Demoplan Q3
Demoplan Q3
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate understanding of a simple DC circuit and the
relationship between electricity and magnetism in electromagnets
B. Performance Standards The learners should be able to propose a device using electromagnet
that is useful for home school or community
C. Most Essential Learning
Competencies (MELC) Infer the conditions necessary to make a bulb light up (S5FE - IIIf – 6)
(If available, write the Determine the effects of changing the number or type of components in
indicated MELC) a circuit (S5FE - IIIg - 7)
D. Enabling Competencies
(If available, write the a. Discuss safety features and measures on the use of electricity; and
attached enabling b. Apply safety features and measures on the use of electricity
competencies)
E. Values The learners will be able to demonstrate proper use of electricity as a tool
to help them improve academically.
A. References
a. Teacher’s Guide Pages
B. Review of the previous This review will be done in a form of game. The teacher will give a ball
Lesson/Drill to the class and started playing the music. The students will pass the ball to
the person right next to him/her. When the music stops, the one holding
the ball will answer the questions.
Directions: Read and analyze the sentences well. Click TRUE if the
sentence is correct and FALSE if the statement is incorrect.
1. In a parallel circuit, when one bulb is loosened, the other bulbs will still
light up.
2. In a series circuit, electric current flows in different pathways.
3. In a parallel circuit, each bulb has its own pathway.
4. Light bulbs in your house is an example of a series circuit.
5. In a series circuit, when one bulb is loosened, the other bulbs will not
light up.
V. LESSON PROPER
A. ENGAGE
The class will be divided into four groups. Each group will be given
different set of activities they need to perform and finish in the given time.
C. EXPLAIN Most households have several devices that make use of electricity. The
number of appliances that you have at home shows how important
electricity is in our everyday lives. Electricity is very useful to us. However,
when it is used carelessly, it can also be very dangerous. Electricity can
cause electric shock and burns. At worst, it can kill people. In this lesson, you
will learn ways to avoid electrical accidents at home.
1. What should you not do when your hands are wet or when you are
standing on wet surfaces?
2. What should you do when you are not using your appliances?
