, Power surge protectors, and Personal
equipment;
3. determine the importance of using proper tools/equipment in performing
tasks.

Following the principles of SMART in formulating the objectives

Cognitive constructivism-states knowledge is something that is actively
constructed by learners based on their existing cognitive structures.
Therefore, learning is relative to their stage of cognitive development. GSI

Strategy:
The Five Es Instructional Model
(by Roger Bybee of The Biological Science Curriculum Study)

1. Engage: This stage provides the opportunity for the teachers to discover what students know or
what they think they know.
2. Explore: This stage provides a common set of experiences as well as a broad range of
experiences. This stage allows students to compare what they think about with what they are
actually observing.
3. Explain: This stage provides opportunities for students to connect their previous experiences and
to begin to make conceptual sense of the main ideas within the unit of study.
4. Elaborate: In this stage students apply or extend the concepts in new situations and relate their
previous experiences to new ones.
5. Evaluate: Evaluation of students' conceptual understanding and ability to use skills begins at the
Engage stage and continues throughout the model.

III. Assignment

Strategy: The concept of deep and surface learning from the research of Marton and Säljö in 1976

Deep learning-In this approach learners look at the significance of what they are
being taught and attempt to make sense of it, connecting information and thinking
into the topic. They look for the overall meaning and attempt to process information in
a holistic way. The learners develop their own interpretation of the content by
integrating it with their existing knowledge. Deep learning develops critical analysis
and encourages long term retention of concepts.
