Guidelines for B.B.A. “Project Report”

Dear Students,
With all the orientation given about the Summer Internship / Training Programme,
here are some guidelines about carrying out the project and also writing the report of
the project:
1. It is mandatory for all the students to meet their respective Project Guide for
guidance before proceeding with Project Work in the company. Students must
discuss with Internal Guide and finalize the Project Title, Research Methodology,
Questionnaire, etc.
2. At the end of the Fifth Semester each student shall undertake a Project Work. It
is mandatory for the student to seek advance written approval from the
faculty guide about the topic and organization before commencing the
Project Work.
3. The Project Work may or may not have a Functional Focus, i.e., the student may
take up a Project Work in his/her intended area of specialization or in any other
functional area of Management after completion of their B.B.A. Semester V Pune
University Examinations. The student shall submit a written structured report
based on work done during this period.
4. Project Work can be carried out in the:
a) Corporate Entity
b) NGO
c) SME
d) Government Undertaking
e) Cooperative Sector
5. Project Work may be a research project – based on primary/secondary data or
maybe an operational assignment involving working by the student on a given
task/assignment/project / etc. in an organization/industry. It is expected that the
Project Work shall sensitize the student to the demands of the workplace. The
learning outcomes and utility to the organization must be specifically highlighted.
6. After completion of the project, a student should obtain the certificate from the
concerned organization clearly mentioning his / her name, project title, and
duration of the project.
7. If there are two or more students doing the project in the same organization those
students should ensure that they are not working on the same project topics
(Project Titles, Project Objectives, Data, Conclusion, and Suggestions must be
different).
8. A student is not expected to make a general study of the organization like a
fieldwork assignment. The project should reflect a focused study in the field of
specialization on the selected topic.
9. Preferably a student should do the project with the help of a structured
questionnaire considering their topic and specialization.

Page No.1
10. If required, a student is required to get a questionnaire approved by the internal
project guide before starting the project. Poor-quality questionnaires will affect
the quality of the entire project work and will not be accepted by the College.
11. A student must periodically report to the Internal Project Guide during the course
of the project. A student should also give the contact details of the company
project guide to the internal project guide as well as the course coordinator in the
College.
12. During interviews / personal discussions within the organization, a student must
carry his / her College I-card and company card. Also, a student should be
extremely polite to all the concerned staff, respondents, etc., and should
remember that he/she is the ambassador of the College for the organization.
13. A student must preserve all the filled-in questionnaires and related documents
and information for further reference and utility.
14. The report should be well documented and supported by –
1) Executive Summary / Introduction
2) Organization & Product profile
3) Outline of the problem/task undertaken
4) Research methodology & data analysis (in case of research projects only)
5) Relevant activity charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams. etc.
6) Learning of the student through the project
7) Contribution to the host organization
8) References in appropriate referencing styles. (APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago
Style, etc.)
15. It should reflect the nature and quantum of work undertaken by the student. The
report must reflect the work and justify the same.
16. The completion of the Project Work shall be certified by the respective Faculty
Guide & approved by the Principal of the College. The external organization
(Corporate / NGO/ SME/ Government Entity / Cooperative/ etc.) shall also
certify the Project Work if carried out the work.
17. The student shall submit TWO hard copies of the project report before 30th
April 2023 in Semester V. One hard copy is to be returned to the student by the
College after the External Viva-Voce.
18. In the interest of environmental considerations, students are encouraged to print
their project reports on both faces of the paper.
19. There shall be an external viva-voce for the Project Work for 50 marks. The
examiner’s panel for the same shall include one external faculty member
nominated by the University and one internal faculty member nominated by the
Principal of the College. The external viva-voce shall be conducted for 15
