II. Procedures
1. Warm-up
- Suggested activity: Discussion: What would you buy if you were given $1000?
- Lead to the topic of Consumerism
- SS watch a video to understand the definition of consumerism:

2. Lead-in
- Textbook activities:
+ Have ss look at the pictures in their textbooks and talk about each picture
+ Ss do the exercises in the textbook
3. Reading: Sentence completion
- Go through each task in the textbook
Notes:
- Pay students’ attention to the tips given
- Tell them the steps or guide them the strategies or practical skills to deal with
each type of task
- For each reading task, tell ss to read, underline key words, find and mark the
information in the text.
- Ask ss to note down the synonyms and paraphrasing in a notework and work
more/revise on them at home.
