1. Prelim Grade (PG)

WHAT DOES 5S MEAN?

5S is a workplace organization method that uses a list of


five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seisō, seiketsu, and
shitsuke. The list describes how to organize a work space
for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and storing the
items used, maintaining the area and items, and sustaining
the new order.
The decision-making process usually comes from a
dialogue about standardization, which builds understanding
among employees of how they should do the work
5S is a structured program to systematically
achieve total organization, cleanliness and
standardization in the workplace.

NSTP?

NSTP refers to the program aimed at enhancing


civic consciousness and defense preparedness in
the youth, by developing the ethics of service and
patriotism while undergoing training in any of the
three (3) program components, specifically
designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution
to the general welfare.

The primary objective of the NSTP law is to promote


the role of the youth in nation-building. As such, it
aims to encourage the youth to become civic and/or
military leaders and volunteers whom could be called
upon by the nation in cases their services are
needed.

Who are Required to complete NSTP
component of their choice as a graduate
requirements?

• All incoming freshmen students, male and female,


enrolled in any baccalaureate and in at least two
year technical vocational or associate courses.
PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
The above provision however does not cover the
following:
 - Students who have completed their NSTP requirement who will
finish or graduate from baccalaureate degree or two (2) year TVET
program and pursuing or enrolled in another or additional;
baccalaureate or TVET.

 Students who completed any of the three (3) NSTP components but
have transferred or shifted to another academic course or
educational; institution.
PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

 Pursuant to Section 16 (2) of RA 10742, otherwise known as the


“Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015:, and Joint
Memorandum Circular No. 1, s. 2019, all Sangguniang Kabataan
officials who comply with the prescribed requirements and in good
standing, whether elected or appointed, shall during incumbency,
be exempted from taking the NSTP-CWTS subjects.

What is the primary duty of the government to its


citizens?

 The primary duty of the government is to serve and protect its


citizens, in turn it shall be the responsibility of all citizens to
defend the security of the state, and in fulfillment thereof, the
government may require each citizen to render personal,
military or civil service.

How does the government recognize the role of the


youth in nation-building?

 In recognition of the vital role of the youth in nation building ,


the state shall promote civic consciousness among them and
shall develop their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and

nationalism, and the advance their involvement in public and
civic affairs.

CWTS OF COMPLETION
CERTIFICATE
Certificate of Completion with corresponding Serial Number
issued by CHED, TESDA, or DND, shall be awarded by the
SUCs, TVIs, LUCs, and PHEIs to students who have
successfully complied with the program requirements. Such
Serial Number shall be indicated in the official Transcript of
Records of each NSTP graduate.
