Geo Location based Medical Emergency Service using Android

Medical emergencies arise at any time or anywhere. This technology can be used
in order to provide healthcare services, which helps a patient to find a hospital
nearest to his location and avails proper treatment on time and is deployed on a
mobile device having an Android-based platform which is conveniently used and
carried that works with the help of GPS system. In this system, Admin will manage
the doctors and check the register patient’s details. A doctor can log in and
update his own profile can also change their password. A doctor will get
emergencies, appointment status and also the patient details. The user can
register and in case of an emergency user will set the location and link for the
nearby doctor and raise the emergency request. The user will get the nearby
location doctor list for raising emergency request, the user needs to give basic
details for registration in an emergency. The user can register and login into the
application, where the user can view and update their profile and change
password. On the dashboard, the user will get various options, where the user
can check for Hospitals, Ambulance, and pharmacy of their nearby location. User
supposes to search doctor from their nearby location and manage appointment
User need to upload all their medical history reports. A user can also view the
reports and health status added by the doctor.
 Modules:

The system comprises of 3 major modules with their sub-modules as follows:

1. User/Patient:

 First Page: Map with current location and can change the source location
and link buttons for Doctors etc.
 Doctors: Users will get the list of doctors on Map with Search type Name
and Type
 Doctor Details: Users will get the details & options for Appointment &
Emergency (Ambulance option if selected Emergency)
 Register: Users can register by providing the basic information.
 Login: Users can login using credentials.
 Profile: Users can view and update their profiles
 Change Password: Users can change their password.
 Dashboard: User can Link buttons to Different Modules
 Pharmacy/Ambulance/hospital: User can view list of Pharmacies around
you using Google Place API, Google Maps API & Google Direction API
 Appointment: Users will Manage Appointments
o Search filter on Doctor Search
o User can view, add, update and delete appointments.
 Medical History: User can manage Medical History
o User can view status and reports added by doctors.

2. Admin:

 Manage Doctors: Admin can view, add, update and delete doctors.
 View Patients: Admin can view patient’s details.
3. Doctor:

 Login: Doctor can login using credentials.


 Profile: Doctor can update their profile.
 Change Password: Doctor has authority to change their passwords.
 Home: They can view Today's Emergencies
 Appointments: They can view and update appointment status.
 Emergencies: Doctor can view the emergency request.
 Patient Details: can be accessed from Appointments & emergency list
o patient details

o they can add medical details to the patient’s medical history
Notification on Emergency: Incase of emergency doctor will be getting
notifications when the patient will raise the request.
Project Lifecycle:

Description
The waterfall Model is a linear sequential flow. In which progress is seen as
flowing steadily downwards (like a waterfall) through the phases of software
implementation. This means that any phase in the development process begins
only if the previous phase is complete. The waterfall approach does not define the
process to go back to the previous phase to handle changes in requirement. The
waterfall approach is the earliest approach that was used for software
development.

 User can easily get information of doctors, pharma stores and


ambulance facilities of nearby location.

 In emergency user can call for help and raise request to doctor of
nearby location.

 User don’t need to carry their files every time, history of patient can
be saved in application by uploading reports.

 Limitation
 Data need to be entered properly otherwise, outcome may won’t be
accurate.

 Application
 This system can be used by the multiple peoples to get the
counselling sessions online.
