DEMOLITIONS

(All Provisional)

The Contractor is to allow for all temporary protection


required during the alteration works including ordinary
and special dust screens, shoring and strutting,
hoardings, scaffolding, barriers, warning signs, etc as
directed by the Project Manager/Architect

All the Rates for items of demolitions and removal shall include
shoring making good disturbed areas to match existing and
loading and carting away debris unless otherwise specified

The works shall be executed in such order or sequence


as the Project Manager may direct

A All existing works shall be propped, strutted and prepared as


necessary for the alteration work. All debris and surplus
materials arising from demolitions shall be removed from the
site and all existing works disturbed made good to match new
or existing works all to the entire satisfaction of the Project
Architect. The Project Architect shall also identify the
Materials for re-use, and these shall be carefully removed,
cleaned, stored where directed on site and afterwards fixed to
the entire satisfaction of the Project Architect. Materials
arising from demolition reserved for the Employer shall be
carefully cleaned stacked on site where directed and the
Project Architect shall at his sole discretion take possession
of same on or before the date of practical completion,
otherwise clearing away will imply that they become the
property of the Contractor who will allow credit in his rates
accordingly

Item

B Special care should be observed when working within or


adjacent to the existing areas. Dust proof hoarding screens
should be erected to contain any dust, particles or such
matter from falling on to the existing materials and client
property. Where necessary the tenderer is advised to work
in bays (or part of bays) to avoid any disruptions to the
neighbours and ongoing processes.
